A friendly, no pressure car dealership. Ernie went over all the car specs with me and sent me on a test drive. We went over numbers together and he answered all my questions. I ve purchased many cars over the years and this was the most no nonsense interaction I ve ever experienced. I haven t purchased a vehicle from Tumminia ..yet but highly recommend them!!

I have spent the last month being hesitant about leaving a negative review because I know how much negative reviews can impact businesses. I went into this location and for starters, the environment was hostile and I found myself very uncomfortable. I too am a service advisor, and I certainly hope that none of my customers ever feel that way. I came in for a diagnostic test because my car was shaking and had the engine light on. I tried to show the gentleman I believe his name Steve a video, but he quickly assured me in a very snooty voice that he doesn t need to hear the video he knows exactly what s going on. Well fast forward after I got the diagnosis I was told I need $2300 in repairs. No big deal if that s actually what is wrong with my vehicle. I paid for my diagnostic test and took this information back to the repair shop that I work for and had the repairs done that they recommended. The repairs that they recommended did not fix my engine light, the car was still shaking, and I was pretty upset myself. Especially since I drove on the highway with a shaking car with my toddler, it s pretty upsetting I was given the wrong information. The mechanical tech at my job ended up changing a solenoid valve which is a very cheap fix and he believes that probably was the reason that my engine light was on in the first place and that the $2300 in repairs weren t even necessary. It seems like Mazda just looked at the codes that were coming up rather than truly diagnosing it. I wish I was done but since the shaking didn t stop, it turned out that I needed front axles. I feel that I did not get the answers that I needed and paid for and waited 3-4 hours on which is beyond frustrating. It took not one and not two but 3 repairs to fix that Mazda. I have 2 noisy pulley belts that could use replaced and we don t have the tools to do it at my shop but after $3500 worth of repairs some of which I didn t even need I m beyond hesitant to come there again. To me seems like if I would have went with them to do my repairs I would never found out how bad of a business deal I got myself in. Sucks. Big time.

As usual, the Service Team at Tumminia Mazda were polite and thorough. They have always taken great care of me from the very beginning, all the way from when I first bought my CX-30 to any servicing that it needed. These guys are on it, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them! Thanks guys!!!

Really happy with the service dept at Tumminia Mazda. Steve Johnson was able to get me in on short notice on a busy Saturday morning to repair a blown tire, despite my not being a current customer. Steve is quick, professional and very friendly, and a real asset to the Tumminia Team. I'll be sure to use them going forward for all my service needs!

Stay away! Won t honor warranties. With many choices in KC, spend your money with someone who actually cares. Steve in service is bitter, angry and a horrible steward for the Mazda brand. The full story. I have a 2019 CX-5 that recently developed the ghost touch issue at 90k miles that evidently is prevalent in this generation (TSB SA-001/23) but luckily I had bought the car with a 100k bumper to bumper warranty added in from the dealership.I first called the insurance company from my paperwork and asked them to verify coverage and was told yes it was a covered part. So I then called Tuminia and started explaining my issue and the related TSB for the issue.Steve started by saying well we would have to run a diagnostic for a fee first which I expected but then his mood changed when I told him I had a warranty. Indignantly he started grilling me on whether I bought the car there (no) who the coverage was through (Ethos Group) and then he said are they going to pay me with a credit card before I release the car back to you. If they are not, then I won t do your repair for you. This wasn t my first time I ve experienced Steve s resentment and obviously disdain for his job but I was hopeful that a simple repair under warranty wouldn t be too much for him to handle.Thankfully there are better choices out there for Mazda dealerships. Luther Mazda was clean, kind, and accommodating. They accepted my warranty repair, let me drive a courtesy car for a few days while they confirmed replication of the issue and warranty, and now my wife and I are considering upgrading to the CX-90 they loaned me. I ll drive the extra 20 mins to avoid ever having to deal with Steve again.

This was my first time using Tumminia to service our CX-5. I will definitely be back. They were fast, courteous and fairly priced. In the past I used another dealership just over the state line in MO. The prices were significantly higher and the service not as good.

Salesman Joe was very professional and so helpful when buying a Mazda CX-5 for my wife. He found me the one the wife wanted from another dealer and called me when it came in. He made this the best car buying experience and would recommend him and the dealership to friends and family. Great job Joe!!!!!!!

