How did this garage ever get this good a rating? I told them my SUV was shimmying in FRONT when I had to break at 45 mph or higher. They charged me $400 to replace the REAR brakes (Ken said he was positive that was the problem), and issue still exists! Receipt says they test drove after repair. They couldn't have.

Best auto service center in eastern Iowa!Ken Klein is the most honest business owner you will ever meet! And he & his mechanics know what they're doing! They have been taking care of my automotive needs for years. And my daughters also.

I am very satisfied with the service, in that, I had received! Ken Klein, the owner, was very helpful and professional! I had told him, that by having those particular traits, he has a very strong demeanor and a understanding heart for his customers! Thanks Ken for all of your help today! I can't speak highly enough of Klein Auto. They've done a great job of working with us and finding reasonable approaches to issues rather than suggesting high dollar fixes just for billing's sake. Ken really takes care of his customers. Most honest auto repair service I have ever done business with. I will be taking my cars here for every repair they need. Best priced and best service around and repairs done right the first time. I have never had to return a car for poor workmanship. I would highly recommend Klein Auto Service!

My alternator quit on me, and I needed immediate repair. Most places were booked up and wouldn't even try to fit me in. Klein's said they would do their best to work on it over a few days. They had the alternator replaced and I had my car back within 24 hours of my battery light coming on. Prices for the part and labor were very fair, as well. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a new mechanic. Having lived in Cedar Rapids area all my life you would think this would be an easy task, it was not. Finally, based on google reviews, I decided to try Klein Auto repair.Being somewhat mechanically inclined I have an idea of what needs to be done, how long it should take and what the repair should, roughly, cost. After having Klein auto work on two separate repairs I feel that I have found someone that I can trust with my vehicles. Both times the repairs were done in good time and at a reasonable and fair price. To top things off I was kept informed and consulted on the repair. If you are looking for a mechanic give them a shot, I think you will be pleased.

I stopped by Klein on 1-8-22 when the wind chill was around -15 with a relatively trivial issue that is usually a piece of cake when its not so cold. I asked if there was any way they would allow me to help myself with my issue. They insisted on taking care of it for me and sent me on my way in under 5 minutes. Past experiences already had me coming back but this last one cemented for me, best mechanics in the biz.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We were driving home to the Quad Cities on 4th of July when our car starting overheating. Using our roadside assistance, we had it towed to Klein s due to their good reviews, hoping they would treat us right.They were closed on the 4th (Sunday) and the 5th (Monday observed holiday), so I called Tuesday morning to see if they could look at our vehicle. I spoke to Ken, who said they would try to squeeze it in despite being booked up for the week.And indeed they did! They had it done by Friday and we were able to pick it up and drive it back home after getting the radiator replaced. Good service and highly recommended!

My girlfriend took her car here (based on a friends recommendation) and while there was some mix up with the parts that the mechanic couldn't control he handled it very well and put out a good honest vibe. Took a little longer, and cost more than the original estimate, but there was a much bigger problem lurking behind a small one. It was a shock to her, but still really felt he was completely honest with her. Throughout the experience he was super professional yet down to earth. I'm gonna try him for our next few repairs, after hearing some good reports about this place. Finding a mechanic you can trust, to me, is essential. You don't hear what you want to hear, but you can trust they are telling you the honest truth. Essential!

Worst experience ever! Brought my car in for a oil leak near the back rear tire and they replaced the pinion seal which isn t near the leak. When I brought my car back because it was still leaking they didn t want to acknowledge that this was the original leak I brought it in for and wanted to charge me for the leak to be fixed again. When I brought up my concerned he was only willing to duduct half of the cost of the work previously done, which I didn t want or need, from the work he would be doing to correct the issue I came in for in the first place! When asked to cancel my appt for them to finish the job and advise I had decided to go elsewhere I received a smug shrug and sorry as he walked away.

Staff is very friendly and answered all my questions which i did appreciate and still think customer service is a higher than 2 stars. Unfortunately, though, i am disappointed in the overall outcome of the service of my vehicle. I don t know a whole lot about vehicles so take that into consideration but i made a call to ask advice about the issue i was having with my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee- which was that it was randomly kicking into 4WD and the center shifter that controls 4WD was just flashing lights. We talked about it for awhile and i decided to bring it in. (my mistake for making it known that i am not knowledgeable in the area) i get a call later that day and he wants to tell me he s not 100% sure but he thinks it s my battery but he could change it and with the labor, the new battery, and an oil change it was going to cost over $300. I said i didn t want to pay for something if he wasn t sure that was the problem and then took it to Orileys to test my battery and it was FINE. So therefore i am glad i didn t give them more than my $98 that it was to check it out and change my oil.

On the evening of Wednesday, July 27th, 2017 my 19 year old son was travelling with two of his friends from Miami, FL to our home in Hiawatha, IA when I received a phone call saying his 2007 Toyota Camry was having issues. He was able to get it to a Publix parking lot in Palm Beach Gardens, FL where the vehicle ultimately died. First thing Thursday morning I contacted a local repair shop and explained my situation. He said to have it towed to his shop and he would evaluate it right away. It was determined that the alternator had failed. I advised the alternator had been changed in January, 2016. He said to contact my local shop that originally replaced it to see if there was a warranty. I contacted Ken at Klein Auto Service and explained the situation. Ken stated the alternator did have a warranty and even offered to contact the local shop directly to work out the details. By mid-afternoon Friday the repairs were made and my son was back on the road. I can t express enough how grateful I am to Ken at Klein Auto Service and Brent at Rapid Auto Care for their understanding and willingness to help in this difficult situation. GREAT SERVICE!!!! If you re not aware, it can be very challenging for a 19 year old to get a hotel room or rent a car. My wife had to jump through some hoops to locate a hotel that would be willing to provide them a room.

It s very hard to find an honest mechanic in the world that we live in but Kline auto has always proven their honesty when working on my vehicles. First time taking a vehicle here, Klein Auto will now be where I go every time I need maintenance or repair. They went above and beyond in taking care of what needed to be done at the moment and explained a future repair that could be done to get my truck idling and running better should I be interested. They've certainly got my trust after one visit.

Excellent mechanics with reasonable prices. They were able to get me in the next day after my problem. If it happened earlier in the day I might have been able to get in that day. Friendly and professional.

Ken and his employees were excellent, thorough, and when there was a problem after the repairs were made, he found it and fixed it at no charge. I highly recommend this place for any kind of car or truck repair.
