It was New Year s Day, and my alternator went out on I24. Had no idea what I would do with my whole family in the van driving to Florida. After asking God for help, I pulled into the local parts store and they recommended Chris. He had me back on the road in a couple hours! Couldn t be more thankful for him and his expert and knowledgeable service! So thankful!!!

While on weekend trip, accidentally locked keys in my car. The place where staying called Forda Repairs for assistance. Came rather quickly and had door unlocked in matter of minutes. Very polite, cordial, and professional.

I love Chris, he s knowledgeable but he takes forever to get a simple job done 9/10 times. Prices are reasonable and I used to take my cars to him all the time. Recently I saw I decrease in the quality of his service

The radiator broke while on I24. The truck was towed and radiator replaced really fast. Even more so because it was a Saturday. The people were very friendly while working. We were even offered drinks to keep us cool. I strongly recommend this company.

A couple of things for sure... Chris really knows his stuff, he's honest and his prices are more than fair. Chris has done a number of repairs on my car and my boat. I have seen other work he has done and, in many cases, he has done repairs that no other shops will touch. Hit a pothole on I -24 and blew tire on Rental car . The spare was a temp tire and we really needed to get home. Chris came out at 10 oclock at night and had a full sized spare tire that would fit to get us home . Chris mounted the tire and got us on the way at a fair price to boot. Chris is equipped to handle all your automotive needs and recommend him if you need service.Service: Tires

Chris was a lifesaver. The gears on my sail drive blew up and no one else in Grand Rivers was willing to tackle the problem. He rebuilt it like new and also installed an auxiliary outboard motor as an extra precaution. He was great to work with and did a lot of extra things as well, like getting me situated with heat for my boat. I highly recommend this business ! If it wasn t for Chris I would still be stuck in Grand Rivers Kentucky.

This was the only business available to me on a Saturday morning when my car broke down on the interstate. I was able to limp the car over to the shop and the mechanic looked at it right away. He knew exactly what was wrong (tensioner, pulley and belt replacement). He didn t have the parts on hand but he went out of his way to find them 30 miles away. The overall price was very reasonable at $250. I was on my way to Denver and the mechanic understood I had no where to go unless my car was fixed. If I were to break down, I m glad I did it near this shop. The mechanic was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.Service: Steering & suspension repair

We where on vacation, and starting smelling antifreeze, We where at a local stone shop and he recommended Chris, Thank God....He was absolutely so nice , got us right in, of course our radiator had a huge Crack in it, He went out of his way to show us, so we would know as travelers on vacation he was not taking advantage. He got us up and running the next day, just because no one close had our size radiator. Chris was very nice, very professional and before we left for home, we had made a new friend. Guess what....what should have been a $1000. Dollar job, Chris only charged us $300. We personally just want to give a huge thank you for your work on our 2015 grand jeep Cherokee. Thank you again. Our truck air compressor crapped out while we were on vacation and we found Chris was near us. Chris worked us into his schedule to fix it truck the same day and even loaned us Vehicle so it vacation was not interrupted.We compared his process against other places in the area and he was several hundred dollars cheaper.Great service, fabulous people, and fantastic prices!!Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

My family of 6 was traveling from Missouri back to Tennessee and we developed van trouble. We were directed toward this automotive repair shop. We have four children 6 and under. We stayed in his shop for nearly two hours. Chris and his staff were very kind and courteous to my children. They shared cookies with them and allowed them to play on their tablet. We ended up have to stay the night to wait in some parts. Chris secured us a hotel at a very nice discount and pool for the kiddos. He charged us a very fair and discounted price. We can not say enough great things about our experience and care from Chris and his staff. He was honest and fair. We highly recommend his service!

Chris took great care of us. It was a Saturday evening and he came out to the highway after our car puttered to a stop. He treated us fairly and is an all around stand-up guy. I would gladly recommend him to my family.

I broke down on a Saturday when getting a tow would have been near impossible. Chris didn t even think twice about coming to get me and helping me out. He s so friendly, and has some of the best stories and local recommendations. Definitely helps makes a frustrating situation a little better. He was able to fix my car and had good rates as well. If my car breaks down again, I hope Chris is around to help.

