The Hire Performance Parts is 5/5 stars all day!!! Bright ones. The parts manager up there is extremely knowledgeable, he knows his stuff and he'll get you going in the right direction, Not like alot (not all but ALOT) of other Franchise Auto Part stores... I won't say no names but if your reading this you prolly know which ones. But this is Hands down my favorite Auto Part store to go to. Fair prices, Popular and Premium Brands, Alot of this here you cant get from "the other guys". I highly recommend stopping in here, I guarantee if you gotta question, you will leave if not answered, at least a better understanding or a card with a number on it. And your gonna find something that you know you need.

Went to the Lima rd store for an oil change. There were no lines, out in less than 20 min. Friendly staff. Good deals on oil change books also.

Charged $99 to confirm what my son told them was wrong. AutoZone had already diagnosed a faulty alternator and my tester confirmed it. No way their doing the same test cost that much.

I did some research on what my F-150 would need for a brake job and then started checking out some different locations for inspections and prices. I took the time to read the reviews for Hires as well as other shops. I felt i had a pretty good idea of what to expect and Hires did not disappoint. To spare the details but make the best point I can, Brian probably could have sold me something I didn't need but he didn't do that. I recently had some unexpected vehicle expenses which were not budgeted for and i didn't need more. They got me right in, called quickly with an estimate, found a minor thing that needed replaced as well and was done before lunch. I will definitely return at the next service interval! Thank you Team Hires!Service: Brakes

This store while it's been some time since I've been there to actually purchase anything automotive absolutely nothing has changed. Ordered a part online from their competitor and had to go next door to retrieve my parts and had to call the a number which was actually Hires. And not only did they not have it due to not taking online orders they didn't even offer to take care of it by offer to ordering it for me. And the manager assured me nothing was being charged to my card but apparently while not having the part had no knowledge of how the whole system worked cause I was charged and had that to deal with besides calling around again to find the part I needed. Never again. No matter how the brand themselves.

Did a diagnosis on a slipping belt noise in my engine. I didn't know if it was my supercharger belt of serpentine belt making the noise or a pulley with play oThey diagnosed it on a hour for 40$ and didn't even charge me to install the new supercharger belt for diagnosis because they had to put it back on anywaym so all in all got my car fixed and diagnosed for 160$ not bad at all . Would recommend

My experience with Joe & the entire Hires team has been nothing but AMAZING!!! I purchased a battery & they made it effortless, even insisted on carrying it to my vehicle for me and disposing of the old battery. I returned a few months later to have my rotors and brake pads replaced to again have AMAZING quality service, all the way from checking in, to the work, to waiting in their very comfortable waiting area, to checking out! They were honest, dependable & went over & beyond!Services: Brakes, Battery

I never go out of my way to write a negative review. I had gotten an alignment and they scratched my car. Of course, they didn't bring it to my attention. The employee, Brian, was very short and unfriendly! Being pleasant and having a postive attitude goes a long way when you want to retain business. Never again!

I took my car in this morning for an oil change and tire rotation.I was met with a smile by Jason and the owner.Jason got me out of shop within the hour. He was amazing.Everyone who needs ANY kind of car repairs (and who doesn't) should come here for a one stop shop. No appointment needed!!

The engine in my 2006 Ford van had 144,000 miles when it seized up. The staff at Hires located a rebuilt replacement. They successfully installed the engine, replaced the exhaust system, and repaired the brakes. The counter staff kept me advised of my options every step of the way. It was far less costly than purchasing a different vehicle in today s market. And since I am nearly 85, it will probably outlast me. Services: Exhaust, Engine repair, Brakes

Treated very poorly by service tech when I dropped off my Ford F150 for an oil change and asked to have the Neutral Safety Switch replaced as well. Tech asked in a very condescending tone "what do you mean replace the safety switch?" I explained that it sometimes doesn't start in park, but starts when I put it in neutral. Again, in a very condescending tone asked "and who diagnosed that it was the safety switch?" I explained that I researched it online and this was a common problem, and it fits all the symptoms of a bad switch. He continued to belittle me by telling me (very smugly) that they'll do what I tell them to but there is no guarantee that the switch is the problem without an official diagnosis and I will have to pay for it if it works or not. I asked how much the diagnosis is ($90) and if it is the switch do I have to still have to pay for it. Of course I do. I said to just do the work. I was never really quoted any specific amount, and I suppose I should have asked because the final bill ended up being over $200 for the parts and labor. When I questioned the cost, the tech I spoke to over the phone was equally as smug when I asked about the part to search for pricing online. He rattled off a part name really fast, and when I asked what that was again, there was a "like I just said..." response to that too. FYI...I'm being charged nearly double what this part retails for online. I've used Hires for nearly 20 years, and this is the first time I've been treated so poorly by the technicians. But it only takes once with me, and this will be the last time because I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Hires always treats my family right. They're straightforward and explains things so we can understand them. Only reason I gave them 4 stars today is because I waited 2.5 hours on an oil change. Didn't have anything to do, but I didn't ask how long it would take, either. Hires is awesome, and I recommend them to anyone who needs their vehicle repaired!

