OUTSTANDING! This is the only dealership I recommend to purchase a car Springfield, IL. Fantastic service and genuinely great people. Brian and his wife, Katie, are amazing. I can t say enough positive things about how wonderful and smooth the car buying process at Robert s Automotive went. The people at Robert s went way beyond what I expected. Brian didn t pressure us in the slightest bit. He walked us through the car (ann electric) and answered all our questions and concerns with detailed answers. Customer service is important to me, as is buying local, and here you get both. Again, there was NO pressure from the staff to buy unlike other dealers I ve dealt with. Highly recommend Robert s!

Thank you, Dr. Bob and Mike for diagnosing and fixing the problem with my 79 Mercedes 240D! When I was traveling through Springfield IL, experienced a problem with my car and Robert s Automotive through Google. Mike answered the phone and was ready to help instantly. Mike and Bob, despite their busy schedule of repair appointments, diagnosed and fixed the problem expeditiously within a few hours. The entire staff was nice. The waiting area was great! Dr. Bob also offered guidance advice on taking care of my classic car. Thanks again!

Last fall, Hurricane Ian caused significant damage to two of our vehicles. Being a family of six, we had specific requirements for our vehicle needs, as well as a limited budget. Fortunately, we came across a vehicle online at Roberts Automotive that met our criteria, and Brian from their team went above and beyond to assist us in finding the second vehicle. Purchasing a vehicle from a distance of over 1,100 miles can be incredibly nerve-wracking, especially when dealing with two vehicles simultaneously. However, Brian's communication throughout the process was exceptional, providing us with clear and consistent updates. We are extremely satisfied with both vehicles and grateful for Brian's dedication and support.Recently, we encountered some service needs for one of our vehicles and reached out to Brian for assistance once again. True to form, he was highly responsive and guided us through each step of the process with utmost patience and clarity.

Remember how it felt when you sat in and settled into your brand new car? After having my 2014 Hyundai Azera detailed at Robert s Automotive- it made me fee that way again. Like it was brand spanking new! My ride was beautiful inside and out. Service records show that the cooling system and brakes were done in February 2022, with just under 74,000 miles on the odometer. First thing I had to have done was a coolant hose, and that was with less than 80,000 on the odometer. The brakes also went prematurely, and it doesn't look like they used any anti seize on between the disc and the hub. For a car in Illinois.Edit: The customer service at this place is top-notch. Brian called me after seeing the review to investigate. He discussed the car with me and was able to clear up some questions I had about its history. It's clear that if I were in Illinois, I would have been able to claim a warranty on the parts, even though I was not the customer for whom the work was performed. That's always a good thing to look for in a shop.

Brian helped us transport our new car from Georgia while we were driving to Illinois from the West Coast. We were always able to reach him, and, if he didn't know the answer to a question, he called us bask as soon as he found it. He had the car ready and waiting for us when we arrived.

Brian went above and beyond for us when we bought our Tesla here. When I wasn't able to make it there until after work he and his staff stayed late to accommodate my schedule. Everyone was extremely friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed for the car including a new set of tires and both charging plugs. Extremely accommodating!! Will refer others here in the future!

I recently moved to Springfield to accept a job and happened to stumble across Robert's Automotive while searching for a new vehicle. The salesmen were very helpful in finding my dream vehicle at a price that I was comfortable with. They were not pushy and made the whole experience the best car buying experience I have ever had. I would recommend that anyone looking for any car go to Robert's Automotive, it will be the most comfortable car buying experience you have ever had!

Roberts Automotive is top notch at everything they do. We have purchased 3 vehicles from them and recommended them as a dealership to multiple friends and family. They are knowledgeable in the vehicles that they sell, always attentive to details with the vehicles they sell and their service department is second to none when it comes to any repairs you may need or scheduling recommended maintenance for your vehicle. A local company that you should check out if you are looking for a great used car and the great service after the sale that you expect and deserve.

