Watson did the impossible and found the part I needed quickly at one of his sister yards. Other than the 4 day wait and the cost of the shipping it could not have been any better. He said the 1/2 down payment was necessary because alot of the time people quit answering the phone and he gets stuck shipping the part back.

Staff is kind of rude. They come off as if they're too busy or you're bothering them when someone asks them to do what they claim to offer the public and either locate a used part, or remove the part from a junk vehicle.. Other than that, their prices are about as normal as any other salvage yard.. Damn near as much as retail.. But, they 8 out of 10 times have what you're looking for..

Newsome's has been around for many years. I was there yesterday August 8th, 2013 to get some parts for a friend. Not only did they have the parts I needed, they even sold me a brand new ignition switch at cost that he order from somewhere else. A brand new switch retails at $53.00 for a C-20 Chevy Van and he let me have it for his cost at $16.35. The service I received was professional, expedient, and courteous. I will recommend Newsome's to any and all.Thanks a Bunch Newsome's!

These ppl are a joke. The second time I had to send my car back they decided to take it out a few nights. Ran my gas out,left beer lids in my car and either spilt beer or puked and covered it up with a floor mat. Can't even breath in it. They wore very rude and didn't answer the phone for days. When I finally got it back all that was wrong plus a tail light out. I'm just waiting on a ticket to come to me so I can nail them. Lowe down dirty ppl. Karma will get them.

I called them before driving an hour to get an engine. I was told that it would take them a couple days to get it pulled from a truck and ready to pickup. They said it had 75k miles and that I could come hear it run before they pulled it. When I arrived, the engine was sitting on the ground and missing parts I requested. I asked for a lower price to compensate for their lies and missing parts. Don't bother going here. There's a 3 day return period and poor customer service. Make a trip to Grayson, crown city, or somewhere else before you waste your time at Newsome's.

I bought a starter for my Hyundai Accent for only $45 the new one cost over $110.00 but of course it was used and pulled from another car, but worked great and started the car for over a year until I sold it. I called today with the same problem with a Buick century and was quoted a reasonable price for this part as well. I'm going to update this review after I return with the replacement part.

I would never go there again. Told me they had a rim for my car drive 45 minutes to get there they didn't have it so they said they would get me one. It took about a month to get it when I went to pick it up it was a chrome rim instead of aluminum which is what I needed but I needed something so I took it. They charged me more than what I was quoted. I took the rim to get a tire on it and they sold me a bent rim.

I've always had a great experience coming to Newsomes! They've always been extremely nice & helpful, every time I've been there! I've built a 1984 Chevy Camaro and a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass out of tht junkyard! And thts not counting all the parts & pcs tht I've needed for cars & trucks in between the 2 rebuilds! Its also a great atmosphere there, especially if you like that garage atmosphere. This place is on top of a mountain and it even crosses over a cple more mountain tops, so there's cars & trucks for as far as the eye can see!!! Its awesome!!!!!!!

This guy is a thief! They stole one of my cars and stripped it down! Had to file a police report and the police went and recovered my car after they had stripped the good parts off it. Newsome asked for my wife's information so he could call and ask her about it. Well after giving him her info, they tried to claim that she called it in after they had her info written down! This guy steals cars that are broke down, claims he doesn't have them so he can strip them down, then makes up false reports if he gets caught!

Very fair on prices, so far would have anything I need. Just 1 bad thing, I keep a clean car always, always treat them like new, if you're having body work done, I got a car full of mud and dust! took alot just to clean up front of car and door moldings and all in that area...still haven't gotten to get rear area of car cleaned up

Great place for auto parts you can't get in a store.they could be more service friendly and faster best believe your on there time make sure you go with them to get part you need to make sure it's the right one

These people are a joke !! They lie and steal!! If u take ur car to them they say it's this or that then say they are gonna fix it while u wait for it to get done they sale parts off it and say someone one stole them . Then when u ask them they say ppl steal what are we supposed to do!! I mean they act like they are good ppl and very helpful but that's just so u come back and they can mess u over !!

The best place to go to have your car worked on. They are very friendly, have the best prices and are always willing to help! They also have a tow service which is also priced well!

They don't like to make any deals they don't want to check to see if they have a part. I don't recommend this place.
