I can t recommend Central Equipment enough. I reached out to them needing a new recoil for my push lawnmower. They reached out the next day via text giving me instructions for drop off. They had it back to me within a few days. Once I got the mower home, I was unable to get it started. Central Equipment asked me to bring it back in, and they found that I had put bad gas in the mower - 100% my fault. Central Equipment drained the tank for me and even offered to dispose of the rest of the bad gas. Super friendly and efficient. Incredible customer service. I will be using them again when needed!

This is my third ex mark zero turn I bought my first one in 2006 sold it I bought my next one in 2008. I have used it for 15 years sold it and boat my brand new one I am extremely pleased with this one above all, the others I have owned David my sales person was superior to anybody I have ever dealt with and I will definitely be back and highly recommend. Anybody else that needs any kind of equipment go to Central Equipment.

Best mower dealership to deal with on sales, parts, and service. When you call parts you always get someone who knows what they re talking about or they will find someone who does. They seem to always have what I need in stock from basic service parts down to uncommon engine parts. I ve had one experience where they didn t have a part but they ordered it and shipped it to my house and I had it the next day. Every department has polite and knowledgeable employees who want to meet your parts and equipment needs. I live 50 miles from this dealership but I always use them because I can always get what I need and I don t have to call 20 places to find a part or get an answer.

Best equipment company in central KY hands down. Their prices are determined largely by the manufacturers at most all dealers. They have an excellent inventory and top quality brands/products. What separates them is they are straight forward and have outstanding customer service. This was my third zero turn purchased from them. Highly recommend.

Central Equipment has been a wonderful business to partner with since I was first a customer in 1998. I have bought mowers and other landscape equipment over the years to take care of my small farm as well as having that equipment serviced by them. From sales to parts to service there are knowledgeable people to take care of your needs. I have found everyone to be friendly, helpful, honest and fair.

Great experience. Hunter went above and beyond. Bought Exmark ZTR mower, then Kubota tractor. Very happy with both.

(Please see bottom for updated, improved review)Have you ever felt like you were getting swindled? We were having trouble with our Kubota tractor overheating. I called to see if they could come pick it up and service it, and I was told they weren't too busy and could service it quickly. They picked it up the next day. After calling multiple times and speaking to various people in the service department who could never give me a straight answer, we got it back three weeks later (so much for getting to it quickly). The reported problem was the radiator had debris in it. Cleaning that out, doing a basic service, and pick/delivery cost us $1,700+.We mowed our property (about 8 acres of pasture) and a portion of our neighbors' place (maybe 2 acres) which might've totaled 5-6 hours of run time, and the tractor again overheated and wouldn't run well. I called the service department again, and they sent someone out straightaway. He was at our place for all of 5 minutes, only looked under the hood, didn't even bother to crank the thing, and said the issue is a cracked head (something that cannot be visualized from the outside, so he must have X-ray vision), which happens to be about the most expensive repair problem one could dream up and also happens to be most often caused by overheating. So, I sent the tractor in for overheating. They charged me a pretty penny to "fix" the overheating problem. We ran the tractor for 5-6 hours, it overheated again, and now has what amounts to a catastrophic negative result from the overheating issue that they said they had fixed the first time around. It did not seem to register with the service manager that I might be a bit suspicious of the whole situation or that I would have a hard time trusting their abilities or integrity. I'm supposed to just give them more money to come get it, inspect it, etc, etc and trust that they are really here to help me. So far, doing that has left me with $1,700+ fewer dollars, three weeks of no tractor, and now, if the mechanic with X-ray vision is correct, what amounts to a new block and rebuilt engine at a really expensive price. That seems to me like I'm not the one being helped out, but their bottom line sure is.7/18/2023I spoke with the service manager, Mason Tackett, at Central Equipment about the issues with the tractor and my perspective. It was a heated, but professional, exchange. They came back out, picked up the tractor, and Mason evaluated it himself. He called me personally to go through the issues he found. There were a number of things that would've totaled a significant amount of money, but the folks there at Central Equipment tried their best to make it right, deducting a significant amount from the price of parts and labor. In the end, I think it was as fair a process as it could've been. Mason personally delivered our tractor yesterday, and it seems to be in good working order. We have not used it to mow, yet, but intend to do so ASAP. I have updated this review from a one-star to a three-star. I am quite pleased with how everything has gone since they came back and picked up the tractor--I would say that has been a five-star experience. However, given the first half of the whole thing was so negative, I can only average the two and round up to a three-star.

