Nice truck stop. The rest areas in Iowa always seem to have a theme and all are open all year round. I grow tired of planning my daily trip to arrive at a rest area which is closed.....California, Nebraska and Montana seem really good at this...but Iowa look after it's tired and weary traveller's.

I would give it 5 stars, but because of truck parking it s only getting 4 stars It is a really nice rest area. But there is very limited parking for trucks. Everything else about this rest area is nice. A really cool single windmill blade displayed outside the rest area. When standing next to it you really get a prospective on how massive they are. The rest area was very clean and they had information all over about the windmills. Inside was the vending machines and pretty clean restrooms for both the women and men. Outside they have benches with weird metal designed overhangs. And plenty of space to walk your dog and take a breather. This is a nice rest area, just not the best place for a lot of trucks.

Captain Ahab of Ahab's Adventures took a 'quick' nap here on our way to Boise, Idaho. This has to be the cleanest rest area we have ever been to. Not that this isn't a well known fact already about the rest areas along route 80 in Iowa, but we couldn't believe how true it really was. This rest area has a unique feature with a windmill blade towering over the place as a beacon that is lit around it at night. Tons of information inside as well. Not a bad place to take a stop if you happen to be passing through.

Every rest stop has its own unique history. But this particular rest stop also has its history as well. In this rest stop it gives you a detailed information about how they generate so much power to so many communities with the wind turbines. This particular rest stop has pictures and, a piece of the turbines as a demonstration.

The most beautiful rest stop I've ever seen. Rv dump and water fill up. There are clean bathrooms, vending machines and a nice big pet area to stretch your doggies legs.

No smoking outside at a rest area, nowhere near a building... What are the ash trays for under the signs? WTH lowa? Contradictory much? Why would you want us to hotbox our cars? Where are we supposed to let out the smoke? Nebraska or Illinois? How insane and petty is that? What did Karen complain too many times? Is she the Governor?Just don't do it... you'll get the stink eye from everyone who is jonsing for a smoke. You have been warned.

The change machine here was broken and the machine don't take a twenty, One of the guys in the office helped me buy a bear claw with the two bucks he had. Thank you who ever you was and please fix the change machine or up date the machine so it takes 18$ out of twenty when there is no cash to dispense

This rest area has a very informative educational theme about producing energy using wind technology. With a 148 ft wind mill blade on display this rest area also has an interactive playground to enjoy.

A really neat and fun rest area to visit. There are a lot of neat things to see about wind power, and numerous picnic benches and tables.

At the time of writing this, I am an employee here and we do our best to keep it clean and sanitary for visitors. Highly recommended as you get to see a wind turbine blade.

Very cute windmill themed rest stop in Iowa. Plenty of outdoor seating with picnic tables and small paths to walk around. The inside had 4-5 vending machine, not many healthy options for snacks or drinks. The bathrooms were clean but the stall doors in the women's room were probably only 5 ft tall which I found to be very strange.

Iowa Rest Stop bathroom stalls are only 5 foot tall. Clean and well maintained. The wind turbine theme is fun and interesting, including an actual turbine blade.

Very clean. Had a single stall family restroom which was helpful with my little 10 month old. My only complaints are that the changing area didnt have a safety belt (I have a squirmer) and they didnt have paper towels, only a hand dryer (unhygienic and couldn't wipe up baby messes). There is plenty of parking, covered picnic tables, and lots of vending machines inside.

Bathroom was pretty clean. Except when other people use the toilet, they place tissue paper on the seat but don t flush when they finish. I had to get to a 4th stall before I found a toilet worth using.

We usually stop here on our way down to Nebraska each year, and it is always clean and well kept. The issue I have with it is that the stall walls only come up to my neck (I'm not super tall) and that makes me very uncomfortable if there is someone else in there (which happens frequently, since this is a large rest stop).
