Very unpleasant experience. I had it towed to them. I had a problem with my car starting. They quoted my 3280$. What? They don't know how to do math. Just my plugs and wires. There is all these sensors going out. Mechanic thinks knows it all. He doesn't. Took car to a friend's. It was sparkplugs, wired, and coil packs. Which was only 270$ to fix it. On btw the only thing that showed up on his computer thing was misfire. Watch these guys. They are crooks.

My 92 year old father does not have a computer but he asked me to put in a good word for the Car-X on NE 14th St. They take such great care of him and he really appreciates it and so do I. It is good to know there are still honest people that treat the elderly well. Thanks to all the great people at Car-X.

My mom recently paid for an oil change, and they were also supposed to do a tire alignment. We just found out they did not do the tire alignment, and I'm not even sure they did the oil change...

I own a business right down the street with 8 vehicles needing regular maintenance and wanted to make them my go to for maintenance/repairs as they are very close.I dropped a van off and told them the issue that was happening and let them know to please check the wheel speed sensors as that is a common problem. They called me and said "needs brakes, rotors, and one new hub assembly" I was not in town so I authorized the $1300 worth of work.. came by to pick the van up and the same issue was happening. I asked them if they checked/replaced the wheel speed sensors, they said no - the one part I asked them to look at.I brought the van back to my warehouse and decided to replace the $30 sensor myself.. wouldn t you know it, that fixed the issue completely!The work they did do was done well, but the fact that their mechanic didn t do the wheel speed sensor when I told them myself that was more than likely the issue is what is upsetting. These guys just lost $10-15k+ of yearly revenue over a $30 part.

They usually do great work I only come to this one, however there was a time I took my car in to get fixed I told them what was wrong they later told me that is not what was wrong & called themselves fixing it I got my car back with the same problem I took it in with, when I took it back they then stated you were right the first time and it ll be 700 to fix never delt with them when it comes to anything major after that just oil changes and tires now

Please save yourself the stress and anger with these ppl, inexperienced mechanics here will have you dishing out thousands to fix a problem that will never get fixed, car went in working paid 2,900 to fix issues they calculated and 3 weeks later clonked out on me and now they are saying it s other parts and problems and I will need almost another 1,000 to fix, no thank you I would not recommend at all, take your vehicle at your own risk smh!

Everyone here seemed like cool people and they were correct about the engine mount being bad and fixed it. However I feel like what followed ahead heavily outweighs the positive experience I had initially.CarX diagnosed my car for an issue I was experiencing and quoted me almost $6k on repairs. So I went to get a 2nd opinion at a different mechanic somewhere else, it only took him 15 minutes to figure it out (very simple fix, took 5 mins to do and was for free) wow.We learned that CarX quoted me on unneeded repairs, and caused damage to my car during their front end inspection. Will never come back again to this CarX location for any car maintenance, they are fraudulent.Service: Vehicle Inspection

They diagnosed a serious problem in my wheel. Did not overcharge me. Actually saved me by getting it right when others said it was different problem. Got me in for service on short notice and completed the repairs as suggested. On time on budget. No problems. Good customer service. Female manager was totally on point and went above and beyond what I expected. Bravo!

DO NOT GO HERE! Brought my car here because it wouldn't start, the alternator went out.. they told me I needed a new alternator, battery, and belts. Ok fine.. $1700 later I picked my car up and all of a sudden my air conditioner wasn't working. Called them they told me to come back they'd put coolant in it. Ok went back they put coolant in and then 2 days later we realized it was leaking antifreeze. It has NEVER leaked antifreeze and the spot it was leaking from had fresh JB Weld on it, a hose cover and my new battery was covered in antifreeze. The old battery wasn't. Took it back to them and showed them what their guys left it there so they could look. Nicole the manager then calls me and tells me that there's no way her guys did this, they don't even have gray JB Weld. When I went to pick my car up, I couldn't even take it because they had taken that piece to the radiator apart and couldn't get it back together. Nicole proceeded to show me a tube of JB Weld with black on one side and gray on the other and said that's the only Weld they had and not the same color as what was on the radiator. Then she told me she did write up an estimate for a new radiator because it needs one. AFTER THEY BROKE IT!!! and when i went to pick up the car for the final time it smelled like weed in there, pretty sure they were smoking in the shop right before I arrive. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

from out of state wheel bearing went out took one hour to replace a 250.oo dollar part and got charged 700.oo i dont advice anyone traveling to use this buisness after getting home i went to my mechanic and showed him the bill . he was out raged we looked up the part and labor and are cost of living is close to the same i was over charged close to 200.ooService: Auto maintenance

Had a rack and pinion replaced. It broke within a year. They honor the warranty of the part but then double the cost of labor. Or they just make up labor cost as they see fit cause I've been here about 6-8 times and it's never been the same. I stopped in yesterday which was Saturday because my tire was going flat. I usually go to a different location. The lady there got me right in. Turned out I had a nail in it so the patched it for me. They also offered to do my oil change which was great because it was due. The manager Nichole and the tech there were super friendly and very helpful. I literally live right next door to a Firestone Auto Repair, but they charge way too much. Car-x is reasonably priced. Recently, they were willing to cut off my old muffler and weld on a new one. Firestone required that the entire pipe be replaced, for a thousand dollars. As long as they maintain quality service at an affordable price, I'll keep giving them my business. While there's always room for improvement, I believe this place deserves a five star rating.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