Central Equipment is class A business that uses balance, care, and compassion when it comes to their customers. The quality of long term employees is impressive. I am a 2nd generation business owner, who has been dealing with Central for over 30 years and have great relationships with many of their amazing staff members. There is not a better business to be your partner in the lawn and agriculture industry. This business is well ran from the bottom all the way to the top. Congratulations Central Equipment for always making customers feel appreciated and maintaining long term relationships.Job well done!

I worked with Ron Nash to pick out the right mower for the amount of land and terrain I have. Ron was great to work with. Took his time to explain things, had plenty of knowledge and understanding, all helped make a good decision. Then Kevin delivered the mower days earlier because the regular delivery guy was booked out. I d highly recommend visiting these guys if you need any equipment.

I m not sure what happened with this place. I left my chainsaw on a Saturday knowing that it will take sometime to get to it. In my mind to 5 full business days sharpen a chain and put a new oil cap (if it was available) was sufficient time. When I called the evening on the 4th day a rude person answered the phone. I brushed it off as he must of had a bad day. Called back the next day and got similar treatment. All in all will never buy or service anything here in the future. Hope other have a better experience.

I have a Honda garden tiller that had a broken throttle control lever on the handle bar. I was also concerned that the throttle cable may need replacing. I called the parts department and a nice lady told me the parts were in stock and the price. I then asked her to speak to service to see if they could do the install for me. The service manager checked with the technician who would be doing the work and told me to come on in. I live 50 miles away and was very impressed that the technician waited on taking his lunch until after I got there and he repaired my tiller, while I waited. Superb service all way around. Reasonable charge. Tiller throttle works great. Very pleased!

I got lightning fast service and purchased 2 new Honda self-propelled lawn mowers and gas cans. Filled with fuel and oil and ready to go. Easy as can be. Thanks! Plenty of free parking in the lot around the store. If you buy a big mower they can deliver it to you.

I can't say enough amazing things about Central Equipment. Jason Huber and his staff are incredible to work with and go above and beyond for their customers. I have both bought and had my John Deere serviced there and will continue to do so. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a local business to support.

Bought a new Kubota tractor from Central Equipment last week. Show room was very large with an impressive inventory, a very clean environment with a very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I worked with Barry sharp on purchasing and financing a new tractor, he helped us find the best deal possible. Now just waiting for phone call and hopefully my new tractor will be delivered soon! Highly recommend Central Equipment!

Last year I purchased a Ferris ISX3300 from Bil Bratcher. Bil gave me great service and a good price so I came back to him this year for an Ag tractor and implements. I ordered a deluxe tractor with a lot of options and implements. Bil worked with Kubota and aftermarket suppliers to put together a complicated package that satisfied all of my expectations. Everything was setup correctly and works perfect. He even delivered on time in a difficult market. Farm equipment is a large investment so it is important to have an honest dealer that cares about their customers. I couldn't be happier with the outstanding service that Central Equipment has provided and will certainly be contacting Bil for future purchases.

Our buying experience was outstanding, but our own mower has been in the their for 10 days and counting for a simple oil change and blades, when you drop something off if you know you re booked 2 weeks out you definitely should inform the customer. Ridiculous

I took my Honda lawnmower in for service, needing a new starter cord. In less than 24 hours, the team at Central Equipment had it back to me with a new cord, an oil change, a new spark plug, and the blades sharpened for about $75. They cleaned out the mower deck and even gave it a bath to make it look brand new. Everyone was very helpful and went above and beyond to take care of me. Top shelf outfit. I am a Central Equipment customer for life.