Very highly recommend!!!!!!!!!! Incredible! My husband is in the military and we broke down a few miles from this shop on our way out to California from Florida. We were able to get towed through our insurance company but when I called this shop, they even offered to have someone from their shop come and personally tow us. Great little family owned shop who genuinely care about cars, but most importantly, their customers. We don t often tell people that we re a military family but when they found that out they only charged us for everything at cost. Thank you!!!!

So, me and my family were on our way to the Nashville zoo and our car broke down. 2 and a half hours from home and we had no idea what to do. We were lucky to find this guy. He fixed our jeep in less than an hour. ON HIS BIRTHDAY. I am so very thankful for him and his family. I 100% recommend if u have any vehicle troubles go to his shop. It may not look like much but hospitality speaks for itself.

My partners truck blew a brake line while we were pre fishing for a tournament one day away. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and they were swamped with customers. The owner said that he would do his best to repair it that afternoon. But we still had a boat hooked to it and needed a ride back to our motel. The owner gave us his personal truck to use. Later that night he came to the motel and told us that it was going to take longer to repair and for us to continue to use his truck so that we could continue to fish. The next day it was repaired and at a very reasonable price. How many others would have taken on another vehicle when they were swamped already? How many would give you their vehicle so that you wouldn't be inconvenienced? Top notched people doing top notch work. Thank you!!!

We were heading home to Saskatchewan, Canada when our Class A RV had brake and engine problems. Chris drove an hour out to do a temporary brake leak fix. Next day, he found that our brakes and our exhaust manifold gasket were shot. Chris charged a reasonable price to get us back on the road home, and our engine has never sounded this good. Thanks Chris!

Tuesday, August 12, while on vacation, in the Kentucky Lake area, after an afternoon of antique shopping, I went to start my SUV, but, to my surprise, the shifter had locked up, and it would not start. I did a Google search to find a local mechanic. Called Chris, owner of Forda Repairs, Grand Rivers, Ky.. Within 20 minutes he was under the hood, diagnosing the problem. He managed to free up the shifter so the car would start. I drove back to his shop, and he started right in on finding out what caused the shifter to lock up.As it turned out, the shift selector shaft going into the transmission, had gotten corroded over the years, and seized to the trans housing bushing. The next day I got my suv back, in perfect running condition. Chris and his staff are really good people. I know I was fortunate I found him. He told me his business philosophy is " to make an honest living, not a killing". Thanks Chris! The blue Hyundai continues to run fine.

Chris worked HARD to get us up and moving. We broke down on a trip to see my aunt before she passed and he dropped everything to get us fixed up. In a 26 hour window, he worked TWENTY HOURS on my car. His prices were fair and he was so kind.

Our car overheated on a Sunday, giving us a hell of a scare. Nobody was open, and Triple A just said they'd tow us somewhere nearby but we'd have to wait til Monday for a repair or look over. This wasn't possible for us, as we were on a road trip and needed to make it to a hotel and were on a time crunch. We ended up stuck at his location after driving there with the last fumes of hope, looking at an hour wait for the tow and all the rest. Chris, the owner, literally happened to be driving by to grab something and told us to just pull up and he'd give it a look see. Turned out to be as simple as running out of coolant (we're young and trusted people who told us we were good). He made sure there were no leaks and even checked the engine over just in case. It was a kindness he didn't have to extend on his day off, but he did and we are so grateful, especially since it wasn't terribly expensive, either! I highly recommend this guy.

Broke down on the interstate and Chris made sure that we were taken care of. Arraigned for a tow to the shop and picked us up personally. Made sure that we were comfortsble and the job got taken care of in short order and his prices were more than reasonable.

I was referred to Ford Repairs by a friend two years ago, and have used his services twice. I have finally found a mechanic that does good work and will not rip you off. I highly recommend his business to anyone who needs repair work done right and at a fair price!!!!

For the 2nd time in a day, we broke down 1800mi into our cross-country trip. 100mi after a broken radiator hose, the tranny "clunked" & was slipping. In the middle of seemingly nowhere, a local at a gas station directed us 3mi to Chris. He knew right away our tranny was overheating & needed a Speed Sensor. Got a fluid flush, took the time to test drive the Jeep & worked after hours. Had to pay a guy $40 to bring us a late part. But they saved our butts. Don't be put off by the rough language & mess around the premises. An old Bostonian at heart & relocated, Chris knows his stuff. Lucky for Grand Rivers.
