I don't think I'm ever going to take our vehicles anywhere else from now on! The mechanic assigned to my car called me a couple of hours after dropoff. He had done a full inspection, and we talked about what he saw in addition to the repairs I had requested. He carefully went over the options and helped me decide which repairs were worth it and which were lower priority. Very professional and good solid advice. My 20 year old Pontiac Vibe is going to live a little longer after all :-)

Ty is Indy's Scotty Kilmer, the famous You Tube Old School mechanic. Been going to see Ty for 15 years after finding him on Angie's List back in the day when you could trust the list before the company was purchased by unscrupulous Home Advisor. Ty won the prestigious Super Service Award every year! I love taking my car to Ty. He never ever sells you things you don't need because he has plenty of business and is not corporate chain with sales goals. Every visit is top notch professional and stress free with gentle prices. Today my 2010 Toyota Avalon (I call her "Cream Puff") got new rotors, tire rotation, full synthetic oil change, bulb replacement, cabin filter and thorough car inspection. The bill wasn't high and came to under $600 and only took 1.5 hours. The wait room is big and spacious, nice customers to chat with and family feel to the very clean shop. There's even an office cubicle if you want to work while you wait. All of his mechanics are kind and professional and VERY knowledgeable. He takes all the stress away and knows his stuff.

They are as of now 10 days out to obtain service on ones car that may take a couple of hours. That is saying something good about their work, but if you are a new potential customer and need work look elsewhere for the foreseeable future like when it snows a foot on the 24 of July of any future. Where there is good service at a reasonable price, the the service center will be what it is...busy

Ty s is great! Amazing service, honest team and always have the clients best interest in mind Brandt and his team have turned me away on business many times saying you don t need to spend this yet or I would get a second opinion first before sinking xyz into your car If you want a reliable and truly honest mechanic go to Ty s. We take all of our cars here and haven t been disappointed yetWell done!

Went to the dealership for an oil change they came back with $1600 worth of work my car needed so I took it to Tys for their input. I needed new front break pads and my front control arms were loose but not dire. They explained everything to a T and their pricing around 35% less than the dealership which saved me about $1k (they fixed both control arms instead of only one quoted by the dealership). They are honest, thorough and do their work well. I feel safe driving my car again and will be using them for all my repair needs.

These guys are how mechanic shops used to be honest and reliable. But also very affordable. They don t hike their prices like others due to inflation . They get it.Best mechanic in town and always will give you the honest trust.Trust me and take your car here

Took my here on a friends recommendation. I was being quoted over $1600 for work on my car. They were up front with me about what needed done and what didn t. Saved over $1500. Highly recommend.

Amazing. Literal repair heroes in my eyes! Unexpected issue with my truck, completely not drive-able at 10am. Fixed, good to go, ready to pick up at 2pm same day. I use my truck all day everyday for work and these guys got me fixed up and back to work in an unbelievable amount of time. Very fair pricing, communicative and friendly. Completely recommend in every way! Thank you SO MUCH Ty's!!

Ty's is GREAT. We were referred to the shop by friends who have been taking their cars to him for years... and now we know why! I appreciate their honesty about cost, time to repair, and even how urgent an issue may be. We've taken two cars in (alternator for one, brakes for the other) and have been VERY satisfied. I always recommend Ty s to others in the Indy area, because I ve had such good experiences. Ty and his team have taken good care of my cars over the last few years in Indy, and I really appreciate their help. I come from a background where my dad knew everything about taking care of my car, and it s hard for me to trust others will not scam or overcharge me. When my windshield wiper snapped, I called Ty's and was greeted with kind and efficient service! Once I arrived, I was in-and-out with a quick repair in less than 5 minutes!!! Who has ever been and out of anywhere in less than 5 minutes?! I was so impressed and will definitely be back in the future. Needed a new place to take my car to get fixed and after reading all the positive reviews I thought I would try out Ty s and I am glad I did. Very affordable, treated with respect and found the cause of my car s issues without charging me for testing a million different things. Very trustworthy people. Best of all - I at last having working AC, woooohooo! I will definitely be back.

