Expedient and friendly. I got my DL renewed at this facility and was greatly relieved. No long lines. Easy check-in and greeting. Very patient with me when I misunderstood, misheard, or had questions. Whole process took less than 10 minutes. A great facility to access for drivers and vehicle services.

Everyone else in DMV was nice other than the slightly old black lady with a bun who mainly processed my appointment. She was extremely rude and condescending, and she kept talking to herself about me and my reasonable formal questions to her in an agitated mood. She thrown away all the application I made because of a issue with car license . Other nicer staff took over my application and at least gave me the written test by taking my documents back from the recycle bin. All was included in my made appointment but she was extremely confused about her job.

Came for my permit and driving test. The lady with glasses is so kind and the other lady with bight pink braids r also so energetic and encouraging! I specifically want to thank Laura for her kindness and great sense of humor. I definitely had a very pleasant test experience here.

The woman at the information desk is rude and has a nasty attitude. I went in to ask one question and she was just unpleasant for no reason. She suggested I go to Rantoul DMV and I gladly will if it means never seeing her again.Btw your plan to spread your misery failed grandma, my day was still awesome and you re still you.

I walked in to the DMV about 35 minutes before they closed. I spoke with an amazingly kind and patient woman at thr information desk. She personally walked over to the main desk for drivers services to see if they could take a walk-in, and they could. The man who took my picture was so kind, and funny! I couldn't believe they'd take me in that late in the day, with no appointment. Within SECONDS after taking my picture, my number had been called. The woman who took my information was pleasant, kind, and efficient. She had me in the line for the cashier within 3 minutes. The woman running the register, and printing my paper license, was warm and nice, and so, so professional.Honestly, this whole experience was the best one I have EVER had at the DMV (anywhere). I hope they all know how grateful I am for the help they gave me today. I'm just so appreciative of them!

We had an appointment and it only took less than 20 minutes for the whole process! So rewarding! Needed a license replaced, and the second we walked in the door, an employee greeted us and walked us over to the counter we needed to be helped at. 5 stars for all the improvements they've made over the years.

Most employees there are extremely rude & I've seen them be outright racist and rude to non English speakers. Lady at the front desk is especially rude. Better off going to another DMV

I had a terrible experience at the Champaign DMV today. The employee handling photos and another person named Scott were friendly, but a lady named Gerry (or something similar) was extremely rude.I had a 4:30 PM appointment, but their system skipped my assigned number. I waited for two hours in vain. When they realized the mistake, they directed me to Gerry, who was quite aggressive. I greeted her politely, but she didn't respond. Impatiently, she tried to rush me out, assuming I didn't have an appointment. Another employee who witnessed the situation clarified that I did have an appointment, but my number had been skipped. Unfortunately, since the office was about to close, no one could assist me, including Gerry. Her attitude was unpleasant, but I won't go into all the details. She truly ruined my day; she must be very unhappy herself.I also noticed that they treated international individuals poorly. This is a college town, and there are many international students here. It's important to treat people with respect.I hope they read this review and work on improving their behavior. If you had a positive experience there, consider yourself an exception. An exception indeed.

Great quick service. Almost everyone was pleasant and friendly.Drivers license services require appointments that open on their website in the morning at 7am.Vehicle services are walk in.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. Save yourself the humiliation and waste of time and go to Rantoul DMV instead!Finally after my fifth time coming here I manage to get my license renewed - I came here the first time they didn t accept my documents- I came another time with all documents they said Im still missing one- I came another time they said you need an appointment no walk in- I tried booking an appointment with the qr code they gave me it says no appointments available, I came here to tell them it was not working they told me I need to check it before 7am- I tried booking before 7 am it still DID NOT work, It says NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE. I came here at 8 AM before they even were open to tell them I still can t book one please let me in they refused. Someone on the counter helped me book an appointment at 10 am, I am now trying to get there before waiting for another 2 hours after my fifth attempt!This is insanely annoying, people there are very mean and disrespectful.

Efficient and super friendly workers. Downside is that this place is wayyy over staffed. Our tax dollars are being wasted on government buildings like this.

I went there to get my driver's license, and the process was smooth. The people at the counters were really nice and helpful. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4-star is because the lady at the entrance was very rude and impatient. She barked at me, asking for documents, scrutinized every piece of paper I had, jumped to conclusions a couple of times, began to vociferate, then realized that everything is in order and let me in with an air of disappointment.

