My parents have used Agco for years so a couple of years ago I started using them. Called today to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The woman answering the phones was so incredibly rude, she kept cutting me off and talking over me when I was trying to explain what I needed. I ll take me business elsewhere.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Didn't have any work done on our vehicles today. Hands down a go to place to get your cars or trucks fixed.

I would be surprised if there is another company in the country whose quality of service, technical abilities, experience, and honesty exceeds that of AGCO's. The Baton Rouge area is very lucky to have a shop like this. I'm always very impressed by their knowledge. When I was younger, being a typical engineer, I would do all of my own maintenance and repairs because I did not trust other shops or the dealer to do it. That all changed years ago when I brought my wife's 2003 Honda Pilot in for a diagnosis for a repair that I thought would cost me thousands. The first shop (which was a very good shop) charged me hundreds of dollars in diagnostic fees and came up with nothing. Louis knew what the issue was immediately, and $45 later my wife's car was fixed. I've been a loyal customer ever since. AGCO does all of the maintenance and repairs on all of my vehicles, and has done so now for years.

I ve been listening to the podcast for 10 years. Very sad to hear it s ending, but I ll still be able to listen over and over again to the most entertaining Automotive program on the air. I looked forward to the new show every week more than any other podcast, always informative and honest. I wish Louis had a shop in New York, best of luck on slowing down and enjoying your semi retirement. Know that you will be missed by thousands of listeners.

Best and most honest team of highly skilled technicians you can find in town. I have been a customer since 1983 and highly recommend Agco to everyone. They can do anything a dealership shop can do and do it better and cheaper! A family owned local business that stands behind all their work everyday.

(Update 3/4/2021)Still call on them for all of my automotive needs. Thumbs up!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Professional"They tell it like it is, no up-sales just facts.I had an older car looked at for a general inspection and oil change. I was pleased with their recommendations and lack of pressure. They charge the standard rate for mechanics plus parts.I will be a repeat customer.(Edit - 11/19/19)I've been using these folks for a while for mostly oil changes. I had an issue with one of my vehicles and they handled it in a professional manner. I will continue to go here as long as they continue to be this trusting.(Edit - 09/14/2020)Still excellent, I'm still going and they still have my business.

I have been using AGCO for over 18 years and I've never had to take a car back for the same problem, it's always fixed right the first time. They are the most honest and by far the best in auto industry, all the techs are masters of their craft and do a excellent job. The peace of mind knowing your vehicle is fixed right and not having the hassle of returning to address the same problem over and over ..... Priceless!

The best shop I have ever dealt with. I had some issues with an older truck. Agco suggested a complete inspection to determine if I should spend the money on the truck. I feel they were honest and did a quality job. Place is clean and organized. Love their automotive hour radio show every Saturday morning also, never miss it..

Down south friendly staff! Spoke to Elizabeth about a pre-purchase inspection. She took time to express although they are booked up at the time, they offer a list of what an owner can do to look for before commitment.

I took my car there upon recommendation from a co-worker. Had an alignment, and they pointed out some other issues with my car that affected the work that they did. I appreciated the honesty and they didn't try to sell me on work that I didn't ask for. Very good experience. It is not cheap, but it wasn't any more expensive than Meineke, but the work was top notch instead of the crap that I got from Meineke in Hammond. Its a long drive, but I'll take my car there again for anything that I want done correctly. Even if it is a drive to get there, I'm grateful to know of a good shop.

I came in with the AC broken and needing relief. Was recommended to AGCO by two different people.Once I let them look at my car, Mr Louis explained in terms I could understand not just why my AC was out, he also found another problem that would fail soon.Repair done next day and air is so cold now I gotta turn it down. Highly recommend to anyone.

My brothers take their vehicles here and highly recommended it stating they "Fix" it - they don't "repair" it. My 2006 Honda Odyssey with 320K miles was lurching and not running properly with engine lights coming on. The charged me $50 to diagnose it! Every other place I've ever been to charges me at least $100 for diagnosis. They gave me quote to fix the issue but were honest enough to tell me that even if I did the work ($2500) they could not guarantee that the car would run right because so many codes were coming up on the diagnostic. I decided to salvage the vehicle due to age but I appreciated their honesty!! Very nice people.

