I just got done getting my car inspected excellent process!!! I got there Wednesday at 9:30 and I was leaving before 9:50. There was no wait And the ladies made it super quick. Thank you very much!!!

Why do they only do salvage titles, had 5 cars in parking lot compared to the I35 and lamar where there's no spots in parking lot! Great use of Man Power State of Kansas and here's your sign!

Courtesy and very informative. I believe that it helps when certain items especially if they come from a GOV website should be considered such as titles especially from out of titles. And I say this because, I did receive my title and the title showed everything on the website that it shows on the paper title itself. However, it does not take away from the representative doing their jobs, I believe if things are technology based and easy to retrieve that may be something can be implemented in the future.

Very kind people! I didn't have to wait long at all to get help, they're straight to the point. Got my car inspected in less than 20 minutes! Highly recommend this place

On my first initial trip to the Kansas Highway Patrol my mindset was it would take all day however to my surprise it was very efficient and eas. Speaking to (Nancy) the patrol agent who assisted me was so very helpful and assisted me with so much care as well being well informed as to what steps I should take to retrieve my required vehicle registration.And my second trip went as smoothly as the first and I was able to get my vehicle inspected in under 15 minutes and on my way with a passing inspection.So I just wanted to take time to think and compliment the staff by saying keep up the great work.Prayers to and for all to have a great rest of the year with added blessings

They open at 8 so you should be there before 7, like 630, to wait in line. On busy days even if you arrive at 630 there might be 5 or 6 other ls in line already. That happened to me the last time ai went, but this time a couple weeks ago was not as busy. The inspection is quick. Make sure you bring your title, registration, drivers license, and any other items specific to you you might need such as pieces of mail with your address on them.

If you buy an out of state vehicle and live on the Kansas side of KC. You must get an inspection. Okay, but why is this place so slow. Oh wait it's a government entity and they have to live up to the phrase about government, "hurry up and wait" The state of Kansas built a new inspection center off Highway I 70 on the west bound side. It was our tax money and toll fees that the state used to build it. But we are not allowed to go in the building. We use to be able to go into the old building. To me it's a large building that serves as a large break room for state only employees to enjoy. You can't even use their bathroom if you had to go after the long waits. What a way to treat tax payers who paid for this building.

Considering it is the busiest in the state, and is a government agency, adjust your expectations knowing you're going to have to wait for a bit, and things move smoothly. Photo is at 725am - 5min before they open- already has a line.

Well I went a few days ago. I had planned on getting there when the placed opened at 7:30 am, but got there closer to 8am. Quite a few people there when I got there, so I was prepared to wait.I went to the window with all my documents. They asked me to pull forward next to the building, and open the hood. I didn t have to wait long 20 or 30 minutes, and someone came out to inspect the car.She took all my documents back into the building. After a wait she came out with the inspection certificate stapled to the title. That was it. For me fairly quick, and easy.I did see some people said they had a long wait. Sounds like it is the luck of the draw.I would go in the morning, and avoid the beginning of the week. They were pretty quick getting through the inspections.10/19/23, well they lost a star from me. The certificate that was provided had the wrong year for my car. Fortunately DMV had a fix, so my guess is that this happens often. DMV gave me the number for the inspection station. I called them, and they were able to fax over a corrected certificate.Whew thought I was going to have to make a second trip back to DMV.So the moral to this story is to check and see if all your information matches, before you walk away.Oh and for the angel at the other inspection station, who alerted this inspection station that I was trying to get a hold of them. Well you get all five stars and then some.Thanks!!!

Excellent experience! The employees were super fast, polite, and professional! I was done 7 minutes after arrival, and they were super busy! Can't say enough about how efficient it was!

Much quicker than the Olathe location. Arrived at 9 on a Wednesday and was the second person in line. Many more people arrived right after, so your experience may vary.

Exit is Lamar Ave, no 24th Street marking Extremely easy process, just have ID, Title, & proof of address (if different from ID) and they'll get you in and out.Thanks to y'all!

Simple, easy inspections! Just checked to make sure you're vin #'s matched and they weren't stolen. Nothing more! You pay for it when you go to the DMV to get your tags!!!!!

Service was nice and efficient and the ladies were awesome! I went on a Thursday at 8:30 AM and was done in 30 mins. As of April 2023 you still check in at the window, they will take your info and come to your car. Super easy if you have the right papers!

There was a small window open with 1 lady . She was writing down people coming to the window. The wait was an hour for them to look at my car and go back inside.

Definitely get here early. Showed up at 1030 and the parking lot is completely full with a line of about 15 cars waiting to get in
