I dropped my car off for about a grand's worth of work, which was pushing my budget as it was. But after the repair they test drove my car and something malfunctioned. Long story short, it was a pretty sizable repair which would have put me in a tight spot financially. Without hesitation, the owner Chad took over and gave me a loaner car for a couple weeks while they worked on it. They never tried to make me pay for the work, he simply felt obligated to fix it because it happened on his watch. I'm fortunate to have gone to Albert Auto, can't think of another shop that would have simply done the right thing like that. Any big chain shop would have tried the usual "it's not our fault for xyz reasons, here's how much it'll cost you" bit. I talked with Chad after it was all said and done and when explaining why he did what he did, Chad says "My name actually means something to me". And about 6 months ago they fixed something for less than $100 that another shop wanted over $500 to do. Love this place, customer for life!

Edit: I know my tires were bald, I changed them myself a day after the alignment. Which didn't rectify the misalignment, lol. I appreciate the comments, but I do not feel comfortable going back given it wasn't done right the first time.Went in for a front wheel alignment and diagnostic of my check engine light of my first car that I bought used. The wheels were VERY misaligned, but I was recommended to go here by someone who used to work for them. Scheduled an appointment fairly quickly, car was finished quickly. However, my wheels are still misaligned, just less, and the car is still dragging to one side. I paid $80 just to have to figure it out myself in the end.Check engine light was diagnosed quickly and accurately, but the price quoted to fix the issue is about 1.5-2x more than everywhere else. Car smelled faintly of cigarette smoke when I picked it up, but I aired it out and it's fine now.I won't be back. Really disappointed because these guys were so highly recommended to me.+1 star for friendly front desk service.

I can't say enough good things about Albert Auto in Cedar Rapids, Iowa! My recent visit to their shop was nothing short of exceptional. Chad, one of their team members, truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience.Dropping off and picking up my car was a breeze, thanks to their streamlined and hassle-free process. This made the entire experience even more convenient. They truly understand the importance of providing a stress-free experience for their customers.In addition to their in-person service, they were equally easy to talk to on the phone. Their courteous and patient approach made it a breeze to discuss any concerns or questions I had. Their friendly and helpful demeanor certainly sets them apart.The alignment work they did on my vehicle was impeccable. They took the time to explain everything to me in detail, which I found extremely helpful. Not only did they deliver top-quality service, but their pricing was far more competitive than other places I had considered.What truly stood out was Chad's dedication to customer satisfaction. I first came here when we got an oil change at a different place and they didn't screw something on correctly, ruining a very specific part. Albert auto was able to get us in quickly and do the repair for loss than we thought it would cost.Recently I went in for an oil change at Albert auto. I had called the day before and they were able to fit me in very easily. I was in and out for that in half an hour. These people are great, well priced, and I feel better supporting them rather than a chain.

Would have been a 5/5 since the diagnostic was quick. Able to let me know the issue within about 30 minutes, and diagnostic cost was reasonable too. Where they lost points was the tech that worked on my car, was smoking in the car and it got in all the ventilation, so I have to try to get the cigarette smell out of my car.Edit- the manager said they would talk to the tech, and offered to use some of the industrial Frebreeze to try to get the smell out if I can't.

I had an appointment scheduled for Monday for a car that would not start. I had it towed there Friday morning and they were able to get my car fixed within hours upon its arrival before the weekend, way ahead of schedule. I am so appreciative of the fast service. Will definitely continue doing business with them!

Thank you ablert auto for saving my car! You guys got it in so quick with no appointment and fixed it all within 4 hours and you checked to make sure everything was good! I can't thank you enough for helping me in my time of crisis without you guys I don't know what I would of done! I will be a forever customer thank you again!

First time coming here and the experience was great! From the call setting up the appointment, to walking in the door at the shop, to the people at the desk! Everyone was very friendly and professional. The waiting room was the most comfortable car shop I ve ever waited in! And I was in and out for my oil change in about 30 minutes. Will be back again! Friendly, efficient oil change. I was asked if I would be waiting or dropping off when making the appointment which I liked. The wait was not long. Very nice clean waiting area. Definitely will be using Albert Auto for my car!

