The bodyshop staff are all good people! They were efficient, courteous and kept me apprised during all phases of my mirror replacement! Dan also gave me different options of the parts available and the insurance! It was a great experience! They even vacuumed my interior, which was a pleasant surprise!Michael Simon

Worst place EVER. Bought a car from them, within a month the transmission went out. I had a warranty that they refused to honor. I went there numerous times to try to get it resolved with NO HELP at all. Ended up leaving the car there for them to deal with. A year later I'm still getting notices from finance company. IM NOT PAYING FOR A CAR THAT DIDN'T EVEN LAST A MONTH.

I had an amazing experience here. The customer service was amazing and my car was fixed in a short amount of time. I highly recommend this place if you ever need repairs. They went above and beyond. I was impressed to notice that they cleaned my car inside and out. That was a bonus for me and that really made my day. I am one highly satisfied customer!! Thanks again Kunes!! Jeff and Alma were great to work with, super easy and straightforward! My car was repaired in such a timely manner with weekly updates from the shop I didn t need to worry. Changing feom a 1 star to a 5 star!! It was a bit rough at first with pictures going missing but they made it right after some more follow up!!Keith is the MAN!! I was a bit.... let's face it, I was VERY worried about the paint color match for the new hood they were replacing under warranty. Our minivan is a metallic orange color and I know from bad experiance years ago when I was rear ended that the paint color match was a disaster. So bad so, in fact that the old body shop (not in business any more) had to fly out an engineer from PPG to match the stupid paint. Going into this , I was concerned but knew this repair had to be done (rust city). Anyways, Chrysler/Fiat/stellantis, whatever the heck they are now decided the hood needed to be replaced. Well 2 short days later I got a call it was ready for pickup (quicker than they promised). I came to pick it up the next day. It was sunny out and I was shocked at how freaking P-E-R-F-E-C-T this hook matched. It was brilliant and glorious!! The best part is: my wife is happy and that's all that matters since that's her daily driver!!Keep up the fantastic work guys!!!

Worth the drive, very professional and nice and they got it done. The dealership closer to me took 2 years to do nothing, they got it done here in about 3 weeks from the time I first had it inspected and that included waiting for approval and parts from Chrysler.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Sister came in here to get her 2012 Chevy Cruze fixed after getting in a front end hit . first off the headlight alignment is off on the side hit. As you can see in the pictures I posted, gaps are off. Headlight aim is not done and the edges are botched maybe it came like that from lkq bit it shouldn't be painted that way.Edit after posting review they got in touch with my sister and fixed the problems that where brought to there attention. Recently I sustained left rear body damage (bumper, left rear quarter panel, left tail lens) on my 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. I have previously used Kunes Auto Body, 1825 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178 for auto collision repair. I have been very pleased with their customer service, courtesy and professionalism, and attention to detail in their repairs. My first choice in getting my Tundra repair work completed was by Kunes Auto Body. I made initial contact to them through State Farm insurance. The process began with meeting Jeff who documented and inventoried the damage, produced a repair quote, and scheduled the repairs. Alma kept me fully aware of the status of the repairs, and they were superbly completed in a timely manner. I am extremely happy in the repair work completed and wish to commend the staff members who made this happen, Jeff, Alma, Dan, and Justin in the body shop. Jeff, Alma, Dan, and Justin are excellent representatives of Kunes Auto Body! They and the services they provided me are very much appreciated by me! I highly recommend them and Kunes Auto Body!Previously my 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro received damage on the right rear quarter panel. I have used Kunes Auto Body of Sycamore previously for my Tundra when the rear bumper was damaged and also for a Toyota 4Runner. I was very pleased with the damage repair on both vehicles the staff at Kunes Auto Body completed. When I saw the deep scratch and damaged right rear metal on my Tundra my first choice of having it repaired was Kunes Auto Body. Making the appointment to have the repair work done was easy and Jeff and Dan were a pleasure to work with! The repair work and painting were superbly done in a professional and timely manner! I highly recommend Kunes Auto Body of Sycamore if you need your vehicle repaired. A special shout out and thank you to Alma, Dan, and Jeff for what you have done for me! You are first class representatives of the Kunes Auto group!

Just picked up my Jeep 2 days early from a 2 month repair estimate-had to be sent back to factory after major accident for new frame. Kunes Body Shop was diligent in keeping me informed as a customer, the insurance company, and ordering parts in a timely fashion. Providing realistic expectations at the onset to avoid unexpected surprises and prepare for worst outcome. I am very pleased with the service I experienced. The original parts took a while to come in, but that is out of Kunes control. When I dropped my car off to be fixed finally, they found the parts they got in were broken. They called me immediately, were able to get the parts delivered 2 days later, and fixed my car first thing the next day. They also washed and cleaned my car which was very nice. Keith was great about keeping me up to date and informed. He also answered all my questions without being annoyed although I m sure I was! Thank you, Kunes! I will recommend you!

I have only used them once so far but not happy that they painted over a particle and just left it in an obvious spot on the front bumper. They also left a scuff mark on the front fender from the collision. Everything else looks good on the repair. I m hoping the quality of work has not declined since they took it over from Bemis. I ve had several repair jobs completed by Bemis and they always did an excellent job. UPDATE: I returned to Kunes Auto Body for a separate dent repair, a repair of a defective door/window molding that was coming off after they replaced it, no big deal. Keith was great! The dent was repaired along with another small one that I didn t notice in the same area, the molding was replaced, and the paint imperfection on the front bumper was taken care of. The car looks beautiful and I m very pleased. Thank you Keith for your excellent work and outstanding customer service! I very much appreciate it!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

10/10 would absolutely recommend them for body work and painting to restore damage. The team is A+ they are organized, efficient, friendly, and straightforward! They keep you informed throughout the process. Received my car back very very clean. Wasn t expecting that at all. Their detailing was outside and inside. Jeff, at Kunes knows his craft. He is the best at auto body repair then anyone I've known. Only uses the best quality parts not the after market stuff. I think that they did a great job on my car! They were very friendly coming in. Alma introduced me with a smile and even called enterprise for me to make sure my rental car was coming. This shop does quality work, no problems at all. I will use them again if I need body work done. Like every business they are short staffed for specific jobs. The body work took 1-2 days beyond the original timeline so not too bad but not ideal.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Had two cars get totaled recently. This shop was recommended from my insurance as it was closest to the area of the car accidents and work with my insurance directly. I understand everybody is short staffed and busy right now, but customer s are what give you a job. A little friendliness and being a little more courteous to customers as well as communication goes a long way. This staff doesn t have these skills, they were more rude/annoyed to deal with us than anything. Would not recommend anybody use them, at least at this time (Feb Mar 2023)

My Civic needed some paint work on the door, and when I stopped by Kunes Auto Body of Sycamore late October, Keith met with me and inspected the damage. He was transparent with me throughout the process, and he worked with his team to service my car that week. Keith even taught me a few details about taking care of touch-up paint, and he helped me in ordering a brand new pen that was the correct color for my car! After a very disappointing vehicle purchase from the Kunes Sycamore CDJR dealership, I was put in contact with Keith in the body shop to make some things right on the vehicle including a new tailgate, tail light and windshield.After some delay in getting the parts (Not shops fault), Keith and I set up a time that would work for both of us as it is a 3 hour drive from my home to the shop, he arranged for the loaner from the dealership and had me back on the road in my vehicle within 2 days. The vehicle looks better than it did when I purchased it!I really want to express how professional everyone in the office was during this process. I would recommend them to anyone.