Absolutely stellar experience at Tumminia Mazda! I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this dealership. From the top-notch service to the impressive selection of cars, every aspect was exceptional. The team, including Todd and both Joes, went above and beyond, patiently answering all my questions and ensuring I felt confident in my purchase. What truly stood out was the personalized tutorial on my new car's features a thoughtful touch I didn't get elsewhere. Moreover, their non-pushy approach was a breath of fresh air; they respected my decision-making timeline without inundating me with calls. One last thing which made me so happy was the effort they put in to get me the exact CX-5 I wanted, I appreciated that so much. They didn t try to just sell me something I didn t want. Tumminia Mazda has set a new standard for car buying in my book a truly outstanding experience! This is the place to be when buying a car!!!!!!!! Love this place! And love my new CX-5 even more!!! I woke up this morning eager to start my day driving to work in my new perfect car!

My 2013 CX-5 has been serviced at Tumminia since new and the service department has always treated me with the utmost respect and it's definitely a family environment. As a former GM I can tell you this, buy your new or used car from the dealer that sells that brand. They have factory trained technicians that know your vehicle inside and out. And stick to those service intervals, they're there for a reason for them. My CX-5 has broken down zero times and that's because I take care of it and nobody touches it but Tumminia.

Terrible dealership. Went to this dealership 3 different times and every sales person seems like they hate their job. I gave them the benefit of the doubt every time but was not impressed. They were very unwelcoming and cocky even though they have no idea what they are even selling. I tried testing them a couple of times since I knew what I was buying. Caught them making stuff up every time! The salesman even talked bad about the dealership we went through with at the end. Everything he said was untrue since we went to see it for ourselves. That really shows the character of the salespeople that works there.Save your precious time and go to a different dealership, I personally recommend Luther Mazda. Very welcoming staff and knowledgeable crew. If they did not know something they were very humble about it and truly won us with their honesty! Overall a way better experience at Luther will recommend anytime.

Bought my first car EVER in life, at this location a couple days ago. First off I am SOOOOO happy with my vehicle, I ve never had an Mazda and I definitely feel a bit fancy now lol. Secondly, I can t stop raving about how awesome Joe is!!! My friend and I came in first on Saturday and it was pouring rain, an hour before close, and I barely had any idea where to start on my car hunting journey since my car unexpectedly died for good. Due to how nice the experience was on Saturday, I came back on Monday and finalized the purchase. Joe was super patient, helpful, and never made me feel pressured into anything I didn t want/need. He was great company and nothing but positive vibes!!! Hoping that I continue to work with him on all future car purchases!!

Everything was very efficient and when I had concerns they worked with me and got me the pricing I needed for the terms I wanted. For sure recommend. My sales person was Louie!

I knew that a specific part (park shift interlock switch) was bad. I called Tumminia Mazda to get a quote, which was reasonable, so I scheduled the appointment and they fixed it for me. They did a great job for a reasonable price. Overall very pleased and I will be taking my Mazda's to Tumminia henceforth. Thank you!

I had an outstanding experience working with Dave and the staff at Tumminia Mazda to service my Mazda CX5. Everything went very well - appointment time, estimate cost on work to be done, work finished on time, etc. I also met a nice salesperson, Matt, for a minute as I was walking the car lot. We will be back in the future, thank you.

Always great service from the advisors to the technicians. No unnecessary up selling or high pressure tactics. The waiting area is good for whatever you need to do while waiting with table, counter, or sofas by the TV.

I called the service department to ask a brief question about my Mazda transmission so I could schedule an appointment and the service representative immediately responded by saying "my mechanics don't answer questions. They get paid work on cars. Not trying to be rude but that's just how it is." If I can't even inquire about a service, how am I supposed to get work done on my car? How incredibly hostile and confrontational. Mazda's service department clearly isn't interested in making new customers or servicing people's cars. Also, the service representative said they don't rebuild transmissions even though their Google page says they do transmission work. Not being able to provide a service is one thing, but that's no reason to shoot down a potential customer. Maybe he just didn't want to deal with me since inquiring over the phone is apparently bad behavior on my part according to him.I've worked in customer service for over 6 years and I would never treat my customers like this in a million years. Recently, I've been a big fan of Mazda's cars, but if this is the kind of treatment I'm going to get for supporting their business, then I won't ever get another Mazda again. Stay away from Tumminia Mazda's service department unless you want to get treated like a doormat for throwing your money at them. I will be going to an independent mechanic from now on.

