One of the few honest business s of its kind. Could not recommend them more.I went to Benny s for an oil change and they completely stripped the bolt for my drain plug and made it essentially unusable (they had to vacuum out the oil). So when I came here for my next oil change they had to replace the whole thing. Immediately they called Subaru, ran across town to grab the piece, and because it was taking longer then expected and my wife couldn t come pick me up (newborn at home), the owner, Blaze, drove me home personally. While at my house he checked on an issue with my truck and when I brought it in they fixed it free of charge.Phil who works up front is also one of the nicest people you ll ever meet.Trust me. Don t go anywhere else - if there is an issue they ll fix it and they ll never try to sell you on services you don t need.

Ragusa s was recommended to me by another trusted mechanic, Adams Repair Works. Great experience. Got an A/C repair in a timely manner and a fraction of what the dealership would ve charged me. Big thanks to Phillip for keeping me updated and informed and making my car feel like a meet locker.

Went in for a tire repair! Took extra time to find and repair. Then said no charge! THAT just doesn't happen! Gracious and kind! Very impressed!

I ve been using Ragusas for many years. They are the very best. Great work & never try to upcharge or sell you some service you don t need like the car dealerships. They are All- Pro. I highly recommend

Ragusa s has been my mechanic for almost two years now and they really are the best. As a woman, I have had some really negative experiences with mechanics and car salesmen alike - just men who think they know more than me about cars and can talk down to me about it - but I always get treated respectfully here. They never overcharge me either. This is an honest business, 100%. They take their work very seriously and will only do the best work on your vehicle. I know this because they explain everything which I really appreciate. Philip, who s usually behind the counter, is so kind, explains everything, gives me a great deal and excellent service, and is so wonderful.I recommend Ragusa s to everyone, they re the best.UPDATE: I took my new car to Ragusas for a buyers check before I bought it to make sure everything was up to snuff. SO glad I did. Philip worked on my car to check everything out and actually took me into the shop to show me specifically what he was talking about, which I so appreciated. He let me take photos of the undercarriage because the car took some damage from a previous owner that I had to know about. Because I got such a thorough explanation from Philip and got to actually see it and take photos, I was well prepared when I went back to the dealer. They of course tried to deny and deny everything but took me seriously when I showed them the photos. Philip helped me get a way better deal on my car by doing this that s the power of a buyers check and a GOOD, THOROUGH, HONEST mechanic!! I appreciate him and Ragusa s so much for their commitment to good service and helping their customers through and through. 6 star review, honestly.

Ragusa's Automotive is a renowned Baton Rouge institution. We have taken multiple cars there over the years, and they have been great at diagnosing and fixing older vehicles at a fair price. When they have not been able to fix things, they have not even charged us for the diagnosis. Once the fix was so minor and quick they did it for free. They can be a little slow, especially when busy or when older cars need parts shipped in, but they generally do a thorough and careful job. Note that they do not fix certain things, like windshields, but for most mechanical problems, they are a great repair shop.

One of the best, most honest mechanics I have ever used. Came in with a list a mile long from another chain repair shop that would have cost thousands to fix. He went through the car and came back with what actually needed to be fixed. Went from multiple thousands of dollars in repairs to a few hundred dollars and the car is back to driving perfectly. Doesn't nickel and dime you to death, simply does the work needed at a more than reasonable price. However, do heed the saying "You can have good service, cheap service, and fast service; pick two." You will get good, cheap service with Ragusa. But it won't be quick. Just be prepared to drop the vehicle off and expect it to take a few days before they're done.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair

Went to Ragusa's for the first time a few weeks ago for my brakes. They determined that I didn't need anything done and replaced a bulb for free. There was no charge for checking. They were very nice and I will certainly send anyone to them who needs quality repairs.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Highly recommend. Blaze and his team at Ragusa's are the best in Baton Rouge. They go above and beyond in their quality of work and customer service. Blaze went so far as to personally come out and drive our car to their shop when it had unsafe tire issues. Ragusa's creates customers for life!

Good people - ran diagnostics on my Jeep Wrangler then did a test drive and figured out that software needed to be reset and can only be done by a dealer - didn t charge me a penny - I would definitely go back for any non-dealer issues.

Have been going to Ragusa's for several years now and would not change my mechanic for anything. Blaze is always professional and honest. I trust him implicitly with our vehicles. Kudos also to the office staff for their professionalism and courteous service. A great local business.

I brought my car in to have a problem diagnosed, and after explaining the symptoms I was having and what I thought it might be, Blaze walked outside, told me to pop the hood and said they could take a look at it. Turns out they cleaned some build-up off my throttle (in a matter of about 5 minutes) and then he hopped in the car with me to test-drive it and make sure it was running okay. And the most incredible part--he didn't charge me anything. Great service, honest guy, wonderful experience. I will definitely be going back here for any future repairs.

