I brought my car in due to the transmission slipping. We were told it could be about a week before they were able to start work on it due to my Carvana warranty. 2 weeks passed and my husband called and they told him they couldn t find the problem. I was upset that they never called and just let my car sit there. I guess they eventually took it on a highway test drive and discovered the problem. I got no calls or updates and this ended up taking over 6 weeks. I picked my car up yesterday and the issue that I brought it in for is still not fixed. Also, my husband called a couple of times over this period and the gentleman on the phone just hung up on him before he could ask any additional questions. Im pretty understanding. I know things take time but one or two phone calls with an update would have been helpful. I m so disappointed. I went 6 weeks without a car and now my warranty is about to run out and my car is not running any better.

Took my vehicle to Tire Discounters in New Albany, IN: worn belt & alternator. Replaced the belt but not the alternator as its under warranty with Mr Transmission of Clarksville. Took vehicle to Mr T but was told it was the compressor. Took the vehicle back to TD to confirm & the master tech said it was the alternator, by sound and by touch. Mr T refused to work on my alternator & mocked TD in the process. TD changed compressor (didn't fix) then took vehicle back to Mr T to replace alternator (fixed). This misdiagnosis cost me a lot of money for a repair that would have been free. I'd expect an apology & recompense for such an error; doubt this would happen. No need to reply: I won't be returning unless it is a warranty issue.UPDATE: Mr Transmission did reach out following the review and did, in fact, refund me the money it cost to replace a part and did offer an apology! For this, I can change the star rating.

Amazing work. Had a Transmission going out and they got my car back on the road in a timely manner. The warranty they give with their work was over and beyond what I could imagine. I plan on selling this vehicle and the new owner will have some great piece of mind.

My car was at ford for an entire month and ford had still not even touched the vehicle. Ford estimated one month and still had not even put a claim in with the insurance company. It took me transmission 3 days THREE DAYS . Three days to completely take my transmission out, call easy care, easy care came and did an inspection, mr transmission ordered the part, put it in and put my transmission back into my car. This was the most pleasant experience I ve had with anything in my life! So quick and easy! If you need anything done to your transmission please i beg you to take it here rather than anywhere else. I mean seriously who can even get that done in three days ? Impeccable work Mr transmission staff KEEP IT UP!

From my experience it is clear that the guys at Mr Transmission completely take advantage of people. I took my car in to have them tell me why my car was running so rough. It seemed like the transmission was going out so I brought it to a specialist to have them tell me how much it would be to fix it. I called before I went and asked how much it was for a diagnostic. It was free so I took it up the same day. They called me about 4 hours later and told me the whole transmission needed rebuilt that it would cost around $2,100. Honestly it went right along with what I assumed it needed and the price seemed about right. When I went to pick it up I asked if I owed anything for a fluid change assuming they took the pan off and looked at the transmission. They said no it was free they came to that determination of me needing it rebuilt by test driving it that seemed fishy to me so I took it for a second opinion at Ross Bros in Jeff. I didn t understand how they could decide it needed a rebuild without cracking the pan. Anyways I took it to Ross Bro which I highly recommend everyone do before paying Mr Transmission. Turns out my transmission is totally fine no issues at all. My catalytic converter was clogged and Ross Bros was able to fix it for $800. So Mr Transmission was going to rebuild my working transmission and charge me $2,100 for no reason. Don t trust them they just want to take advantage of you. Go see the guys at Ross Bros in Jeff they are stand up guys that want to really help. * Update I guess tryin to scam me is them "doing there best".

Slow to communicate then they didn't completely put my car back together the dropped the front end but couldn't put it back together properly cause they don't have an alignment machine, car had some grunt end with that needed to be fine afterwards could not get any help from them. I'm fixing the issues days call warranty company the company says call them and have us call them, no help.Service: Engine repair

Excellent service from start to finish! My daughter broke down on the interstate. After a difficult time with Carriage Ford, Mr Transmission was recommended to me. Holly was great. She communicated with me throughout the repair process. Being from out of town, this was much appreciated. They rebuilt the transmission and was done in a timely manner. I m extremely delighted with the results of the service done by Mr. Transmission Clarksville, Indiana.Gary was extremely helpful and eager to find the most cost-effective solutions for the needed differential replacement for my car. Both Gary and Holly were great in communicating vehicles status in the process in repair.I saved a lot of money by having my Volvo XC 90 repaired at Mr Transmission. It drives better than it s driven for a long time.I would highly recommend Mr. Transmission of Clarksville, Indiana.