I m from Northeast Pennsylvania, so this review is for AGCO s Automotive Hour podcast on Apple iTunes. I have learned so much about how to properly repair and maintain my vehicles while listening to Louis, Brian and Josh. Louis advice also helped save me a few thousand dollars on a GM warranty claim when my Silverado needed a new Transmission. Thanks Louis!! Get honest straightforward advice from expert technicians on The Automotive Hour podcast. 10 STARS

Dealership said I needed a complete brake job. These folks said my brakes were fine for at least a year. Also performed other needed maintenance at a reasonable price. These folks are better than good.

When I was too young drive, my dad would take the cars to AGCO and I would always go with him. I wondered why he was so adamant about using this one place. Later when I graduated I began using their service as well. It s been twenty years (wow, has it been that long) and Louis and Elaine are still taking care of my car and truck. I have referred dozens of friends and they too are now AGCO fans. They are not the cheapest place around and it may take a few days to get an appointment, but if you want good, honest service, no BS and your problem fixed, this is the only place to go.

Best auto repair show since "Click and Clack". I listen to the podcast. Thanks for suggesting this way to review; I use an Android device, and the only way to review on iTunes is with a PC or laptop, which I rarely use anymore. Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

Awesome place. They know their stuff. Mechanic there saved my h2 engine. Nice waiting room. Very helpful. They might cost more a tiny bit but that is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. Go there

AGCO is a strangely good auto repair shop. This is the place to go. They will get the vehicle fixed the right way. People talk about costs. You must look at the cost in the run. If you hope to keep your vehicle running for years to come, go to AGCO.

I got to know AGCO owner Louis Altazan through a manager's discussion group. His ideas about how to achieve lowest cost of automobile operation, and his adherents to Deming's principles of quality assurance are unusual and impressive in the auto repair trade. In my opinion, his beliefs and principles make AGCO a standout auto repair facility

Louis Altazan should be listed as a reference standard for excellence and integrity in the Bureau of Weights and Measures because all others should be judged against him.As someone who is devoted to learning automotive diagnosis as a hobby--and someone who watches hours of automotive YouTube channels created by shop owners and talented automotive technicians, I can truly say I feel at home with Mr. Altazan and Mr. Terry. Their insights and recommendations are in-line with those I've heard from others in this industry. Their experiences and wisdom shape the information in a way which -- as many have pointed out here -- speaks to people at their level and doesn't embarrass the nervous questioner.I have also had the privilege of writing to Mr. Altazan on a specific question on his Web site -- and his response was nearly immediate and was very thorough. I think if I had to use one word to describe Mr. Altazan in reference to this show and his amazing Web site -- and Q&A option on said Web site -- it would be "generous." His mastery of the subject matter is clear. His social skills and almost "therapist-like" ability to put people at ease so that they can give him the information he needs to help them is quite impressive.I think 20 episodes of this program should be required in all 50 states to new drivers as part of driver's education programs. I think a similar metric should be offered by insurance companies - similar to how discounts are offered for defensive driving. The concepts learned in this podcast will make your vehicle last longer --all else being equal. My highest recommendation.

Brought my truck in to get the rear main seal and oil pan gasket replaced. A day and a half later, my truck was back in my hands and running great. Nice staff and a clean facility.

My car was wrecked and when I picked it up it was pulling to the right. I took it back three times but it still pulled to the right. My insurance company told me to go to AGCO. They did some kind of straightning on the frame and now it drive like new. VERY HAPPY !!

I called to get my broke down car fixed as im not from the area and was traveling through. They advised me they were booked solid would do what ever they could to help me. I did not have an appointment and so I left it with them to fix for me. They fixed it as soon as they had someone free and I'm back on the rd. Defiantly a place to go for repairs.

They are committed to customer service. I am not from the area but I listen to the shop's podcast weekly. I've e-mailed questions to the owner, Louis, a few times and he always gives prompt and complete answers.