Hello, the Service Department, and everyone at Tumminia Mazda gave exceptional and professional customer service and work on my appointment. You are my go to for my oil changes and tire rotations. I have had brake work done before, and each time I visit, I am given exceptional service. Dave and Steve always do an excellent job every time. I had a new battery installed and it was done quickly. I continue to be satisfied with everyone quality service and care. Thank you!

Brought my car here to the service department for a recall, was prepared to wait the 3-4 hours for the part to be replaced - Steve Johnson was the man and was extremely professional and customer service oriented. Hooked me and my daughter up with a rental so we didn t have to sit in the waiting room. Will definitely continue to use Tumminia

Took car to dealership Nov 22 for warranty inspection/repair, for concerns of oil leak/at temp warning light/excessive road noise, and was charged $260 for a battery but demanded they drive the car for better inspection. Found rear coils rusted and service cut off 4 of each coil versus replacing the failed part. Car was brought back for oil leak Feb 23, dealership removed engine and transmission 3 times for seal repair. 1st and 2nd attempts failed to fix leak, 3rd attempt service said it was better but they were going to send car to Subaru Olathe to inspect and schedule repair. Advised by Tumminia I could drive the car until Subaru scheduled 4-6 weeks out. I attempted to drive the car home, less than 15 minutes driving car overheated. Tumminia advised I had to pay for a tow to bring it back to them, $87.50 paid by me, and I was stranded 4 hours on Hwy 7 experiencing loss of wages/sales time. Service found no radiator fluid in the system. I attempted to take the car home a second time, but after only 6 days I lost 5 qts of oil, that I had to pay to replace each time alerted, unacceptable condition to return car to customer. Service involved employee of MBPI (my warranty contract company) who used personal trailer to send car to Subaru Columbia, MO who could expedite repair. This repair shop found damaged/worn valves and lack of engine compression, which I believe would have been avoided had Tumminia service not made 3 attempts at engine removal/disassembly originally. Additionally, if Tumminia service believes themselves competent enough to attempt the repair, they should have been competent enough to catch the compression/valve concerns and advise me of service recommendations. I paid roughly $1600 out of pocket for a repair I believe should have been covered by the warranty, for reasons listed above, but the adjuster refused to listen to my concerns. I collected the repaired car 8/22/23, and noticed an additional billing of $967 that Tumminia was charging warranty company, when I asked Todd said it was for previous seal repair work they completed (the attempts?! No way they can bill for that, and further reduce the value of my warranty contract). Additional signs of consumer abuse: my car was driven from Columbia, MO to Olathe, KS getting me even closer to the warranty mileage expiration; damage to vehicle including several rock chips on windshield, two dents above rear drivers side, scratches all along passenger side with sections that appear to have touch up paint hiding the affected area. I ve also asked the warranty company how the completed repair work is warranted, and where do I have to take the car for follow up repair on any one of those items now that the car has been passed through 3 different repair facilities, and they don t know how to answer. My car has been returned to me in terrible physical condition after spending 7 months parked outside in the elements. Huge disrespect from Todd Tumminia, don t trust this dealer. Filed an FTC Complaint and police report for damage to vehicle, awaiting owner response to relay to my attorney

If you want the REAL PICTURE - READ the YELP reviews. Hint, It's NOT 5 star reviews.Personally, we love our Mazda vehicle. HOWEVER, the service department (which is a vital part of buying a car) leaves something to be desired.I scheduled online (because it is almost impossible to speak with anyone in the service dept., you have been warned) for a simple alignment on a Saturday. I moved my schedule around on a Saturday to accommodate this. I called the service department and after about a 20 minute wait, finally talked to someone to ask how long it would be. He told me that they do not do alignments on Saturday.Had I have not waited the 15 min to talk to this guy, I would have wasted my time Saturday driving all the way to the dealership to have them tell me that they don't do alignments on a Saturday. That's very poor service. I asked if they were going to let me know to not come in. He said they don't really look at the service schedule until the day of. What a clown show this is.I spoke with a manager and he offered me a loaner during the week if I wanted to bring the car in. It seemed like he was trying to sell me tires and other things also, none of which I needed. I just needed them to not waste my time.Buying a car is only part of the relationship with a dealership, servicing the vehicle throughout the life of the vehicle is also an important part of the sale. In this situation they are a hard fail since the service is as important as the purchase.Don't walk away from this place, RUN! I guarantee you can get better service at Toyota or Kia all day long. You have been warned!
