I needed my muffler and converter checked last minute before a long drive to Ohio. Everywhere else was booked out 1-2 weeks in advance but Speedy 1 Mufflers and Breaks helped me the same day. They could not be more polite and professional. Also the price was so reasonable for it being last second that I was floored. Highly recommend them!!!

Speedy 1 never again don t not go to them .. how I take my truck to get my emergency brake fixed now my car leaking fluid when I just got that same piece fixed last year car started smokin then took it bck sayin it was the piece I had already got it fixed n it s still leakin

They fixed my wife's A/C and put a new muffler on my car for a very affordable price. This place has the most affordable service in town and the lady in the office is an angel! Will definitely be coming back for all of our repairs.

The gentlemen that worked on my car was so polite and communicative. I came in as a walk in. My exhaust snapped off my muffler. He brought me back to look at my car to show me what he d be working on and was extremely transparent about the job. They got me in right away. He also saw there was a spot farther up my exhaust that looked like it wasn t far from a leak. He told me he could do it all at once or I could wait on the second repair. I really appreciated him giving me a choice in the matter and not making me feel like my car would blow up if I didn t get it fixed immediately.I did it both same day because the pricing was phenomenal. I was done in an hour. As a young woman I have had many awful experiences with car shops but this was not the case. Amazing service and company. Can t recommend enough.Service: Exhaust

Pleasantly surprised. For a business in an old, run down building in a deteriorating part of town (though that explains most of Decatur), with a messy lobby, and that opens their doors 40 minutes late despite me having an appointment, they did a good job with my car. They are affordable and definitely fast.

I've come to this place now 4 times to have random things fixed on my car. From fixing my entire exhaust pipe, my breaks and now my wheel barring they always do a fantastic job at it. Their pricing is super cheap compared to anyone else in town, and the mechanic will first hand walk you under your car to show you why what needs to be fixed. Aside of all that, they also will fix things right on the spot and you don't have to wait for days to get an appointment. They do not take advantage of people who don't know things about cars. Whoever left that review must have been competition. Because I know NOTHING of cars and have compared their prices to other mechanics. They've never ripped me off!10/10 really.

These guys do great work, and it won't break the bank. Anytime I need exhaust work done I go to speedy 1. Also they are a small locally owned business,and with everything going on, we all should be supporting our neighbors.

My friend took his car in to get the exhaust fixed. After being given the wrong quote, he went in to the shop while they were working on his car and found that they had cut his catalytic converter off. This was not part of the job they were suppose to do. They were not planning on telling him and we're more than likely going to sell it. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone and if you do take your vehicle there make sure when you get it back you make sure your catalytic converter is still there

This place is a complete rip off unfortunately ! I paid for new brakes and rotors and all around, after picking up my car from the shop the brakes were still grinding they told me it would take some time for them to adjust, after a week still was doing it, Now they say I have a bad whee barring okay i got that fixed, Car still grinding so I took it somewhere else turns out they never even changed my brakes or rotors they lied thee entire time. I will never ever do business with this place again!Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair

Been here quite a few times for our family's fleet. Good work, timely, decent prices. I have no complaints. Honest work. They are my go-to for most vehicle repairs.

Super-friendly, nice, affordable & family-run. Parts may not be 100% OEM and hence may not last quite as long, but the prices are *so* much lower that it's a great alternative. I drive all the way from Chicago and usually bring authentic Pozole (soup) for the owner. :)

They lifted the car to show us exactly what was wrong. And explained what needed done. When finished, he took us back under the car to show us what he did. He expressed he wanted to make sure we understood cause most females feel taken advantage of when it comes you car repairs.

Went in for a oil change. They are under staffed. Was told to come back in 2 hours. In their defense they are first come first in with no appointment required.

I am so happy that I happened across this place. They are honest and fair and in today's world and the nature of the business I have been fleeced by prior mechanics. I guarantee I won't be shopping around
