Alert! Alert! Alert!If you are a Semi Truck Driver and you have a breakdown or issues with your equipment, "DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT" take your truck or trailer to this shop.The owner of the shop (Eddie) is a Thug who so happens to own a mechanic shop. He's rude, disrespectful and tries to bully his customers once he gets your equipment into his shop.Doing the 2 weeks I spent waiting on my truck, each week a different customer called The Baton Rouge Police Department over conflicts with their truck.If you value everything you have worked so hard for your entire life, please do not contact this shop. Eddie will trigger and bring out the deepest dark places within you.Do yourself a favor and choose someone else.The only way I could post this message is I have to pick a least one star. Just know, it not worth the one star.

I called to check if the offer service for a wheel seal repair. He automaically got rude about why Im calling them if I already disgnose my turck, as if only they can do that. They he rudly stated why I expected to get it done today. I never asked for it to be done today, hell, I wasnt even going to try to get it done today. The only thing I said when he answered the phone was if they offer services for wheel seal repair, and he started "assuming" what I wanted!!... Very unprofessional and rude, just because he might be having a bad day!!

STAY AWAY FROM Down South Fleet. This place is a joke and Eddie is arrogant crook that intimidate customers. I wish I had read these reviews before I had brought my truck here it was supposed to been there just 1-2 days from what he told me. They held it over 3 weeks. He didn t answer or return my calls I go to the shop my truck just seating in the yard held hostage. Overcharged and storage fees That s his way of manipulating the price. STAY FAR AWAY!

The Worst Place. If you want to get screwed up like us use their service. Do not use repair with them. This guy he can steal your money for nothings if he check your truck, he can take more than thousand if you don t want to lose your time or your money or your truckBe far away, just.I will report them to DOT also. . RIP OFF PLACE. There are a lot of good shops around. Use them instead of this place.

My experience was my experience at your shop. No one complains unless there's something to complain about. You have a multitude of negative complaints with customers. Customers that was disappointed and dissatisfied with your services. Just read the comments.You held my truck hostage for nearly two weeks and still the problem was not fixed. I called you the very next day and told you there was an air leak coming from my transmission. You advise me to bring it back to your shop which is located in Baton Rouge, LA. After the cruel and disrespectful treatment at your shop, to be direct, from you. I refused to do business with you again.You are disingenuous and trying to paint an image of me not honoring my agreement to settle my balance with you. The agreement I signed was to pay the remaining balance on the 27th of October. What follows is what you posted,It s very sinister to pretend to have been taken advantage of when you never settled up like you promised. You even call to say you had a load to Alexander two weeks ago & you never showed up to settle you balance. No good deed goes unpunished. But by the same token, you reap what you sew.Yes, it is very sinister when you don't allow a customer to honor their balance before the due date. Check the date of your post. It was posted before the 27th of Oct. Good try.The bottom line is, "Drivers do not take your equipment to this shop!!!"I would never give you a 5 star Review. I gaveyoua1 star rating because it's the only way you can post anything on this site.

I blew my main air line coming out of my air compressor on my KW T680 and they came to replace it. They were very friendly and the price was fair for a road call.

I'm a over the road truck driver I also own the truck so I have to pay the garage bill. I chose this place thanking that It would be better than a truck stop garage boy was I wrong. I was charged almost $700 to replace one airbag on the back of my truck. That's more than double what it should have been. I did learn a valuable lesson though from now on I'll read reviews before I do business with someone like this because if you read his reviews this isn't his first time talking advantaged of people.

My friend who had his truck Towed in to this shop which over the weekend and which the owner said he would be out to check in which he never did.He tried to tell the driver who is mechanical inclined, that everything what might be wrong trying to scare him which he wasn't( watch and listen to this tactic that they try and use when they start talking how many hours it take to fix something and which and the charge $175.00 a hour.Report this establishment to a BetterBusinessBurea. If you call around to other reputable shops tell them what the problem is get a estimate of work, you can sue this Crooked Corrupt business, there is no way $4,500-$5,500 for a transmission plate, that's like almost a engine over haul in labor..Truck Driver, Owner Operators, carriers, lets ban together to stop companies like this one, I will be back with a email to post to this site so we can communicate, this has to end..We are all we got truckers..

RV emergency roadside tire repair. We had a catastrophic blowout on an inside dually tire on Interstate 10 in Western Louisiana . Down South was contacted by our roadside assistance insurance. They drove about 80 miles on short notice, and got us back on the road in a hurry. They were quick, courteous, and efficient, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any work in the future. Great job, and thanks!

Will try to explain short and clear: First they will offer you somewhat decent price, but then they will play all kind of games and total will be double. Owners and front desk attitude is just horrible, have to spend time and lots of energy and mental health do deal with this nonsense. After having truck there for couple of days because their mechanics quit the jobsite (had some fight between them) in the middle of the repair, driver got annoyed and quit, had to send other driver to pick up the truck and even after calling the cops to safely get the equipment out, had to pay almost double from what was agreed and now we have to file a case in small claims court to get money back. Absolutely outrageous situation.

This company is a great company; I had an issue with my freight truck. They did an awesome job is on my truck by resolving the problem. I highly recommend this company.

