Although busy, Ivan was able to fit me into his schedule on very short notice for a new battery & other possible issues (it turned out to be just the battery). It was my first visit and I appreciated him accommodating me as a new customer. He is thorough in his explanations of problems, which I also appreciate, as I know he's busy but he still wants you to understand what is going on with your car. I called him on a referral from another auto repair shop who wasn't able to get me in as quickly, which says a lot if you are referred to a business by one of their competitors. He is very pleasant and professional, and I highly recommend this business.Services: Auto battery replacement, Auto battery maintenance

If you want a trustworthy mechanic just go to Ivan. I wish I had met him 10 years ago. I would ve saved so much money if he became my go to mechanic. I recently had the pleasure of using Ivan for my wife s truck and I am beyond happy with the work he did. Not to mention the money he saved me. Took my car in for a check engine light. Ivan was super friendly, detailed, and quick with fixing my car! He was honest with the services my car needed and gave very fair pricing for the work being done. Will definitely return if my car needs more work in the future

I took my car in because of a coolant leak and my radio not working. Ivan was great with calling me about my car the very same day and giving me options and pricing for the repairs. He got my car back to me all fixed in record timing. I ll never bring my car anywhere else and I will definitely be recommending Ivan any time someone I know needs repairs on their car.

I was traveling from Texas and my engine light to my car came on. I took it to Ivan, he made the diagnosis and fixed my car with genuine parts. He is detailed and honest and explains everything in detail. He found out that I had some parts replaced in my car were the wrong parts. Removed the parts that needed to be replaced and overall did a wonderful job. Highly recommend. He does the work himself which is great.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I wholeheartedly recommend Ivan and trust him with my car. Ivan is honest and never tries to pressure you into services that are unnecessary, which as a woman who doesn't have much knowledge about cars, I really appreciate. My family and I have been using Ivan for years, and I like he can usually fit you in same day for an oil change.

I had a nail in my tire and I was going to take it to a chain store that does tire repair. But given the current environment I wanted to give my business to a small business. I found Ivan s garage through a Google search and saw the reviews and thought I would take a chance and bringing my car there. I couldn t have been happier with the service I received. Ivan was wonderful to work with. He is knowledgeable in all areas of car repair and his pricing is fair and reasonable. I ve always had a distrust of mechanics but I feel that trust had been restored. I will continue to bring all of my vehicles to Ivan s garage.Services: Tires, Oil change

I called Ivan s garage to get a ball park estimate on a brake job, the price he gave was very reasonable. I brought my car in not knowing which brakes needed to be replaced, he said he would check it out. He gave me options on parts, low/mid/high grade, I asked his preference and went with that. He explained how he did brake job as opposed to other places and right then I knew my car was in good hands. He s a very knowledgeable, kind and easy person to talk to. As I wasn t in any hurry for my car to be finished, I told him to just give me a call when it s finished. I picked it up, he explained what he did, and that I only needed rear pads and rotors. He stuck to that very reasonable ball park estimate by discounting about 20 bucks. That s what I call amazing service!! I still have a little meat left on my front pads, and I will definitely be going back to Ivan when it s time for the front brakes. An absolute professional without a doubt. If I could give 10 stars, I d give 11 stars.Service: Brakes

My car was recently serviced at a different location using aftermarket products leaving my car leaking oil and my air conditioning did not work when the car was picked up. In 90 degree weather it s not reasonable to try to get around, leaving me without transportation. Searched online and saw great reviews for Ivan s, decided to give this business a try and I will truly say that Mr. Ivan is a straight forward, decent, honest man who explains what he will do and even showed me the parts taken off the vehicle. If you don t like being taken advantage of and prefer dealing with honest people, look no further YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! Get your car care needs done right the first time so that you are not spending money unnecessarily.Thank you Ivan

Mr. Ivan is very friendly and talkative. If you have any questions about your car, he is always patient in answering your questions. When he detects a problem with your car, he will take you inside his car repair garage and point out the problem to you. And you can see issues directly with your eyes. He will provide you only needed service for your car without giving you some extra unneeded service. He would also find the right car parts for you at reasonable prices on time. I think he is trustworthy and I learned some repair-related knowledge from this experienced automotive mechanic, and I will recommend him to my friends.

Ivan is the real deal fair price excellent service and a spot on Mechanic. I was dropping my wife off at Tinley Park Convention Center. When my car started smoking real bad. I researched a place and my eyes set on Ivan. I called him ahead of time he said sure bring it by. He identified the problem right away ordered a new part had delivered within 1 hour and fixed my car, gave me an oil change, replenished my fluids and some other things. I can say I was more than pleased with his service. I know this guy has to have more then 4 reviews with his quality service and years of experience.

Ivan was amazing to me and my 3 daughters! We had low pressure on our tires traveling through his town. He put air in our tires and checked all our fluids so that we could be safe for free! What an amazing gentleman! We are very grateful for the help. I can only imagine how ethical he is with his business and services to nearby residents.

I loved Ivan! He is a one man show but still managed to get my large repair done quickly. I found him very honest and sincere and his price was more than fair; far better than I would have gotten at the dealership. While I hope I can avoid any more truck problems, if I can't I will go back to Ivan's Garage.

GO TO THIS shop! I called around 9 am, car got dropped off around 4pm he got me in and my car fixed by the next morning. (Two complete brake jobs, an oil change and the wipers) which is pretty impressive on a few hours notice. pricing is great, Ivan's great, and now my car runs great.Services: Transmission, Tires, Engine repair, Brake service & repairServices: Transmission, Tires, Engine repair, Brake service & repair

Ivan is a genuine and honest man. I bought an old work truck for our local community theater to haul children's theater sets from the workshop to the performance space. I know the truck has a litany of problems and Ivan could have taken me to the bank. But he respected how much I gave for the truck and what I wanted to do with it. We fixed the immediate problems and made a list of things to look at down the road as we complete show seasons. He was fair, understanding, and did quality work. He will be the one maintaining all my vehicles for personal or business use going forward!

Ivan has been great to work with! Great prices and fast work! He took care of my 05 Acura TL oil change and replaced my belt and tensioner. He also performed a brake job for my Wife's car and oil change. Ivan is a very reasonable man, I m on a road trip from Massachusetts to California and I encountered a problem with my car; a few places told me that they had no time to fix it, but Ivan took care of it well and in no time. Ivan met me at the desk and diagnosed a dealer-caused problem with my recently bought used car. He explained the problem and how it was caused. He declined to charge me.I will be returning in the future to have my car serviced and repaired. I am really impressed by his commitment to his customers, even walk-ins (drive-ins?).Mechanics: He has so much business he is looking for mechanics

I will forever be taking my car to Ivan from now on. Great guy!! Very Honest! I brought my car to have repairs done and the 1st place wanted to charge me an arm and leg. So I went to 2 other places who were booked and wouldn't even look at my car. I brought it Ivan and he not only took and looked at car but fixed the problem for me in no time at all and the price was outstanding. Thank Ivan. I will be back!!!!

We took one of our cars to our usual mechanic since we felt the transmission was shifting sluggishly. They recommended we take the car to a dealership or other mechanic. We soon found Ivan's Garage, and he told us he didn't notice or feel anything wrong with the shifting and we only needed to change the transmission fluid. An overall very nice and honest local mechanic.

Ivan was able to fix my car problems as well as correct some that another garage in Homer Glen caused. He had me quickly look under the hood with him to show me the problem was real, showed me the old and new parts, and his prices are very good. He had my car up and running in a few hours and kept me informed of the progress along the way. I will be back in the future for everything from oil changes and headlight replacement, to serious problems. Highly recommend this independently owned shop.