This location did a good job with the items that I asked them to do, and those services were reasonably priced (oil change and tire rotation). For these, I'd give them 5 stars.Unfortunately, they have run into an issue many such locations encounter. They told me that I needed to replace the front Lower Control Arms and Stabilizer Links. I took the car to a retired shop owner to check, and these did need to be replaced. The problem was in the price; Car-X quoted me nearly $1,000 for the parts for this alone. We were able to order these from a reputable parts website for just over $200 total.TL;DR, while I'd recommend them for basic services, definitely check any recommendations for price, as they appear to be drastically overcharging.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I had my vehicle taken to this shop after an accident. After the insurance claim, estimate, repairs, and the bill, ended up paying a large sum of money outside of my deductible to cover the shops mark-up prices and shipping fees on every part ordered, which were much higher than originally discussed in order for the shop to turn a profit on the vehicle. The shop owner is polite and respectful, but refused to communicate with insurance company or disclose information on specifics/billing to help lower my out of pocket charges, which is concerning. Would not recommend doing business with this company.

I walked in and met Juan after talking with around 4-5 other automotive repair companies locally. They were able to get me in ASAP, but not only that, I got a deal that was nearly 50% of what the dealer would have charged me for a repair on my 2006 GT mustang. Great crew. Great Service. Also, free soda!! Both the service tech & front desk person were pleasant. Unfortunately after getting a 2nd opinion from an independent mechanic, I believe they were trying to get more out of me than what my vehicle actually needed. Will not be returning.

Quick oil change my drain plug was stripped so I couldn t do it my self and too it there fast didn t charge any extra and didn t dirty up my interior even had money in the glove box was still there after the service great people love to tip the mechanicsService: Oil changeService: Oil change

This is the best car repair shop I've been to! I made an appointment online the day before. When I walked it, I was politely greeted, and my car was brought into the shop only minutes later. The person who helped me even told me about the discount offered on what I needed done. Another thing was found wrong with my car which required no extra labor cost. Food and drinks were offered for no cost in the waiting room along with my choice of what to watch on Netflix. My car was fixed in a short amount of time, and now it runs better than before! Best service, best prices, and best hospitality around. Highly recommended.

I ve been going there for the last few years while in college and they are always great to work with! Just recently dropped the car off for making a weird noise and they said it was an easy fix! Absolutely loved my first time experience here. The manager, Mark is very friendly, he filled me in on everything that was going to happen. They had free complimentary snacks and drinks. After my oil change was done, they told me the issues, looked up prices for what my vehicle needed in the future. They are worth more then 5 stars! Definitely recommend. Prices aren t terrible either.

I went to othere carx places n they are the only ones that made the effort to give me a good deal because the one I had wouldn't fit with my newer car that's a 2015 equinox. Thank you for the help you gave me

Short Version: Great shop. Great people. Honest and friendly. Highly recommended!Long Version: A friend recommended this place to me. Had my car inspected here b/c I'm coming up on 200,000 miles. Was trying to figure out if I should keep my old vehicle and do repairs or buy a newer car. Mark went through and showed me everything that was in need of service. He gave me a price breakdown for each repair, but didn't pressure me at all to do anything. Inspection was FREE. I've done my own work on my car for years, but no longer have time to do things on my own. So, with that, I was able to confirm everything he was telling me was true. Honest, no BS, up front price breakdown. Couldn't ask for anything better. Thanks again guys!

Nolan, the manager, is always friendly, helpful and has you leaving with a smile on your face. They communicate right away if further issues arise or are found. Car X gets the job done right!!! I highly recommend this location to get the work done quickly and correctly!

My experience didn t start off the best with car x, I originally went in for an oil leak in my car that was pretty bad, when I originally got my car back the oil was still leaking pretty bad and I was a little angry right then and there that I was going to have to drop my car off at car x again.But when Car-X says they guarantee their work they really mean it, after taking my car back Mark and his team helped make my car feel thousands of miles younger again! Car drives, they even went as far as to replace one of my engine mounts for me which I really appreciate!Would like to say thank you to the guys at car x for taking care of the situation quickly and conveniently. Thank you.

At Car X, they are very friendly people and trusting. I strongly recommend going to them with any issue you have with your vehicle. I went there to have a couple things done, and they found a few issues I didn't know about and got it fixed for me! The manager Josh done an outstanding job on being specific and explaining details, even helped me out with a crazy good discount. I've never been happier with any other Auto Shop! Thank you Car X!(: I really appreciate all the time and hard work their putting into my car just to make sure I'm driving safe. I'll definitely be returning here if I have anymore problems!

I started taking my car to this location a couple of years ago. I like the thorough inspection they do. I used to do my own repairs, but I am getting older and seem to be too busy to do it anymore and it is getting harder to do it at home any cheaper. I was called the next day and ask to come back and get my light fixed and I'm happy to say it is fixed .Mark and Josh were great. I've been coming to Car-X for about nine years since I moved to the area for my oil changes and for other work with all the vehicles in my home a total of 4 vehicles. I will continue to come to Car-X for all my mechanic needs.

Josh and Jake helped us out with a used car inspection. They were SO helpful and gave us excellent information about a car we wanted to buy, and made us feel confident in going to negotiate the price of the car (a used Honda CR-V). We will definitely continue going to Car-X because of their great customer service and knowledge!