I called them (based on a referral and because they are the most convenient to my job) to have parts replaced on my vehicle and told him that I already had the parts. He said he would not be interested in my business. When I asked why, he rudely told me that I "obviously do not understand small business." To me, this means you just wouldn't have the opportunity to add excessive charges. I would be more than happy to pay you your labor that is due and any money that is necessary for any other parts to finish the job. He didn't even ask what the replacement was for to know the scope of work.I have had my car serviced with parts I have provided on previous occasions... by small, locally-owned business before. I could understand if you weren't comfortable doing it because you do not have the history or know the quality of the part provided.I am ALL about supporting local business. Which is why I did not take my business to Firestone or Pep Boys!It's unfortunate, a customer lost (and future referrals) that they obviously could care less about.

If you need an automotive mechanic you can trust, bring your car to Ragusa's. I was referred here when I first moved here in 2014, and I keep coming back. Ragusa and his team provide high-quality automotive repairs at competitive prices, despite the fact that they are not hurting for business and could charge a lot more. More important to me is their SUPERIOR customer service and great attitudes! They will always take the time to talk to you and explain what is going on with your car, and they are willing listen if you have any concerns and walk you through everything. Any issues that have arisen over the years have been handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. You will not find a better place in Baton Rouge!

My daughter s check-engine light came on. She drives a 2015 Subaru. She was concerned with the pricing from the dealer service center, so she took it to Ragusa s and they told her she needed:1) new A/C compressor2) new A/C condenser3) new rear passenger hub bearingsI m not a mechanic, so I bought a code reader that told me there was an issue with O2 sensor or vacuum system. I also jacked up the car and shook the rear passenger wheel to see if there was any play in the bearings there was none. We brought her car to the Subaru dealer and they assured us that the only problem with the car is the O2 sensor. While many mechanics may be honest, they are NOT employees at Ragusa s

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry, so needless to say, I require mechanical work rather frequently. I have been going to Ragusa's for several years. They always provide exceptional work at reasonable prices. The owner is very hands-on and really cares about his business and his customers. I have always been treated like family since day one. I can't say enough great things about this place---you won't regret bringing your car here!

SCAM!My car's weather strips were broken and I had given them the car for an oil change and asked them for the pricing of the weather strips and oil cap, but the person who knew the prices wasn't there at the moment and I was told that they would give me the prices on the phone and later they gave me the price of $25 for oil cap and $200 for the weather strips and I even confirmed them that is it $200 for all the 4 weather strips and that person even confirmed yeah it's $200 for all the 4 weather strips and it will come in next week if I confirm. So I confirmed it and then called them after a week that did the part come in , and it was there so I dropped my car few days past that and they repaired just 1 weather strip and replaced the oil cap and charged $200 for that and when I asked that I was told about 4 weather strips for $200, so the guy refused and said they just gave that price for a single weather strip and oil cap. They got back on their word and I didn't have any proof of the estimate as they gave me the pricing on the phone so I couldn't do anything about it.THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED!!Service: Body & Trim

I've taken my car to Blaze a few times and has always done a great job. He breaks down the process and gave me recommendations for preventative work the car may need later on.I always consult friends or the web for estimates before taking it in, and Blaze's are usually in the same ballpark.

BLAZE was very rude and disrespectful when dropping off a vehicle for my employer. Was explaining the issue to him and apparently had an issue being told what work had been done to the car by someone as young as myself but with years in the industry and just trying to give the guy a run though of its quirks. I would recommend going anywhere that has a better customer service experience. 0/5 stars

Truck blew up right after my house flooded, Two hoses needed replacing. Got me back on the road no charge. This is the best auto shop in town and I have used several. Hands down most professional trust worthy and actually cares about his customers. Regusa's FTW!

Rude, unprofessional, and no accountability. They didn't even look at my car for two days, and they never let me know when the part arrived as promised. After a week, I had to call to learn that the part was in fact there. When I asked why they hadn't called, Blaze was abruptly put on the phone and said, with no sincerity or apology, "We're doing the best we can, and if that's not good enough for you, what do you want us to do?" Then, he called back to say that they're "too busy" and to bring it somewhere else. I was left shocked by his terrible attitude and very disappointed with my experience attempting to support this neighborhood business.

This place is a rip off. They charge a $95 diagnostic fee to read a basic OBII fault code, charged me $115 on top of that to switch out an easy spark plug and ignition coil (15 minutes max), and then put in a new battery I didn't ask for or need. When I politely asked him to explain some of the charges he quickly became rude and defensive, basically throwing a temper tantrum and walking out of the room. I just asked him to explain it. Avoid.

The service was unlike anything i've experienced. They were friendly and attentive. They knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and helped me out tremendously. I'll be going back anytime I have an issue with my vehicle

Just brought my jeep in for a nail in the tire, they fixed it on the spot, and didn't charge a dime. This is what great customer service looks like! Thanks Ragusa! Highly recommend.