Excellent experience. Left car for full detailing service. Very happy with the results. Their complementary shuttle service was very helpful in getting me to work and back. Courteous staff. Highly recommend. I will be using them again.

Could not find anyone to change the oil in my new Audi, that I did not purchase in Springfield. Another oil and lube company suggested Robert's so I made appt for the following day. Everyone was nice and very knowledgeable about my car. Did take over an hour but nice waiting room area.

I had a very positive experience last week. The back story is that a few days ago I was given a very clean, gently used, but older Mercedes S class. It had been driven less than 1,000 miles in the past four years. The KBB value for private party sale is $4,100. I did not have thousands or even hundreds to put into a nice but free car. I needed to drive this 1000 miles the next day. I knew it needed an oil change and their price for full synthetic was just a little more than if I bought the materials myself. I like value and the price was right. When I dropped it off, Dr. Bob (later found out he is the Robert in Roberts Automotive) came out from the back to meet me. He was very complimentary on the model and condition the car was in. As we talked and I briefly told him my story and the fact that I was leaving at zero dark thirty in the morning for NC, he suggested I get a diagnostic test ran on it. I told him no matter what it says I can t get it fixed. I love this car but it would just sit here in IL until I could get it shipped to me. He explained the many benefits of running the tests and what that intel could show regarding future issues and resetting any currently glitches that it may have.I opted to allow this very reasonably priced service and off I went to breakfast. Within 45 minutes of leaving I got a phone call from them suggesting I get a new air filter and battery. When I got back to pick up the car I asked if I could make it to NC without a new air filter and battery and they assured me that I would be OK.I made it back to NC, ordered an air filter, installed it myself and will be getting a battery installed this week.I was so pleased at the attention to my needs rather than them trying to just make a buck. They knew I was not coming back to be a repeat customer yet I was treated as if I had brought in many vehicles for service and purchased all of them from Roberts.I would highly recommend Roberts Automotive in Springfield, IL to anyone and everyone. I wish I still lived there so that I could take it there for service.

They performed both mechanical as well as detailing on all three of my vehicles, including a Rolls Royce and a Porsche 997 S. Great customer service, fair prices, and they stand behind their work! Service on spot with timing on repairs & reasonable prices compare to auto dealership. Only downfall not abiding by indoor masking. As a customer I have no idea if all or any employee is fully vaccinated, along with other customers who were present without a mask. I am vaccinated and wore my mask. As a nurse, I do not understand auto workers ignoring safety & science...along with public health guidances. This is why it will be a long time before this pandemic is over. This also the reason for less than 5 star rating.

Great friendly staff. James always knows how to take caree of you. When you walk in your always greated. Very clean customer area. I hate car dealerships because salespeople a always piss me off but t his place doesn't push you when your looking, knowlegable about what needs to be done and they will beat the bigger dealership prices.

I have taken my cars to this shop for awhile and had decent service albeit a little more expensive. The most recent visits were on my Mercury Milan that was acting odd in various ways. The final visit, I had to have it towed since it would not start for me. They said they would do a diagnostic on it. Their comments included such things as it possibly jumped timing, there was 0% compression on 3 of the cylinders, and would probably be best to get a new engine with how bad it sounds.One thing that I was not informed about was that there was little to probably no oil in the engine. I do not know what a diagnostic means at Roberts, but to me it means checking fluids. Could not having oil in the engine caused 0% compression? Maybe.If I cant rely on an automotive shop to check something as simple as oil levels, but still charge me $99 for a diagnosis, I cant take my car their anymore.

I was south of Springfield on a Friday with a sudden critical issue with my older CL600 - had driven from Atlanta just that morning. Mike worked me in late Friday afternoon, with no appointment, tested my hydraulic pump; checked for leaks, refilled fluid, sold me some spare fluid, and I was on my way feeling much better by 5 PM. It could not have been a better, more professional experience.Back to Atlanta a few days later; the hydraulic problem did not recur. Thanks again!