Reliable, trustworthy, even patched my tire for free it had a screw in it and I got used to just filling the slow leak every week, I had my truck in there for electrical issues, he solved them, but also patched my tire, never even mentioned it or charged me, I noticed weeks later the tire didn t leak anymore.

This is the first time I've used Ty's Automotive and I'm very impressed with their professionalism and knowledge regarding the repair of my Honda Accord air-conditioning. The service was fast and the price reasonable. Great service with reasonable prices (let's be honest, I don't want to go to the cheapest mechanic in town - good work costs money).Also never had them do any of that shady mechanic "add-on" selling, and honesty isn't something you can buy.

I let Ty know how happy I was with how he handled my weekend car trouble when I was in Indy from my home near Fort Wayne. I was thrilled that he replied to my Saturday email with encouraging words and even more thrilled that, while expecting to have to leave my car at his shop for a couple of days, his people called me fairly soon after my car was towed in to say the problem was just the battery and it would be ready that same afternoon. And, what s more, the cost was more than reasonable. I think my praise for their service should make my kids families in Indy and Noblesville want to strongly consider their business in the future.Kerry HubarttService: Battery

Can't believe I've wasted 11 years going to the dealership when there's a gem of an auto repair place like Ty's in the neighborhood.Went to the dealership on 7/14/21 and they said they could get to my car on 7/28/21. They quoted a new alternator at $700-800. I need my car for daily driving around Marion County for work and can't be without my car. I called Ty's, they said 2 to 3 days, they'd fit me in. I drop it off on 7/15/21. That evening they call and say it's finished and ready for pick up. The price was half what the dealership quoted me.Excellent service. Super quick turnaround time. If I could leave a 5 star review for Ty's each time I drop my Jeep off, I would. Their service is impeccable and their turnaround time is always impressive. I found Ty's through a neighbor that had taken his Jeep to Ty's for every service - the Jeep was a 2001. Communication is always great and thorough and best of all, I never feel like I'm getting ripped off or encouraged to make more repairs than necessary. Simply the best. You get the honest assessment and the real and necessary job(s) done right. It's hard to cover such a wide variety of makes and models but they perform with satisfaction. My entire large family has trusted our cars to Ty for decades. Accurate work for an appropriate value.

Ty and his crew are awesome. Their pricing is very fair and they're really hard workers that know what they're doing.I'm a wrecker driver w/AAA and this is where I take MY car to have work done when i don't have time to work on it myself (big family now w/very little time left for anything else). There are a number of quality shops in Indy, but Ty separates himself through his dedicated staff, excellent pricing and exceptional turnaround times.

Mix of jobs done recently- oil change, coolant flush, fender liner replaced- did good work in scheduled time frame at a fair price- will continue to use Ty and his team for future auto services

Like so many other people who have posted reviews on this garage, I found them to be very courteous and fair on my first visit. I was getting a check engine light. They told me that the cost for the light is a very inexpensive fix at about $200. But honestly they said this chick engine light is often a false indicator. They recommended that we just do a code reset and then it s likely it won t happen again. He said if I do get the light again it could be an issue but not urgent and that I could return at a later date to have the work done. So at the end of the day I got an oil change done and they didn t charge me a diagnosis fee for the check engine light.

I've been going to Ty's ever since I got my driver's license (over 10 years ago) - at first because my parents have been loyal customers for longer than I can remember, but I've stayed with them because they've never let me down! Prices are incredibly reasonable and they never try to up sell you on things you don't need. When my 16 year old car needed a new exhaust system, Ty walked me through how the different parts were going to wear out so I could replace them over time rather than paying a bunch all at once. They're great at communicating with you so that you understand what the problem is, and what to look out for in the future. My car broke down while I was visiting friends in Bloomington last night, and rather than try to take it somewhere local on a Sunday, I had it towed the 70 miles back to Indy (thanks AAA) so that I could take it to Ty's. They're the best!
