Rich and Team are always fantastic! I know I can trust them with quality service and provide feedback that is looking out for me. Can't rave enough about how great this place is. My boyfriend Scott C, who has a 5 star review on here, recommended I take my SUV into County Line Auto Works to figure out whether the strong smoking oil and/or burnt plastic smell I was noticing was an issue that needed immediate attention/repair. I would smell it after a few different 20-30 minute trips on different days. I was not told what the potential charge would be for diagnosing this. I had anticipated there would not be a charge if they found nothing to be wrong, which was the case for my boyfriend, where they removed and then repositioned engine belts on his car. Unfortunately, I was charged $60 in labor and only $4.20 in parts. With the addition of tax the total came to be $70.06 for the the diagnosis of nothing needing repaired or replaced. Staff was friendly, but I am wondering how they decide whether or not to charge someone for diagnostics when it is determined there is nothing in need of repair/replacement.

I brought my car in over the summer for a squealing belt before I took a long road trip, and I forgot to leave a review, but the service was so good that I wanted to make sure I added one, even months later. All my interactions were friendly and welcoming. The service was great - above and beyond what I expected, and I felt confident on my trip. I have been recommending this shop since I came in!

Great service, friendly staff and reasonably priced!My engine light came on and my car wouldn t start. Luckily I already had an appt here but they were still able to get me in and fixed up within the same day. 10/10 would highly recommend! Rich and Josh had a challenge with my car, but fixed all my issues so I could drive to the mountains! I'm here now, enjoying the view. My 2012 Kia with 120k miles feels 50k miles younger!

I ve never felt better and more confident taking my car anywhere. They are honest & won t tell you you need any extra stuff done. Their prices are fair and they have made me feel so much better about my aging car. Sometimes as a teacher I wish they were open on the weekends but honestly good for them!!!! I am so happy to fit it into my schedule during the week for the quality & honestly I get here. I only wish I d found them years ago! I ll never go anywhere else

First time going to Tarwater's. Took my '86 Mazda truck here for a check up before gambling on a three week, 3200 mile trip. While I know predicting whether an old car's gonna make it can't be a guarantee, they made some recommendations and said it looked good overall.Just parked back in KCMO with zero issues. After hearing great things about this shop I decided to make use of their services and see for myself. I am very impressed. They are super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I had planned on starting off with a simple oil change to gauge whether I felt they were trustworthy. While there I inquired about another issue that I had been having and planned on getting a price and make an appointment for another visit but the gentleman offered to order the part and take care of it right there on the spot to save a visit. This level of service is rare anymore. I appreciated the fact that even with a surprise extra repair, they were able to order the part, get it delivered, and still get me fixed and on my way in just under an hour at a very reasonable price. I will definitely not only return but I will be telling others about the level of service offered here.

Outstanding customer service!!! My mother s car broke down late afternoon, and they had it repaired by noon the next morning. These guys did a great job! They were able to troubleshoot and fix an issue I had with my Grand Caravan electronic keys. As with every visit, Rich was very detailed and let me know how my tires were with a rotation. IF I could have gotten into Sam's that would be free, but Rich was knowledgeable about the pressure gauges being reset and checking my tires, so his fee was very reasonable. I am always more reassured with the dandy mechanics at County Line, even driving from Olathe--the only mechanics I trust with my vehicles for many years now.Service: Tires

I have brought my highlander in to get the brakes completely replaced and they did a phenomenal job.Just today I brought my camry in for power steering issues and they got me up and running very quickly.This is now my go to garage for any car issues.Added plus is that they're super friendly.Very thankful for their service

Tarwater's Garage has done excellent on our vehicles. doing repairs we asked for and inspections to prevent future problems while on the road. I have used Rich in the past before he was involved in Tarwaters and followed him here. He has always given fair and honest evaluations telling me what needs to be fixed now and what will be coming but can wait. Had him inspect my son's used car as I knew it needed work and he gave me a full run down of what he saw and any potential issues, what he could complete and anything that would have to be done externally. Rather than jump at a chance to do pricy repairs he told me safety issues vs items that could wait knowing the car was going to a new driver. I also had him work on my mom's vehicle and they were able to get me in and out quickly resolving my issues in an afternoon. I will continue to return for any future issues as they get the work done properly and I have not had to return for repeat problems.

Tarwater's Garage is a very friendly and honest place. It is a small family-owned shop and the people are great. As a female I feel really good about spending my money here because I know they are fair and honest. Rich and his team have cared for our entire family's auto care for over a decade and I have no interest in ever going anywhere else.