They were amazing and professional. I had a major tire blowout on my tractor trailer. It was bad enough I had to get it repaired roadside. The worst part it caused a leak in my fuel lines for my refrigeration unit. I was very concerned about unit being off. Eddie sent a man right out to help address the issue and get parts while his other employee took care of getting what we needed for tire repair. However we were not able to get refrigeration unit to stay running. Eddie came out and him and his two employees worked quickly getting the pieces of the tire that was lodged inside the brake drum removed and the tire changed. With their hard work I was able to get my trailer to ThermoKing who are refrigeration specialist and now trailer working tire fixed and I am good to go. Thank you everyone involved for taking my situation seriously Great Job Guys !!!!!!!PS: I do not remember the two employees names but Eddie, you do. Take care of them Thank YouService: Tire change

This place is a joke they had my truck for a week was parked truck and trailer in the same place we dropped it trailer still connected so I doubt they did anything but maybe hook up the computer. I ve been doing trucking for 10 plus years and never have I dealt with crooks like this shop. I truly don t know how they are in business! When I decided to just go get the truck he claimed to have done the diagnostic the night before and it took 4.5 hours to diag with a bill of over 1000$! Than they ask you to Zelle or cash app them to a remodeling company held my truck hostage for 5 plus hours waiting on the paperwork! Worst mechanic shop ever and deserves negative stars! All I can say is karma will come back to these crooks! Than he turned and blamed the whole situation on me. Crazy I wish I was there in person

Rather tow my truck across state lines than go there again, manager actually accused me of saying things I ve never said, trying to bully me and my father I honestly think he is mentally unstable, and charged over 2,600 and WE brought the parts and let me repeat WE brought the parts so only labor should have been charged they are crooks and I see why the negative reviews are here there is nothing you can say to change the way I look at you cause that scare tactic don t work karma gonna tag you

Since I was recently contacted and asked to leave a review, I will. This shop is extremely unprofessional. I came in for a trailer tail light that was not working little did I know over eight hours later and a $2000 bill. The owner got upset whenever, the price was argued. This shop billed for hours that they weren t even there and nowhere to be found. I almost lost my job due to this company taking advantage of everyone that comes through the gate. Take my word for it and go elsewhere or be prepared to empty your wallet, and then some for a halfway repair. What a joke! This shop needs to be permanently closed and reported.

Take my word for it. Do not use this place for anything. My truck broke down and I had it towed to this shop. I called the owner everyday asking for an estimate as to how much it would cost me to get my truck repaired. I just wanted a simple estimate. I wasn't asking him to tear my complete engine apart. This shop disassembled my complete engine to supposedly diagnose the problem and then the owner calls with a ridiculous amount of over $4000 just for assessing my engine problems. Again I say this shop is a total rip off. So please chose your options carefully when considering Downsouth Fleet to do any work on your vehicle.Service: Local hauling

Bad service super rude Eddie the owner does the job thinking that a company it s going to pay for repairs, took my truck there to replace a module cause I lost the throttle and 3 weeks later came to find out that he replaced the computer, wire harness, temp sensors, fixed oil leaks, replaced oil pan gasket and complete oil change air filters and everything with out giving a quote or estimate and when I went pick it up he waited till 6 o clock before closing to show me the bill of 13500 dllrs with a gun on his belt a 6.2 ft 280 lbs guy and still thinking the company was paying told him that it was me that was paying for it he wouldn t released the truck or trailer till I wired him the money. I don t recommend this place at all.Service: Battery service

Found myself needing some truck repair well here in Baton Rouge, ran across these folks and headed on over, very friendly and did a great job on the work, it feels like a new truck. As much as I like them, I hope I don t break down again but if I do this will be the place that I come.

Eddie from Down South Fleet was amazing. He assisted me with my semi truck when I stuck on the side of the road. He was able to fix my air bag quickly and efficiently. All follow drivers,stay away for this Down south Fleet , it s not business its like Jail, the owner Hostage my driver 16 days, 8/31/2023 and release 9/15,broke down I 10 and 12 interstate, my driver call dispatch down fleet they send two mechanic after couple, they open our tensional and belt neven come back, I call down fleet and he say call tow truck and bring, I did after that no parts available, 15 days hostage and loading trailer no cares who you are , their price triple, he charged $6000 one belt tensioner, so I am warning all truck drivers please please stay away you losing all your time and your money

I wouldn t recommend any one to come this place to fix a truck they are much expensive than the dealerships and less quality than any shop that would be in serviceI went to them to do a force region on my truck then the owner Eddie told me it s needed to replace some parts( def pump) and something else waited 2 days they pretended they fixed and charged me 12 hours; he was thinking how much hours to charge me on the papers bill when he was writing then charged me 12 hours plus some additional fees and I m pretty sure it didn t take more than 4 hours even if I be more positive coz I was with them when they working on my truck plus the delivery fee was not included he charged me separatelyHe took too much money on his labour then 1 day later the problem came back that s why I said above less qualityI don t wanna go back to him b/c I know he will charge more than that with no work and he, Eddie the owner is rude you can t ask him one simple question and not gonna tell you a little update of your truck..Finally the lady who dispatches the calls is polite and respectful but she can t help you much coz she is neither a mechanic nor the shop responsible but I have positive experiences for her sideIf you ever break down near Baton Rouge, LA don t waste your time and money try another shop; don t be foolish like me read the reviews and find some where else that aleast better than this place.

Owner was rude telling me what he paid for a gate. I only asked him about the cost of a tire and that no one was telling me anything. He asked was I in a rush and if so leave. So with that being said black man to black man I left you didn t need my service. Sad

The absolute worst of the worst. Eddie is a joke. They going to charge for any and everything. They get mad at you when you don t agree to they priced which are insane. I see why they reviews so bad.
