Do not recommend. This business doesn t know how to 1) Do good business OR 2) Do the RIGHT thing. Perhaps I am wrong. But if I bring my car to you to be diagnosed and 1) You DO NOT inform me right from the start that you charge $180.00 per issue to diagnose. To me that is an issue. Had i known this I would not have had them look at 2 issues, I would have only had them diagnose 1 issue. And if that is not enough to make you think twice about coming here. I came in with good brand new tires that I just paid $1300 for 2 weeks PRIOR. When I turned my car on to leave I had low tire pressure before even driving away. I thought it was odd, but didn t think too much of it. Filled it with air. It was not until 3 weeks later when I got the same low tire pressure that I realized that there was a screw in my brand new tire. Do you think they were interested in resolving this issue for me? Absolutely NOT in fact the service manager was kind enough to inform me they could fix it for me for a charge of $45.00. If you think this is a good way to do business then by all means keep coming to this service department. But I do not recommend it and I will never go back. Also when your vehicle is in the shop they will not call and explain anything to you. They expect all communication to go through text messages. And since we are already so good at communicating face to face. You can only image the information lost via text communication when it comes to vehicle repairs. Please find another business to get your repairs done at. I will also ask that no one at the ford location reach out to me regarding this review. I am DONE with your business. DO BETTER.

Called McGrath about rekeying my car key after it got dropped and damaged.The service advisor wasn t able to answer basic questions about this service. Did not follow up with me, and then when guesstimating how much it would cost (he literally said I don t have the information in front of me but I d guess it would cost x amount.) he wanted to ball park me almost $400 for one simple chip key. You d think it wouldn t be that hard to just get up and ask someone that could actually give me an accurate number.Called Lynch and they were not only able and willing to come out and service my vehicle on site but they did not quote me such a ridiculous price. You d think with all the issues they have and the money McGrath would make off me that they d at least try??Apparently not.I haven t heard a single good thing from friends or family locally who needed anything other than an oil change. They failed me with with such a simple task to complete that they have lost a customer for life. (Not that they truly care or anything.)

It seems like every time my vehicle was taken here something else went wrong with my vehicle after few days after i got it back from here. This is one of the last places i would take my vehicle to get fixed.

Friendly staff but wait times are ridiculous. Definitely understaffed/overbooked at all times. Be prepared to literally wait/hours at a time :/

These brakes where inspected as part of the works and passed!I have been let down too many times.After almost 8 years as a client I have decided today not to accept any more mistakes.Too many times this company has dropped the ball and kept my vehicle days longer than expected.They wanted to charge me $100 plus today for a brake inspection that should have been completed as part of the works a month ago.The brake service was booked around 2 weeks ago for a Saturday. I called to confirm it wouldn't be a problem. Saturday comes and I'm told they will not look at the vehicle until Monday.I ended up changing my own brake pads because I need the vehicle for work.

Josh was (once again) awesome! Friendly, efficient, and communicative, he kept me in the loop the whole time so I knew where we were in the process. Went in to get the airbag recall repair done and was told it could be a few hours. I was offered a ride home with their shuttle service (great experience with both drivers) and was picked up within minutes. They finished the job about an hour faster than quoted and even put air in my tires when they saw the low pressure light on. Would recommend 10/10.

Thorough car servicing, took care of one recall, car wash, signed up for 3 more service visits. Love Josh, Brent and crew. Brett was amazing!! Great customer service!! Took my vehicle in to have check engine light checked and brakes repaired. Brett set up shuttle service so I could wait in the comfort of my home. Needed a new engine so was texted if had extended warranty. I replied yes and he took care of all the details of calling to find the company and contacting them. He found out was able to have a rental car while my vehicle was being repaired and went the extra mile to make all the arrangements for the rental. Then kept communication with me via text with updates on my car. When went to pickup my vehicle when it was finished he also arranged to have the rental returned so I didn t have to. Had a recall on my airbag, they were able to get it done in just a few hours. I generally do all the work on my cars myself but in this situation obviously it had to be done at a dealership. If I didn t do work on my own vehicles I would definitely consider taking them here, everyone was polite and even though it was in for the airbag (at no charge to me) they did notify me that my brakes needed replaced. I already knew they were pretty shot and have been putting off doing it myself but it was nice that they checked that for me. I declined the brake service as I am going to do it myself but they didn t pressure me at all to have them do it which was nice to see, I know a lot of places would pressure you so they can get the money for it. Thank you again

