As I pulled up to Kentucky Dam Village I thought the main building looked like an old elementary school. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, kinda old school but not in a worn out way. View of the lake from room was so nice. Large lobby with a gift shop. The restaurant served a good breakfast; wait staff was super friendly and views from dining hall are great. The grounds are nice.

We stayed at the Kentucky Dam Village campground and it was wonderful. Perfect weather for April. The host was very nice.

Outdated rooms. No microwave or refrigerator. Which is standard in any hotel now. Tiny bathroom that wasn't clean. The toilet in particular. Understaffed. Don't try the dining room if more than 2 people are going to eat.The staff, the few they have, were very nice and friendly and the location was outstanding. Especially for lake lovers, or nature enthusiasts. The price of the room, over $100 per night, didn't equal the quality.Noteworthy details: Marina in back, beach, campground, walking trails, great location! They have eagle watching events. Room is ok. No frills. Internet connection is not good. Good people who work here. Do NOT go to eat in the dining room.

Will the front desk lady is very hateful and short and no compassion.. very unfortunate that I called at 9:00 a.m. this morning as I live an hour away and she said she was busy she took my number and said she would call me right back which she did not so I drove up because I've always been able to check in by 1 or 2:00 .I get near the area and call her. She says there is no way you can check in until 4:00 we are short staffed, and very hateful ,not any understanding no exceptions

The venue was amazing. Could not have thought of a better place to host the 2024 Southeastern Wildlife Society ConclaveNearby activities: There is a plethora of amazing attractions nearby. Especially the lake and the park with free roaming elk and bison

The best part about this property is the employees! They were extremely friendly and helpful any time we needed something. We were locked out of our cabin and they sent someone to us to help us out.Cabins were clean and well kept. We were a little disappointed that we didn't have a fold out bed in the main room and 2 folks had to share a room. Breakfast was decent, eggs were fresh and cooked well. I would return to this property for another trip. We were in town for golf and didn't do anything other than that really.Rooms: Not bad, all 3 rooms had 2 beds. Wifi didn't work at first but after they stopped by it was corrected. They had a coffee pot, dishwasher, stove and fridge. Tv's in every room, if your into that sort of thing.

We had a great stay in our two bedroom cottage! Meticulously clean, comfortable beds, and beautiful area where the cottages sit. The woman who assisted us during check in was so friendly and inviting. Not many kitchen items to work with but didn t affect our stay. Grateful we chose this location over a hotel while traveling through. Would highly recommend!

Nice rooms nice folks great buffet lunch and breakfast.I left something turned on in my car after sitting there 2 days it ran the battery down all the way.I called the front desk and asked them who I could get to run a service call to the park on Sunday and start my car.She replied, "I'll call maintenance." In 5 minutes they arrived and jumped my car off and stood by to make sure that was the only problem. The guy refused payment or even a tip.Thanks....WIFI needs love....

Sunday brunch was excellent. Buffet constantly kept full. Many choices for soup and salad options as well as main menu of fish, chicken, beef and pork. Desert menu was excellent as well. All staff very helpful and did a wonderful job with service.Nearby activities: Many activities available in this area. Brochures were available for numerous activities. Went to the Tennessee world's BIGGEST fish fry for the weekend. It was excellent and would highly recommend when visiting this area you stop for this event also.Safety: Beautiful scenery and very safe for walking.Noteworthy details: Wonderful shop in the building to pick up special items. Had someone playing piano so you could sit and relax and enjoy the music. She did a wonderful job. Highly recommend this place and would go out of our way to stop for additional visits. We were from Indiana and went out of our way to find this place.

Rooms always nice. Clean. Beds sleep good. View was Great from #207. However, the buffet on Friday a week ago. Was terrible. We were told on phone. We could order from menu. When arrived. Buffet only option.

Stayed here a couple of nights to visit Land Between the Lakes. Stayed in a cottage. It is very clean and a quiet, peaceful area. Our cottage was close to the golf course. Be sure to bring charcoal for the outdoor grill.Nearby activities: Close to Land Between the Lakes: Golden Pond Planetarium, Woodland Nature Station, 1850 Homeplace, Hematite Lake, and much more.

