Tim Matthews is one of the most knowledgable and honest mechanics I know. He can fix almost anything!! He and his crew (who are also very professional and extremely knowledgable experts) have kept my business fleet (domestic vans and pickups) going with timely service, and they have continued to keep my personal german cars in top shape. Fair, honest, and dependable. Foreign and domestic, TOP NOTCH and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Called at 10am and had my vehicle back the same day for a bad oxygen sensor replacement and tire rotation. Had several other shops tell me they were backed up and could not diagnose for weeks! Tim was very communicative and the team is extremely friendly and efficient. Will definitely return for any maintenance needs outside of my scope.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great customer service! Mr. Tim and his staff is very thorough, they made sure my car was properly fixed & checked for all possible solutions to fixing my vehicle. They also have very affordable prices! I m a college student on a budget & Mr. Tim made sure my car stayed reliable without breaking the bank.

2017: Not sure what's going on in that shop. I know nothing about cars, so I went to find out about a noise my car was making. I was quoted $600 to replace my front and rear rotors and brake pads. I thought this price was steep, so I decided to call around. I called several shops, who were surprised that I needed both my front and rear rotors changed. One man told me he'd been in the industry for 21 years, and had very rarely seen such a case. Another said it was more likely that I only needed the front ones replaced. With that, I decided to get a second opinion. When I did, I was told I didn't need my rear or front rotors replaced - just new brake pads. I don't know if this was blatant dishonesty, mistake, or if reasonable minds can vary on rotor replacement. Whatever the case, I will not be back, and certainly wouldn't recommend it.UPDATE 9/9/18: The shop, in their reply, requested I reconsider my review. Its been over a year, and I never got the rotors replaced - the car is still working just fine.Because I didn't need new rotors, and they told me I was in desperate need of them, I conclude they were blatantly dishonest and they were trying to scam me.UPDATE 7/30/2019: It's been 2 years since this shop told me I needed new rotors. I still haven't gotten any and my car is runs GREAT... I might keep updating this every year until I actually need new rotors. This shop is a disgrace!!!UPDATE 8/21/2020: It s been 3 years since this shop told me I was in desperate need of $600 rotors. I still haven t got any and my car runs great.UPDATE: 4/26/2022: It s been 5 years since a mechanic at this shop told me I was in desperate need of $600 rotors. I still haven t got any. The rotors are still fine.

My son went to go get his timing belt replaced last week and 1 week later it snaps. What kind of shady service does this owner offer?!?! I'm beyond livid... not only that, but my kid said he felt like he was being hustled for the amount some guy named Tim was charging him for, didn't even want to show my son the work order form and how much each thing cost when he asked.Highly recommend going elsewhere where the mechanics will give you the time of day.

After a freak accident on the road that left our radiator, condenser and more damaged. Tim was extremely accommodating very late at night and was able to get us on the road the very next day. He is very honest, polite and fair. He even went above and beyond and put in windshield fluid etc for us. My old truck had a crank no start problem and I suspected it was a spark issue. I have a rather complex vehicle with an engine swap that most shops around Baton Rouge said they wouldn t even work on. Carmergency diagnosed it as a bad opti-spark distributor and did a great job on the replacement of it. I typically like to work on my cars myself but the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and fair on their price for the work they performed. Only complaint I had was the car was accelerating a little funny after I picked it up and it turns out two of the spark plug wires going to the distributor were out of position for the firing order, super common mistake and it only took a few minutes to swap them back. Other than that little hick up they did a great job and the truck runs awesome now. Would highly recommend this shop, thanks for getting me back on the road Carmergency!Service: Electrical

I have used this shop for several years now and have been treated as a good friend as well as a customer. The technicians answer all my questions so that I understand what needs to be done and how much it will cost before any work is done. All work has been done well and in a timely manner. I have even purchased used cars that were never picked up by the previous owner. I would recommend this shop to anyone whether they have a newer car or an old one that needs obsolete parts.

This is the very best car repair shop in the area! Tim and his guys are knowledgeable, competent, and honest. I am now a loyal customer.I own a Jeep and moved here from another state. After terrible experiences at all the local Jeep dealerships, it was a breath of fresh air to take my Jeep to Carmergency.

I brought my 2005 Ford Freestyle in for maintenance. Tim fixed the car up into better shape than I expected. He called me 1/2 way through telling me that I DIDN'T need to replace the power steering pump, but just a part on it. After the repairs were done, he showed me all the old parts and explained to me what was broken and why they needed to be replaced. Definitely a shop that "goes the extra mile". Any mechanic that will call to tell you that he can SAVE you money is a good one. Mechanics can be crooked in this day and age but, Tim felt like an old family friend who treated me with respect and gave me a fair price. In the future, I will be using Carmergency for any issues I have.

