Melvin and the technicians at Cockrell s did an excellent job after it was hit in the right front fender after owning it for less than 3 weeks. They made it new again. Melvin kept me informed of the progress throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!Very unprofessional. Customer service skills are non existent. Once the estimate was complete, and I notified I chose them as the shop to repair the damage, parts were ordered. Approximately 3 weeks passed, and I called for an update. Spoke with Melvin, as always. He asked me, the customer, if the parts had been ordered. I m not sure how the customer should know that. About a week the the parts came in and repairs began. The ship sends you email updates, however, they re not useful when the final email stating the vehicle is ready to be picked up, yet Melvin told me it would be 3 more days. I picked up the car close to closing, and there was no walk around with staff. I got home to inspect it, and the rear door was re-attached unevenly, the rear taillight had condensation in it that never goes away, the light bulb in that taillight was physically broken and unusable, the interior handle of the door which is used to pull the hatch down was installed upside down rendering it unusable, and there was a missing Mazda logo on the tailgate which left two open holes. When I called the next day to discuss these issues, Melvin argued with me stating they never touched the interior handle. That information could not be further from the truth, as I used this tailgate handle daily, and it was easy to discern that it was now incorrect. Melvin offered nothing but argument, and I had to hang up on him. I called back to speak with Nate, who said he d look into the issues, and call me back. I never heard back from Nate. A third call to Melvin resulted in him ordering the missing logo for the tailgate, and having it mailed to my house to install myself. The other issues were not dealt with, and I received a citation for the broken taillight. AVOID THIS UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

If you like dealing with people who are rude with horrible customer service, then this is your place! The owner Karen had attitude for no reason at all. I will not use them again nor will I refer anybody to them!

Cockrell's repaired some damage to my front bumper. They were responsive and communicative, completed the repairs in a timely manner, and were lovely to work with. Very happy with my service and highly recommend.

My 2007 Honda CR-V was, unfortunately, side-swiped. There was extensive damage to the right side of the body of the car and I was unable to open my passenger door. I am very grateful and thankful for the high-quality job that was performed on my vehicle. The staff was very helpful and reassuring about my stressful situation. The best part about their quality service is their dedication to timeliness. They informed me me vehicle was repaired and ready to go in about half the estimated time they initially gave me! I want to say thank you to Nate for being amazing! Cockrell's has honest pricing and did great quality work on my car. Dropped my car off on Monday morning and was able to pick it back up Thursday afternoon. Nate called me during the process to keep me updated on my car. I would highly recommend them to anyone and hopefully don t have to be a returning customer but if so I would use them in a heartbeat. Thank you again!

I "picked" this body shop,based on the reviews... Big Mistake! My vehicle is a 2018 Nissan Altima SV. I had a minor impact on the Passengers side,where someone had lost a load of brush (branches of various sizes) on Highway 60, which I take from Winchester to Lexington every work day,starting out before 5am (usually dark,with light traffic)On this occasion, I had a tractor trailer "pushing" me, I couldn't slam on the brakes to avoid it,Nor swerve because of the vehicles on the opposite lane. The foliage rubbed the paint on the bumper, fender,hood headlight and shattered the fog light on the right side.My insurance company had "Preferred shops"; but, Unfortunately for me,the waiting list was backed up by a couple months. So, as many do I looked online for a well reviewed, highly rated alternative. Cockrells Collision Repair "seemed" to fit my criteria at first glance,so I contacted them was greeted with the good news they could take my pics,estimate and schedule me for a couple weeks later...I gave them As much information as possible so that with Supply Chain shortages,they'd have More than enough time to order Any/All replacement parts possible. There are Amazing Artists that make car repair videos that make fixing vehicles in modern erra look easy,only because they are Professionals...Working with minor damage, it should have been easy to put the car back to how it look Pre Accident. After choosing Not to Repair existing parts that could have been,they opted to take the insurance estimate advice a "Replace" everything it would pay for.I was expecting the vehicle to look fresh off the line,at the dealership New, not just "fixed" for the Over $3K the charged. The overall look to me seemed that they Did Not replace Anything, except what was Necessary (shattered fog light,plastic fender weld cover,engine splash shield etc.)The "over spray" paint to cover the rubs and scratches that were due to the impact brush was not well done,and left pitting on the hood,because it wasn't expressly due to the collision , but from gravel dings. Taking Pride in Paint & Body work should have led them to fill it it better,but the fact they wanted Maximum Profit by doing the job as cheaply as possible with low grade results seem the business model on this occasion. Even though the Representative called me Pleased with the results, almost bragging what an Excellent job had been done for my vehicle. Once on location, I was disappointed to see the lack of Quality Repair, and was given the Excuse because it had prior front end damage and bad repairs made,"They did the best they could with what they had to work with" because of this,the car looks half way fixed,and doesn't seem to bother them that everyone that sees Their Work is told to avoid going to them,because This is what you'll end up getting... I filed a Complaint with both my insurance company and the Office in Frankfort stating the botched job I received, with the let down of being told because I "Picked", I had no recourse to have it corrected. Go find a better shop next time was the advice given. So,they get over $3K for a $1,500.00 at best Shade tree hack job. I'm left with a car worth less,looking less than,because of reviews I wonder that are on here,if they are Real or not.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Cockrell s was AMAZING. They handled everything for me! Dropped off my car the day I got hit, they had a rental for me, talked to insurance and even deep cleaned the inside of my car! Staff were all nice and helpful, huge thank you to Nate especially for keeping me updated and making the experience so smooth. HIGHLY recommend Cockrell s!

