Was traveling down to Champaign, IL this past weekend when I ran into some car trouble. Pete and his sons stayed open after hours on a Saturday to help get replacement parts and repairs done on my car. They were transparent and affordable! Really appreciate their work. Highly recommend!

We took our car there to get work done. We had front shocks put on and brakes and rotors put on. He gave us a fair price and had him start as soon as he could. I feel that he is honest, and he kept me informed. He showed me all that he fixed and why it had to be fixed. I will continue to use him for all my car needs. They are a small mom and pop shop. And I don't think you will find better service elsewhere. So please give him a try. You won't be let down.

Got a 2014 dodge ram 1500 by the young mechanic doing great welding a exhaust work. Great deal compared to other shops in rantoul / Champaign area. Good work and even was updated on everything as it went. Thanks!!!

This shop was very helpful when my daughter's car broke down on I-57. They stayed open after it was towed in to diagnose the problem and then helped me the next day when I came to tow it home.

I was driving South on Interstate 57 when I started to have mechanical problems with my car. I got on Google and found the nearest mechanic hoping they would be helpful. When I got there they got me in immediately and had me back on the road in 15 minutes. They really saved my butt and were friendly while doing it. I ve used this mechanic twice now. Their business is family owned and operated, and I ve had the pleasure of dealing with both the father and the sons, of which all three are just wonderful! They are so friendly, welcoming, and polite, and all three of them have a vast knowledge of cars. Their prices can t be beat, as well as their speed in getting you your vehicle back. I came to them today leaking coolant, and they had me in and out in an hour or so. They made a special trip and picked up the parts I needed instead of waiting for the parts dealer to deliver them, showed me where the wear and tear was on the housing unit and hose they were about to replace for me, replaced them, then double checked everything and had my car idle for some time just to make sure everything was working properly. I highly recommend supporting this local business to anyone looking for fast and friendly service, competitive prices, as well as someone who will explain and show you what needs to be done and why so you can understand it! I had a busted brake line, they did what they could to fix it (on short notice and rather quickly), and still charged a very reasonable price. They were all very friendly and still professional. Will definitely bring my car back if needed when in town.

Outstanding service! Pete and his team are an honest group of professionals who do an excellent job. Case in point, My car would not start in a Saturday morning. Called my roadside assistance and got a jump. The tech tells me it is the battery. I get it to parts store, they hook it up to their machine, they say it is the alternator. I buy alternator. Take it to Quality Mufflers and Brakes. Pete looks at it says it is the battery, and then shows me why he thinks that is the case. Puts in a new battery and I was off! Saved me at least $50!!!! Great work by him and his team! Highly recommend!

This family is the most genuine and honest people you could take your car to! They can do just about anything and they'll tell you if they can't. My husband and I and his family have taken our cars here for years and I highly recommend them!

I got my resonator taken out. Totally messed up the welding back part. Took it back to them and they denied service saying their already too booked up even though we agreed on the time. Not it is going to cost me more money to get it fixed at another shop. Not professional and horrible customer service. Their reviews are written by their own family and are mostly fake.Service: Exhaust

My wife and I were driving to the Chicago area on a Friday night when our car broke down on 57 near Rantoul. Our insurance company ended up having the car towed to a different place that was supposedly open on Saturday. Turns out only the office was open. So we had the car towed to Quality Mufflers & Brakes. They are supposed to close at 1pm but they said they would wait for us to show up to pick it up once it was done (it was about a 2 hour drive for us). Instead of taking us to the cleaners like other places would have done, they determined it to be the battery. He noticed it was from Auto Zone, called them up with the battery information. The battery ended up still being under warranty. He took the time to drive over, swap out the battery, and run a few diagnostics. If it wasn't for Quality Mufflers and Brakes, we would not have gotten our car taken care of until Tuesday at the other place! Thank you so much for saving the day! This place does very HONEST work! You are a human being, not a number here!

They charged me $700 just in labor. They never fixed my car. They removed a working catalytic converter and did not replace it. Most of the positive reviews are his friends and family. Never use this guy.

I had no complaints from this shop before today, I bought a used tire 3wks ago and I caught a flat today. I called to see if I could get a discount on another one because I only got 3wks out of it. I was told its a used tire and there are no warranties on used tires thats understandable but have some common courtesy your used tires are $50.00 I was not trying to get a free tire but if she would have taken 10 - 15 dollars off she would still have me as a customer. I have had my car worked on on time before and had no problem given them the 400.00 that I was charged....but I will never go back

I had my breaks done here. They are fast and reasonable priced. Better then the other places that charge you an arm and a leg for issues you never had.

This guy scammed my sister in law for 4 brand new tires. He overcharged and put the wrong size tires on her car, then refused to make it right after she showed him they were wrong.DO NOT GO HERE!!!