I inquired about a mower at four dealerships and got one response. Rick at Central Equipment. He called back in an appropriate amount of time, and as usual was very kind. Asked about my dad and chewed the fat a little then basically secured the item I was looking for within minutes. I was in a hurry and didn t haggle but he still presented me with a price I thought was more than fair. In a couple of hours I was done. My family has purchased several items from him and I consider Rick my go to guy . He ll be my first choice next time as well.

Hunter Hilbert was my salesman and was a pleasure do deal with. I bought a new Kubota tractor however that has been less than desirable as with 10 hours on it has been in for repair twice with defective parts, one of them a rear engine seal and bearing cover case.

We have made several equipment purchases with the folks at Central Equipment and speaking from a lawn care professionals standpoint they have been the smoothest transactions we have ever experienced. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable not only with the products he was selling us but also let us know how they have held up for other customers he has sold them to and the problems the shop has seen from them, all of this while putting us under no pressure to purchase. The atmosphere is very friendly and everyone is focused on giving you the best experience possible. The parts department knows their parts and as long as you bring the information needed about your equipment the experience is smooth and quick.

Charges 97$ for a part thats available anywhere online for 16$ and as little as 11$. Local places elsewhere charge 40$ . Same part.. would stay away for parts nowadays.. not worth the 500% markup-edit-Part was pn: 41-403-10-S (voltage regulator for 8-25hp kohler motors/ craftsman riding mower). I still cant find any other place that sells that part for more than 60$ (and that 60$ is on craftsman/sears parts direct which is straight from the manufacturer/ factory/ oem parts dealer). Shipping included. Even automotive big box stores are selling them for under 30$. I went with the cheap amazon 11$ one and has been working great since. Maybe i got lucky and got an actual well made cheap chinese part but it works.. yes the market is rough right now, yes oem parts ordered from the dealer are very highly priced. But maybe it would do a family owned local business some good to offer a selection of cheaper priced products with a disclaimer on their sales stating you are not liable for part failure or damage that may incur from the part, no warranty on parts, install at own risk. With a pricing difference from 11$ To my front door to 97$ in store, is worth the investment in my opinion if you had 5 in stock for this specific part.. I appreciate the dedication on your part to uphold your customer service oriented image and show an actual dedication towards the company as a whole. But would be an extremely lucrative investment opportunity which would blow out all other local parts dealers out of the water if you adopted an alternate parts selection and had all the legalities with resale ironed out.. even if just had the selection on certain parts.. if i were to take my mower into a shop, how many shops would replace the part with the 97$ part when theres an 11$ one available? Even if it failed itd take a few comebacks to equal the expense of the 97$ replacement.. but hey, some luxury owners want luxury items..

Over the last few years I have purchased several pieces of equipment, big and small, from Central Equipment. Even today I'm still overwhelmed by the above and beyond professionalism of the staff. They've kept me from making several expensive mistakes and take the time to help me pick the best tool for the job. I have made purchases with almost everyone on the sales team and its amazing how knowledgeable and versed each one of them are. I appreciate the communication I have with the service department, they keep my up to date on any repairs I'm having done, and after give me instruction on the best ways to avoid future problems with my equipment. All that being said the thing I appreaciate the most is being able to stop in like I did today and immediately be welcomed by the owner.

I was very pleased with the Service department at Central Equipment. They picked up our John Deere from our home and had it up and running in a week. It was even washed and cleaned up, I thought they had brought home a new tractor! It has been running great ever since. The staff was friendly and informative. I spoke with Jamie on the phone and she was very helpful.

I have dealt with Central Equipment for many years even though I moved to Cincinnati 30 years ago. My most recent experience is an example of why. I needed a rear drive wheel for my John Deere lawnmower, called on Thursday 5/28 around 2pm and they were on my doorstep Friday 5/29 by the same time ! I highly recommend and encourage anyone in need of the services they provide to do business with them, I know I will continue to do so !