First time visit for just an oil change. Mentioned that I would need to make another appointment to have power steering checked. Was told they could check that also and they found the problem. Should have been charged more with all the work they did and was ready to go in 35 minutes. Entire staff and service are great. Even if you don't live close to Albert Auto they're the best shop in town and worth the drive! Absolutely Amazing!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I've tried many other repair shops and there haven't been any that have taken care of my cars like Albert Auto. I don't worry about them trying to add unnecessary parts or overcharging and they make me aware of other issues they find while they are servicing our cars. You will leave happy and know you have been treated fairly which is saying � lot these days.

The receptionist was so nice when I called to inquire if they could replace my battery, when I couldn't start my car in the morning for work. She said she would get me in around 12:30. I had my car jump started by AAA and was there well before 12:30. They got my vehicle in right away, and I honestly did not have to sit there very long at all. I didn't even get a chance to finish my complimentary coffee. That is how quick they were. Very friendly as well. I will go back to them if needed again.Service: Battery

They were very helpful and worked with us. I am very pleased with the work that was done, and they didn't try to"up sell" me at all. As a female I get many shops that talk down to me. Bought a car that had it's last oil change at albert auto service. On its next oil chance the mechamic imformed me the previous person to do an oil change didn't put O rings on the filter nor the drain plug. It's lucky i didn't run out of oil and blow the engine. Plus oil had leaked and splattered all over the bottom of the car. If they can mess up an oil change this badly how is the rest of their service.Service: Oil change

Little disappointed at first because I called last Wednesday to get my granddaughter's car in as she needs it for work & this Tuesday worked great for her. We got there at 8:00 & they didn't have the appointment. But wait, they got her in as soon as we arrived & told us what they found. He said it would be done between 12:00 & 2:00. He called a couple hours later because they found another issue. We told them go ahead and fix that also because she really needs her car safe for her & her clients. We thought it would take a bit longer as they had that extra issue to take care of. We were very surprised when they called us at 12:15 said it was done. Found a new shop for the whole family to take their cars to. Thanks Bree for recommending them!

The best car service in town. I went to tires plus to get my breakers fixed and they ended up finding other thing s that needed fixed and they quoted me 2699 without tax. I took it to Alberta auto and my total was 1700. A big difference. I m convinced the other place was trying to steal my money and take advantage of me. Overall, Alberts auto has never stirred my family and o wrong. They are professional and know what they are doing. It s the only auto shop I and my family gust in town. Thank you for the great service and saving me money.

I recently bought a used car off craigs list. I took it to Alberts to get the oil changed and to see if it needed anything else. It was totally worth it. They changed my oil and checked my coolant levels and, replaced my burnt out headlight. Then they did an inspection and found a few issues I was unaware of but really needed fixing. And the proce fir all that was really reasonable. Compared esoecially to my husband who takes his car to the dealer. I was broken down I used a tow service. I had my car towed to Albert Auto in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they said probably wouldn't be looked at for 2-3 days. They got to it the same day easy fix and I had my car back the next day! Very professional folks from the phone call to the service guys!

I had an excellent experience at this auto shop! The service was super and the pricing was very reasonable. It was my first time there, and they even took the time to look at a noise my car was making. Luckily, it turned out to be an easy fix, and they didn't even charge me for it. I appreciate their honesty and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. I was told by the dealership that I needed new front brakes (no rotors) and was quoted $400. I thought this was high so I looked online and found Alberts Auto had wonderful reviews. I was amazed at their pricing ($160!) and their quick turnaround. They were great to work with- they ve earned a new customer! This is the best auto service I ve ever had! Not only do these guys/gals know what they re talking about, but they will always tell you if you don t need to do some thing, and they always call before they start the repairs to give the estimate of cost. Additionally, they do great work, they re honest and fair, and I have used them on at least three trucks and three or four cars over the years! I cannot recommend them highly enough! 11.24.23 additionIt has been awhile since my original post, so here's a quick update. They no longer have the shuttle, but I still would not go anywhere else. I always feel they treat my vehicle as if it was theirs, or a family member's. Professional, polite and customer focused, and they keep my vehicle running great! I highly recommend Albert Auto!/older post /Albert Auto makes getting my car serviced a convenient and stress-free experience. They are close to both work and my home, and they have a shuttle service. Even more importantly, they understand how to gain and keep customers by providing a quality service with integrity and honesty.

Excellent and honest service! Drove in from SC with some alignment issues. Brought it to alberts and they were quickly able to figure out the rear shocks needed replaced. Completed the job the same day and for a great price. Highly recommend!