The first cabin we were in had a roach on the dresser that looked like it had been through bug spray. We called for a different cabin and they gave us a new cabin with no problem; however, the second cabin we went into had big spiders - identification app on our phone said they were BROWN RECLUSE spiders. We found three in the cabin (bathroom trash can, bathroom floor, and bedspread) as well as two outside on the porch. Because it was late and we already moved our groceries and suitcases inside for the second time that night, we decided to just strip the beds and shake the sheets and blankets (one of the spiders was inside one of the beds!) It was very. stressful. worrying about brown recluse spiders in our cabin and the possibility of them getting into bedding and suitcases during our 2 night 2 day stay. Also, the doors do not have rubber seals on the bottom which allows bugs to crawl right in.They need a good bug exterminator to come often! Other than the insect problems, we had a good experience, but we will never stay in one of their cabins again.

We rented a 2br cottage for 1 night. I was towing a big trailer and the staff was very accommodating. They picked out a cottage that had enough room for me to park my trailer next to the cottage. We also had our dog with us so the cottages are nice because they are spread out a distance. Nice gift store in the main lobby. Cottage was clean. I felt like it was a tad overpriced at over $250.00 for one night. Looks like they take pride in the facility. Lots of guys running around working on landscaping and updates. Wish I had my boat and wasn't traveling!

This is our second time staying here. The first time was about 3 years ago, that time was good. The cabin was clean and well maintained. A little out dated but nothing crazy or anything. This time, our first cabin had 2 windows busted out and plywood put up but there was space between it and the window frame allowing air from outside into the rooms. The bed sheet had what looked to be some kind of red stain, the wall paper was coming off, and the larger rip on the top. While the staff was able to move us to another cabin, they kept saying maintance said it was rentable, that was not true. The broken window in the downstairs bedroom had glass still in the frame and on the ground, not safe at all. The next cabin was fine, not broken out windows or major stains in the bed. We will most likely not be coming back or recommending the cabins.Rooms: The rooms are a good size with 2 beds in all of them. The kitchen is a little small but the dinningroom and livingroom are one large open room. The rest rooms are a good size too.Safety: Honestly, the first cabin we were given had 2 completely broken out windows, with plywood boarding them up. There was glass still in the frame and on the ground outside. Not safe at all, would not stay here has a family or by myself. Nor will I recommend to others.

Seems like a ghost town most of the time but then it gets so crowded during the summer season that u can barely find a spot to park near the hotel oand restaurant. The ladies working front desk seem perpetually aggravated and ill mannered, there are a couple of exceptions though, but its always very clean and well kept. Has vending machines up front that are accessible 24/7 and always fully stocked as if by some tiny vending elf who lives inside out of sight... Nice rooms. Pets allowed.

This is our second time staying here, and we always enjoy it. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The only downside is that the pool is out of order. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!Rooms: Rooms are clean and comfortable.Food & drinks: The restaurant at the resort is always good. We love the breakfast buffet!

This place was like a beautiful dumb person!! They had nice scenery but they had nothing available to be considered a resort. Pool wasn't available to customers, bugs everywhere in the rooms, power went out and was out for 2-3 hours in the early morning, and AC wasn't blowing cold. What we thought was going to be a great stay was nothing close to even being a good stay. TERRIBLE.

First let me say that the lady who checked me in was wonderful. Very friendly. Very helpful. Even helped with finding restaurants in the area. Very nice and helpful. The restaurant was closed so no food at the inn. Don't ever let them put you in the Village Green Lodge. The room may have been one of the worst I have ever stayed in. Hardly any waterflow in the faucet. The curtains were falling from the windows. There were ants in the room. There was no fridge. I would never stay in that part of the park again.

Booked my room on Hotels .com for $80. Pet friendly. Paid in advance. Arrived and front desk added $8 more per room plus added $30 pet fees. Jacked my room up by nearly to over $100 per night. Totally false in thier representation. Never stay here. I travel to this area frequently, Needless to say KDV is a Big Never Stay!

The room was good clean & organized. The food was decent. The manager made the rule that groups all had to eat the same meal for breakfast and some in our group have special diet needs. This is the first time staying here that this rule has been admin istered. As far as our group is concerned, this rule is in poor taste and will be considered before we return next year!

When I made the reservation over two months ago I reserved what I thought was a cottage. We got here today and we have a room that's out dated. No fridge. No microwave. And the shower head sprays water out the side of the tub and all over the floor. The beds aren't anywhere near big enough for my teenage boys and I all to sleep in comfortably. I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody!!!

This place is fine for what it us. Low key small budget no frills locale. The lodge and the private houses, condos are all generally in the same shape. The beach is not in good shape and is very very rocky and full of cigarettes. The marina area is nice. Overall you shouldn't have super high expectations for this type of place. But it's not terrible. Some nicer things but some things not in order either. Good with the bad.