Yes, you will need to make an appointment for non-title issues. Sure, I can see that being annoying. I walked in with a complicated title issue. Staff were incredibly, incredibly nice and helpful. We needed to fix some things in our legal paperwork, so I came back later in the day with things rectified thanks to the DMV staff's prior advice. It was much busier at this time. Staff was still incredibly, incredibly nice and helpful. Everything was completed smooth as silk in under five minutes once my number was called. I watched the same great treatment served up for several other patrons firsthand, with a diverse group of ethnicities and backgrounds among those patrons. I'd been put off by the low Google rating of this office for years and gone to Rantoul instead. But at least in my own experience so far, I would say the folks at Round Barn are pretty great and I wouldn't ever hesitate to go there again.

i actually had no issues. finding an appointment was actually the longest process honestly, as there were none available for months. the staff i encountered there were really friendly, although you can tell that they are feeling the strain of being understaffed.they were very helpful despite me having a very complicated request. my voter's registration card was in my wallet that was stolen, and so they also helped me to get a new one.all in all, not bad. was in and out in 40 minutes.

I used to a bad impression by the google reviews and the written test I took years ago. This time I have title related issues and walk in without appointment. Got called in 5 mins. The lady at counter 7 was helpful and patient. My title issue was complicated and I forgot to mention my name was spelled incorrectly in original title. She had to redo all the things without complaint. In and out in 35 mins.

I went into the Champaign IL. DMV office, in person, last week. I tried to explain that my license plate was suspended and would like to show proof of insurance. The insurance company also sent the office proof of insurance. All the person did was print out a Suspension letter and sent me away. This evening I was stopped again for the same suspended license plate. Please let me provide proof of insurance and take the suspension off my license plate. I have had insurance for the car since August 2023.

Road test tips below. This is the place to get DL without social. be prepare to spend sometimes here as their service are not so quick with some chit chat between the staff and some the staff are not really helpful except for Brenda, which I think the most helpful one.for int'l student, in some cases they need to verify you to dhs through the SAVE. although the SAVE system verify you almost instantly (google it to check your case status), you need to wait for the letter from the state office in your mailbox before you can comeback and proceed.Quick tips for driving test: beside all the road sign you must obey (stop sign MUST stop COMPLETELY), they will take you to school zone which you MUST SLOW DOWN to 20mph, keep in mind NOT to step on the bike lane, they will also ask to park on the curb side of the road and going reverse from an alleyway to the street. see Illinois rules of the road for the proper way to do that.

Excellent experience ... once I got my appointment. I was there also yesterday, but they sent me home that I didn't have an appointment. Made one for today and it was perfect. That is fair, although they should make it crystal clear on their website when people check addresses that they need an appointment. And in the letters they send you home.

Something strange is going on here. I came in with an appointment (which is now required for everything except vehicle registration/renewals) and informed the front door staff. They started interrogating me and demanding documents in a rude fashion without even verifying my appointment.Once they determined those were sufficient, I was told to wait for a photo but the staff member seemed confused why I was there.The rest of the appointment was great and everyone else was helpful with getting my address changed!I think the front staff need to be more friendly and ease off on the vetting, or at the very least look up the appointment first.

You better make an appointment before you come Fam, otherwise, be patient . Would you believe if I tell you that I had to wait more than 3 hours, and when they finally called me, the system was closed.And check all what you d need to bring with you.

On several occasions I had to go to this office, my experiences were very bad, but this last time I was attended by a thin lady with glasses and her attention was excellent. It is important to mention that the day I went there was not the black woman at the entrance, thanks to this my experience was very good, do not argue with her, she is a classless person.

I had a very pleasant and efficient visit! The tall gentleman with the pink shirt and gray hair at the entrance was very kind, as were Scott A. and Peggy at the counter.I also needed to update my gender marker, and the staff did not once make me feel out of place or misgender me. Pink shirt in particular was very tactful. These experiences as a trans person can often be humiliating or dehumanizing, so it was meant a lot to just be treated like a human being.All in all, I was in and out within 45 minutes with minimal issues. Just make sure you check the website before you show up and bring everything you need and it should go smoothly.

I had the most unpleasant visit today. Begining with the doorman who was extremely rude and entitled. My son and I came from 2 hrs away to present the documents they asked us for last time however they now told us that without appointment they couldn't help us (this was never mentioned last time).They treated us like we were idiots, and it is quite frustrating when people take advantage of their position because people need a service from them. This really should be looked at because not only was the doorman very rude but also the manager. I have never been treated this bad before and it makes me question who looks after these services since this is unacceptable.

Admittedly there's one unfriendly employee but most of the ladies there are professional and helpful