Love this place. They make it super easy to drag 3 kiddos out to get an oil change. The waiting room is great, and I rarely ever wait more than 30 minutes for an oil change. The guys at the desk are always awesome, too.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Order glass fuses online. Wrong quantity arrived. Called to correct. They sent the remaining but were the wrong type. Contacted again. Response was from the owner who said he would make sure it was correct. Nothing showed up and they stopped responding the messages and emails.I'll spend my dollars elsewhere

I have used Hires for years for both domestic and foreign cars. I have found them to be honest and charge fair prices...cheaper than the dealerships for sure. Great service...they have helped me out many times beyond what they needed to.Sometimes do have to wait quite but the waiting room is clean and nice.

Run for the hills!!!!!!! Brian the manager is very unprofessional. I drove my car in. It has not ran since. Do not bring your business to this auto shop. The responses to the complaints are fake and they are not willing to help correct their mistakes in any way. RUN. I do mean RUN FAST.4 days later---The manager commented below and left his email. Well, we had talked prior to this so he knows my phone number and contact information. These are the games that this Hires play with their customers. They are poor on customer service and the replies on this website are fake and they spit them out with no REAL RESOLUTION. That is quality of service you get at Hires. It is not our fathers Hires. It has changed for the WORST. Shouldn't he contacted me? I am an unsatisfied customer. Furthermore I have already contacted him.

Had them replace an alternator and serpentine belt in October 2020. The serpentine belt started squeaking in March of 2021 with only 6000 miles on the belt. They charged a little under $40 for the belt. It didn't last it's warranty period. I talked to them about getting a refund on the sub par belt, but they couldn't do anything because I didn't bring it back to them. Had it fixed at Belle tire. Be cautious about part quality from Hires especially belts. I won't be doing business with them again.

These guys were awesome! I'd not been able to use my A/C for a year now on my 2003 ford, because the Bob Thomas ford dealership told me that the compressor was bad and it would cost 1600 bucks to fix it, and that was just too much to spend on a 2003 car.So, driving by I saw the sign outside of Hires Automotive for $70 for a simple a/c recharge. I took it in today didn't tell them what Ford had told me, and guess what? All it needed was a simple recharge! That told me that these were very honest people at Hires Automotive, ones that I will go to again in the future! An hour and a half later, they were done and my A/C was fixed! I also then told them what Bob Thomas Ford had told me, and the Hires Technician was amazed. He said that there was nothing wrong with my compressor, that all my AC needed was just a recharge period.I"m guessing that Bob Thomas Ford had been trying to rip me off!No more! Now, all my car needs will be done with Hires Automotive!

Joe always has the parts, or can order the parts for my classic or performance needs which I work on daily. Great prices, fast shipping, and extremely good useful information about the products. Much better than ordering online and saving a few dollars only to find out it might not work.

Told me my car was going to be done in a week and 2.5 weeks later it s still not done. Very irritated they blamed me for it not being done on time because it took me a day to get back to them on what I wanted to do. Super unhappy definitely not coming back here. They also told me my battery was bad and I know for a fact is was fine because the battery brand new. (5 months old)

I called an spoke to Adam Loomis in regards to another mechanics diadnosis. He said that was a very rare or uncommon diagnosis. I took my SUV there and he was right! Saved me over $1200.00. I would highly recommend this location. Great quality work and very professional! I'm glad there's a Hires for me & my car!

I d always buy my own oil and filter and definitely never use bulk. I have a Lincoln LS and the Manufacturer recommends synthetic oil so why didn't Hires at least inform me that thier oil change didn't offer me what the Man. recommends. Also I had oil in the trunk and communicated with the service tech that I brought my own. I guess there was miscommunication on my part w the whole ordeal. I was not happy when I left tho. Also I found out later that thier technician failed to do a reset on the computer in my car. No wonder they weren't busy, that should of been a warming to steer clear of Hires Service DeptService: Oil change