I hit a deer in my brand 2022 Highlander that had I only 4 days. All the other body shops were back up for weeks. Called Cockrell's and they got me in the same day. Did a excellent job fixing my Highlander in a timely manner. Looks brand new still. Very friendly and great communication on the status of your vehicle. They recently repaired my car following a rear end accident. They did an excellent job. They are very courteous and professional. There was delay on the adjuster's part with the insurance company, however, the staff at Cockrell's communicated well to keep me informed. I have dealt with them multiple times now, and it has always been a positive experience. I would definitely recommend them.

This is by far the best body shop in Lexington. Nate and his team really do go the extra mile and do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience possible. They even go above and beyond to make sure that your car is as good as new when it comes off of their lot. They are on-time, professional, and detailed. Beyond excellent work. I m extremely particular about cars and the quality of the work that s completed. Nate will always exceed my expectations, every single time. I ve had Cockrell s paint match a silver car on three separate occasions and I was unable to spot any color variations. If you ve ever owned a silver car, you understand how much of a challenge it can be to find someone who can achieve this level of work. You won t find another shop with this level of passion for what they do.

Went there to get a quote for a simple bumper respray and never made it past the quote. The price for the job was a total ripoff. I own a show car and built it from the ground up so I know that a quality paint job is costly but 1000 dollars to respray a vw beetle bumper is insane. They said that if it needed wet sanding and a polish he would do it without charging like he was doing me a favor. Wet sanding and polishing is needed when you paint something to start with. So that's the first lie. I asked if I could bring in just the bumper to save me some labor cost and was told no because they don't have any room or the time and flat out do not take individual parts. They said it would take 2 weeks to get it done (which is too long for something that simple as it is). So they would rather have an entire car sit there in the shop for 2 weeks and take up a bunch of space and time for labor instead of just painting the bumper and giving it back to me. When I left a guy brought in a Porsche rear lid for paint and they took it and said they would do it no problem. So they lied to me about not taking individual parts. In short they saw that I was young and thought they could take advantage of me and rip me off and BS'd me from the start. An honest company should not do this and I will never consider them to do anything again.

I've never had a worse experience with a business. My insurance sent me to this place, and while the bodywork was completed, they left my car with a noise they refuse to address as their fault and charged me another $377 after taking it to a mechanic to look at the problem. They also didn't have a mechanic inspect any non- cosmetic damage to the car. It still isn't fixed after my insurance has paid them thousands and I have paid $1677 out of pocket, which is a lot for a preschool teacher.

Nate is a great guy, honest, and really goes above and beyond to make things as easy/stress free as possible for the customer including working with the insurance companies and securing a rental if needed.