First off if you get a quote get it in writing. They charged me a $1000 more then the quote and said it was do to the month in between the time I got the quote and the time it took me to come up with all the money. They said it would be 5-7 days after a month I called to inquire about my vehicle left a message and it was responded with a rude call back and a hang up when she was done talking. So I finally get it back and $3500 later i the same night on the way to work I notice that the floor board is soaking wet and while driving to work the lights and gages were flickering. Very poor communication terrible punctuality and the work was apparently garbage. So I m gonna have to take it somewhere else and have it fixed because they are closed for the weekend and I gotta work. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Took my truck in to have trans rebuilt. Owner told me the synchros were directional and could only go one way but were in backwards. Trans still won't go into 1st gear and drops 5th. All I was told was if I wanted to spend more money they could figure out what was wrong. Avoid this place and save your money go to Ross Brothers.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

They were awesome. Only had my car for 2 days. Repaired a transmission that no one else would touch. Only cost @ what I expected. Then they took a credit card payment right over the phone without charging extra and delivered my car when it was done. Extremely Satisfied with this Shop!! Highly Recommend. They were very Prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly They gave me the most thorough and detailed diagnosis of my car's Transmission/Torque converter issue, hands down the best explanation I've ever gotten from a Maintenance shop on my vehicles! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had my car into a Dealership shop and I had an issue with the Transmission/Torque Converter for my Car, The dealership quoted way to high and 2 weeks lead time. I drove to Mr. Transmission and they had my car diagnosed, fixed and back to me in 2 days. I am extremely grateful and satisfied with the level of work they did and with how quickly they were able to take care of me. This is a GRET place for your Transmission work. The staff is friendly and treats all like family.Today I got got my car back for the 3rd time. When I tell you That Mr. Gray and that Holly and that whole staff is the real deal. I'm just that. Their word is their bond. I call and told them what I felt like was going on, they picked my car up and made sure everything is corrected and fixed before call me and telling me myvride was ready. I trust them and will yell anyone to call them first before you get ripped off by anyone else.#MRTRANSMISSIONISTHEBEST

Had a transmission. $3,000 kept my car for 30 days they overflow my transmission by putting too much fluid in it cost me 280.00 to have it drain put a brand new alternator on they disconnect my headlights couldn't drive until they open Monday had a transfer case put in now I need a power steering pump when I push down on my celerator I got some kind of bumping but it wasn't doing that before I took it in. I take it in for one thing and I need something else . mr Gary and staff are pretty nice I just like to be kept informed and not wait two or three weeks to hear about your carServices: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

The personnel at this location are so amazing! They are super friendly and very knowledgeable! The work they do is fantastic and good quality work. The only plight I had with the entire situation was when I went to pay for the work that had been completed. Anywhere else I get an automotive quote from, they usually over quote the price, and when I go to pay, it's cheaper than what was quoted, or they call to advise of the additional cost before completing the work. Unfortunately this is not the situation with Mr Transmission of Clarksville. When I went to pay, I found out the labor and parts were included with the quote, but there were additional taxes and fluids and setup fees that were not included with the initial cost. The final total was $500 more than the quote, and it truly felt like a bait and switch, because the work was already done. And when the owner/manager, Garry, and I were talking, he acted like this is a normal practice, and sometimes there are even higher costs added on than what were tacked on to my estimate. In conclusion, I would recommend Mr Transmission to my friends and family with the caveat of, be prepared to pay additional costs over the original estimate.

I called around to several different places getting estimates to to repair my failing transmission. I needed a complete rebuild. From the moment Garry answered the phone at Mr. Transmission in Clarksville, I knew I had found the right place. From the 1st sentence out of his mouth I knew that he knew exactly what was wrong with my transmission and exactly what to do to fix the problems I was having. He did not give me the typical run around B.S. He was polite courteous and professional. I was able to get my car in immediately, same day. The car was repaired exactly as promised and ready for the road by the end of the week, as promised, and at the price quoted up front. It would be my recommendation if you live in the Jeffersonville Indiana area to not waste time on some of the other less professional, rude, overcharging competition downtown, and simply go straight to Gary and Mr. Transmission in Clarksville and get get your transmission repaired professionally, quickly, and for a fair price. Your transmission Man, Gary I believe was the gentleman's name completely performed the ultimate job on my car. It was completed in way earlier probably than it could have been. He really got on it and got the part for it and put two guys working on it for me so that I could leave on my trip on the day I was supposed to leave. It was an emergency surgery as I call it because I work in the medical field and they did the surgery at the utmost qualified and did an excellent job. My car is completely healed and now she will be flying to Oklahoma on time thank you Mr transmission ManI also want to take a moment and say that the lady that run the front desk was so nice and professional and I really want to give a shout out to her as well.Service: Transmission

My experience was amazing. Gary stayed in constant contact with me updating me every step of the way. Henry and Gary both were honest and upfront about the condition of my SUV and what it was going to take to fix it.I picked the SUV up yesterday and could not be happier. These guys were the only one around who didn't quote me half the value of my car when it had terminal transmission failure. Everyone else I called when shopping around said there whole thing needed replaced because that particular transmission could not be rebuilt. Well, Mr. Transmission rebuilt it.. there was another issue that didn't get fixed the first time around and they honored their warranty (which was also better than anybody else) and fixed the issue and even went above and beyond to ensure it wouldn't happen later. They also did a great job on my brakes while the car was being worked on. Don't waste your time calling around, just go here and get it done right

All of the team members at this Mr. Transmission in Clarksville Indiana went above and beyond my expectations. Gary went as far as to leave a car for me to drive if I needed transportation after he picked up my car from my work parking lot. Gary listened to my comments and reacted accordingly. While rebuilding my transmission he commented that the brakes and rotors were worn. At my urging I asked him to do that repair also. And still got my car back on time ! Now that is GREAT customer service. Thank you to all of you guys (and Holly too) for a job well done.