Took the car in at 10:30am for an airbag recall, asked them to check the alignment while it was there because car spun out on icy roads and wanted to make sure everything was ok. Said they would have the car ready at 5, and would call us about the other issue. Called them at 3 because we didn't hear from them, no one could talk to us, they would call us back. Called them again at 4 because we still hadn't heard anything, still no one could talk to us. Showed up at 5 to get the car, not done, never looked at the issue we asked them to look at. Didn't have the time. Fine. At least they fixed the recall issue. Then on the way home the windshield washer miraculously stopped working. Won't spray anymore. So we were apparently one of the multiple people who have left Google ratings who have had things that worked fine when they went into McGrath, no longer work when the vehicle came back out. Beware taking your car here--take it somewhere else if you can.

My paper work indicated the recall service had been completed and they sent me home. Not long after I got home I received a call asking me to return to make sure the recall work had been completed. Upon my return they discovered the recall work had not been completed and they then completed the the recall in a very timely manner. Thanks to their service tech my car is safe again!Service: Oil change

I went in with a general idea of what might be wrong and in need of attention. McGrath provided a video of the diagnostic inspection that I could review and stood ready to answer any questions I had. This inspired confidence when I approved the needed repairs. McGrath Ford in Hiawatha did an excellent job servicing my Explorer. They provided outstanding communication throughout the process. Brett did an excellent job explaining everything to me. I was stuck in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a work trip. Truck broke down and the guys at McGrath Ford were awesome. Josh, the service associate helped me through the whole process and kept me updated. Although I m not from that part of the country I would definitely recommend these guys and Josh, to anyone in need of repairs or basic upkeep and maintenance. 10/10 job for this business getting me back on the road same day and home that night!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

The magic oil pan leaking during an oil change. I check my oil regularly, and I park the in the driveway. Vehicle has less that 45k on the dash. The free maintenance is never free. They will get their money else where. Our other vehicle was in their shop 4 Tim s for not going in reverse early in the morning. Was told nothing they could do. Took back to a real shop, Van Horn Ford, and within a week we had a new transmission covered and replaced. No issues since. McGrath does the bare minimum, and will find one way or not to get their money. If my car shows oil leaks in my driveway tonight I am going to lose my mind.Service: Oil change

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HEREWe had purchased the multiple oil change offer and all three times we took our vehicle in for service it came out with issues it didn't have before.1st Time - We got the car back with screws in the tire after they drove it to the service building.2nd Time - We took it to a different "our normal" tire place a week later and they couldn't remove any tires without busting off the lug nuts because they couldn't be removed due to being put on incorrectly.3rd Time - The service worker busted our hood latch trigger inside the car, and claimed it was already like that, even though they are the only ones who had touched it. Claimed they could do nothing about it and wanted to charge us to replace it.Service: Oil change

McGrath charges $150 for diagnostics to check your battery. By the time they charge the $150 diagnostic charge and over $300 for the battery, it cost me over $500 to get a new battery. I have checked other dealerships and there is no charge to check it and maybe $15 to install. Due to McGrath s outrageous and excessive charges, they have now lost me as a customer for this type of service.Service: Auto battery replacement

I dropped my car off at 10:30am after setting an appointment time days prior. I called at 3pm to get an update and was informed by Chris G that they haven't even looked at my car yet. I told him that I needed my car back by 5pm to get to work the next day.I went back at the very end of the day to find out by Brett M that they had expected to keep my car for the weekend. They never called me or gave me any updates.Overall it was embarrassing service and way too expensive. I just wanted to say again thanks so much for the great work you guys did yesterday to get our car road trip ready and turned it around so quickly . I had worked with Brett and Korey from service and being from out of town they really jumped on the car for us! Also having gone in for an oil change and tire balancing they actually discovered some tire damage, and finding that damage was key to safety!The new-to-us 2012 Fusion Hybrid now with two new Kelly tires super smooth on the 150 mile ride home and it worked perfectly. She got 37 MPG averaging about 70 MPH I wanted you to know that you really made a difference for us out-of-towners yesterday! Nice waiting area. Free shuttle service with friendly and competent drivers. Typical stealership when it comes to parts and repairs. They quoted me nearly $500 to replaced rear shocks. They didn t have parts in stock to fix the issue I had it in for and I had to go on travel so McGrath had my vehicle 10 days. I asked to have some dents looked at, but they didn t get it done stating the guy was on vacation. I won t go back unless forced to.