These guys are great! I was driving through Baton Rouge when my Infiniti suddenly started making a weird noise. A quick Google search brought me to Carmergency. I explained to the owner Tim that I was from out of town and needed to get home by 2pm for another meeting so I left my car with him, authorized all diagnostics/repairs, and took an Uber to my destination. By the time I was finished with my meeting, they were able to figure out the problem (a cap was accidentally left open by my trusted local mechanic), fixed it, and sent me on my way. Wonderful customer service - I wish we had a Carmergency in New Orleans! Thanks Tim!

No words will ever describe how outstanding this car shop is.First off, I would like to say that I drove about 700 miles, all the way from Lakeland, FL into Baton Rouge. My car decided to not start anymore (upon a/c failure hours ago) in the middle of LSU Campus.This happened during a Sunday night. You can imagine how distressing this situation is, even when you keep your calm... especially because you wonder if you will be able to drive back to Florida in a week. When Tim answered the phone, I felt at ease immediately. He treated me with such respect, warmth, compassion, honesty and also made me laugh! What an honorable man. It is challenging to be able to diagnose a problem over the phone, but he still stayed with me for well over an hour to make sure I made a good decision, and stayed calm. I felt from the start that I was in excellent hands and that I have definitely been led to the right place. I can tell you, Tim is burning with passion for what he does (and his team's) that means going the extra mile, assisting to solve mechanical problems and putting pieces of the puzzle together. I decided to keep the car on campus, wait until the next day, and make them tow them to the shop (yes, they also provide that service for you) That was day one.The tow driver comes at 8 am, having being scheduled for exactly that time. Such punctuality blew my mind away!Next day, Tim calls me immediately and informs what happened. Once again, he let me know about all of the possible options, including ones that would help me save money. Just like other reviewers have said (and I agree 100%) very few people nowadays think about a client's convenience and suggests ways to save!Also, in my receipt, Tim itemized what was done, one part at a time.Tim explains what the problem is in a level that you can understand, yet detailed enough. Everything makes sense after he puts it all together.Overall, I have nothing but total praise. Tim and his team at Carmergency have been an absolute blessing and life saving. He put me on the road very quickly so I could go to rehearsals and performances in town (I am a musician).If you need a reliable, honest, affordable, and place to take your car, do not hesitate to bring it here to Carmergency! The location in N Sherwood Forest could be a little out of the way for some, but trust me, you will not regret that you brought it here. My car quit taking gas. I would pump a gallon and it would shoot back a few ounces at me. Made pumping gas take 10 minutes. Lived with it for 3 years. Then I brought it to Carmergency because I started working Doordash. Covid has got my life all messed up. But as hectic as life is. I can now pump a full tank of gas full throttle. They fixed my fueling system and I couldn't have been happier with the results.

This is a really good and reliable place to get your car done . I have a BMW X5 and the BMW place here in Baton Rouge tried to rip me off .Mr . Tim and his staff made sure I got back my car up and running . I will definitely be back and refer friends

i couldn't believe i took my truck here out of all places. came here due to the reviews. my truck is rusted underneath but not were is was falling apart. brake line came open on a me. came here to get my line replace. after the first line replacement, another was supposedly leaking . got to the point were they just replaced them all coming off the abs actuator. under standing they couldn't bleed my brakes on some points due to rust on a couple of my bleeders. the second guy had no idea what he was doing. saying i had a hoses leaking where it was cut on the secondary rubber and it was dry? on top of that the right rear bleeder was left loose leaking my brake fluid causing me to lose my brake pedal even more. stopped at another shop and found my abs leaking due to all the the nuts on the line crossed threaded. had to buy a new abs. the other shop got me all new bleeders without having to replaced calipers like they said. i would say they are good parts replacers but not even that.

They wrecked my car over charged me and said there's nothing they can do they offered to pay half and I pay half that's bad business and very unprofessional cause I didn't damage it I trusted them enough to fix it and take care of my vehicle and they didn't even do that. The car was in there possession for over a week they are "get overs" I will never spend another dollar with them and you shouldn't either. I get upset just passing by the venue save yourself the time money and trouble.

They told me my car would take a few hours to repair. No biggie, but the fact that no one called me before they decided to do extra work on the car that I did not authorize them to do, then charge me for is a BIG NO in how you should conduct business!!
