Do not recommend. I took my 2012 jku here for a lifter knocking. When I got it back I had it for a week and the check engine light came on for cylinder 6 misfire, so I called and Mark said bring it in and let me check it out. I took it back and dropped it off on a Sunday he was gonna look at it Monday. 8 days later I've not heard a word from him so I call and he says he replaced spark plugs and thermostat. Now I owe him $358 for work he never even called to ask if I wanted him to do it. I've never met a mechanic shop that doesn't call and say hey this is what I found do you want me to go ahead and do the work. Anyhow I pay the money and don't say anything drive the 1 hr 30 mins back home just for the check engine light to come back on within 200 miles. I'm all for supporting smaller business and local shops. If I wasn't I wouldn't make a 3 hour round trip with these gas prices. Very poor communication is my biggest complaint. 2nd would be that if they weren't sure of the problem then don't play guessing games on someone else's money.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

The rear brakes went out on my way to work this week and I called many places trying to get the issue resolved. I knew it would be a challenge for someone to get me in quickly and I needed it fixed fast. I texted Wheat's and they responded immediately. They said bring it by now and a short time later called to let me know it was finished. My rear brakes had a serious issue that required a lot of replacement parts. They took on the job, finished it quickly and were even kind enough to look at a coworkers electrical issue and they fixed that as well. I am grateful for them and will use them again for sure and would recommend. Professional, courteous and fast. Thanks Mark, Jen and all the guys at Wheat's. YOU made my bad day great!Service: Brakes

This company is one of the best auto and collision services that I have ever experienced. They are honest, thorough, and efficient. When I needed to rent a car for the week to get to work while they worked on mine, Mark loaned me his personal vehicle. I would tell anyone that Wheat's is the way to go for any of your auto care needs.

Had an experience with the owner himself. Can't say enough positive things about his character. This is one stand up business owner that I wouldn't hesitate to do business with ever. We need more people in the world who will stop at nothing to demonstrate what compassion, empathy and willingness to put people first. A+ from me and my wife

I took my car in for damage to front drivers side for estimate. I decided to let them do it from what they said.We set a time to repair the damage and how long it should take.I kept in contact with them to make sure it got done right.They were very nice throughout the whole process.I went to pick up when they said it was done but it wasn't done completely.I went back two more times after with the same result.Finally they said they would fix it the way it was supposed to be.They told me they would clean the inside up from dust and dirt tracked in.Also they would wash it outside from dust being in shop.Neither of those things were done.Just disappointed that it took so long to get it right.

I was scheduled to ring the bells and sing with my group for the Salvation Army. We have wanted to do it for several years and finally was going to get to do it.I left work in Mitchell Indiana and my truck alarm was going off. One of my tires had 8psi. I pulled into the Mitchell Marathon and aired the tire to 37. Got to Orleans and it was down to 28. I pulled into Orleans Marathon trying to air it up and by now I can hear the air and see a big metal spike in my tire. Marthon said go to Wheat's. I pulled into Wheats Service & Collison. They did not know me, but Mark Wheat said take my truck and go so I could get there on time. I was like really?? Yes really! He said I could bring it back tomorrow and he would have my truck ready.I was 2 minutes late but made it. God does put angels in our path to help us along the way. He did! Everyone was very nice. Thank you to Mark Wheat and Wheat's Collision and Service!
