My daughter is a first year Luther student and had just dropped her off a couple of weeks ago. Her car wouldn't start at an off campus location. Thought might be the battery. An auto parts store thought it might be the alternator. Saw Leon's reviews so took it there. They were busy but they got us in right away. They fully tested the alternator and the battery and determined it was the battery. They replaced it and we were on our way. I had driven in from several hours out to help her. They said next time just call them and they would go to her if necessary. Great service. Highly recommend.Service: Auto battery replacement

They fix my under part for my car that covers your under part under your car but when my car dealership call them to ask about fixing the other matter he said they didn t seem like they were interested in fixing the reason the engine light was on so he told me to go and get my car and we will just take it elsewhere.. Honest when I came in both time they were not really happy to see me like they were with other customers. I am travling cna so I m not from here they shop was the 1st shop I noticed when my light came on so I stop there like I said they fixed my uncover fast and it was cheap but they honest didn t want to deal with me as a customer and that s fine but when you running a car shop you are supposed to welcome all colors and shape and size but I see now a days things are changing in that area They were busy so I guess they just didn t want my service but I willGet my car fix either way but I just want to do my review for other travelers

Was visiting in Decorah when my old car developed electrical problems. Friends recommended Leon's. They were a tremendous help. Despite being busy they quickly diagnosed problem (bad alternator) and gave me an excellent price. And when old alternator was found to be corroded in place, they went the extra mile to get it out for only a small additional price. HIGHLY recommended.

I had to replace my car's knock sensor. It was $450 in Rochester MN, but, I got it replaced around $250 at Leon's Auto and Truck Repair. The check engine light has been turned off. I am happy. We were driving to town from Green Bay Wisconsin when there was a strange noise coming from the front end of our truck. When we called Ford they were unable to help us so we asked who they would recommend. They told us to contact Leon. We called and he told us he was booked up, but once we explained our situation he said "well I'm not going to leave you stranded". He was able to squeeze us in to determine if we would be safe to drive back to Green Bay. Once I explained the symptoms he had it all figured out before we even took the test drive. He was able to squeeze in a quick repair and charged us a fair price. His being able to help us was a God send, especially when you are not from the area and trying to make you way back home. I cannot say enough good things about Leon and his business, I wish there were more stars.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Leon's is one of the only car places I've ever worked with who has time in their schedule to fit someone in same day for something more than an oil change. Our A/C went out during a week it was in the 90s. I assumed we would have to wait weeks to get in the schedule, but they fit us in that day AND had it back to us sooner than expected. This has been the case more than once and I am so thankful. They are thorough, reliable, and are not going to try to fix something that isn't broken. If they don't think they can fix the issue to the best of their ability they will send you elsewhere to someone who can. We've only been going here for a few months but I know I will continue to give them business for years to come with service like that!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning, Battery

Over priced and will take advantage of a girl if you go in there alone. My oil change cost 128.00 because they also checked to see why my cars air conditioner wasnt working. Theyre very expensive and if you say no to working being done theyll charge you more for other work thats been done. Theyll get most out of you as possible. I was an out of town visitor to Decorah when my right rear wheel began to screech. Leon s Shop worked me into their schedule on Monday, diagnosed the problem and was able to get my car fixed by noon and back on the road. . Many thanks for your help!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Starter suddenly went out when in town moving my kid home from Luther College. Leon was able to squeeze me in and get us back on the road on time and at a reasonable price! He'll be my go to in Decorah from now on!

From my experiences, Leon charges reasonable prices and provides thorough services. You might have to wait a while to service your car, but the service is generally good.

Do NOT waste your time. I had to take my vehicle elsewhere 2 days after leaving because they said they checked the things I asked them to do and did not do ANYTHING!
