Honest Team did a good job fixing my GMC. I like how they look at everything and make recommendations on what is needed. Especially since I would like to keep this truck for a few more years. Gives me peace of mind that my vehicle will be running well for years to come.

Mechanics doing fraud when I told to them that is oil is leaking and engine oil pressure on dashboard they said simply we will check we do diagnosis first. But they sent me quote of engine oil leaking part and remaining stuff. I thought the problem was resolved and I paid and took the car. But after after 1 hr of driving the same issue was coming on dashboard I went back and asked them. They told me simply oil leaking is different and oil pressure is different. When mechanics testing my car they know that but they didn t said to me because it too high price to fix it. They charged me for the first one and second quote was to high. Honest is not honest

I have been to Honest - Auto Care several times before, but this time I didn't have a good experience. A gentleman called, saying we had to open the brake parts, etc., to diagnose the problem. I initially agreed, but then I changed my mind because my car is pretty old. I called back in less than 5 minutes, but the gentleman was not available. The person on the phone, I told him, Don't open the parts; I don't want to repair it because the diagnosis itself was $319. After about 15 minutes, I got a call back from original guy saying, We already started work; now you will be charged. That guy made me feel like I made a grave mistake of changing my mind and kept saying, 'This is so not good.' I ended up paying a prorated charge of $79 for just nothing. So disappointed!!

Paid over $500 for an oil change and new battery. Charged us a $30 diagnostic fee even when we knew it was the battery. Charged $270 for a battery! They never told us the price. Wouldn t let me use a coupon off the website either. I was a ride or die honestone customer because we were always taken care of but I went to another (very well known) shop and they said it would have cost around $350 to do the same things. Took over a day to get my car back. I will not be going to honest one anymore.

After the initial brake inspection, they stated that it would cost several thousand dollars to put on all new rotors and pads, bleed the line, and two new calipers. They also said there were many other issues, but I had just installed a new engine two weeks prior, and all of these items were checked on by the engine repair shop. I told them this but they failed to listen and said these issues were major. Regardless, I pushed back on their price. They offered me another price that still wasn t great. I eventually got the van back and started to replace the brakes myself. They had not even taken the calipers off as they had stated in the report that they sent me. They also got grease on the ceiling of my interior cabin and never reinstalled the engine air filter hose or clamp. They lied in their report and then didn t even complete putting the engine components back together. I have no idea why this place has such good reviews. Not honest at all. The only redeeming moment was that they refunded me the charge for the inspection .

Well for starters they heard a female and definitely got over on me! A diagnostic is supposed to one set price no matter if you can t find the solution! But no they kept telling me one thing 49.95 then it 159 for the next diagnostic, then 207 for a further diagnostic! Needless to say I stopped at 159 because let I been a man! It s one price and that price goes towards the fixing. That s anywhere. They played me and i still don t know what s wrong with my car! Ladies please take a male with you to any shops

So I'm a mechanic myself but my car broke down and I could not get back to where I needed to to fix it so I came here which was a complete waste of time. If you want to get taken advantage of come here.. All I asked them to do was change the power steering pump and the pulley And they tacked on all these other things that they wanted to do that I didn't ask them to do so they could get more money out of me but what they didn't understand was that I am not a rookie I know what I'm talking about I'm not a person who just goes into a mechanic shop and says hey there's something wrong in my car I need you to fix it It wasn't like that at all I told them exactly what I needed them to do to fix it and they still try to charge me.. I will never use them again in my life

EDIT:A screw from my cabin filter replacement was left on my passenger car mat, attention to this detail deserves more attention...am I now responsible for putting the screw back in? After paying 50$, WHAT???I also found my oil cap off when I opened the hood a month after my oil change and filter replacement. Go somewhere else....for my $150 plus bill, hard NO

I brought a used car I was looking to buy for an inspection. They fully accommodated me, moving around other appointments due to the time sensitivity. Angel and team did a very thorough job, taking pictures of all areas of the car, especially where there were concerns and walked me through them when completed.As good as they were, the price was right, far cheaper than a few other places I spoke to (but couldn't handle a same day walk in).Everything about the experience was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I live in CO and I was trying to buy a car for my mom in IL. I spoke with Angel and he was so understanding, honest and professional. He performed a pre-purchase inspection with photos and video OUTSTANDING!! and informed me that this car was not the vehicle for my mom.. I would recommend this shop for anyone who wants a honest opinion about maintenance, repairs or pre-purchase inspections!! Thanks so much! I truly appreciate all your help!!

Nice guys, decent service, but holy hell their prices are insane.Wanted almost $900 for new tires. Went down the road and got them just under $600.All of the things I declined that they said had moderate to severe urgency totaled to almost $6,000. Got two other opinions who said it should be about $3k max and besides the tires, nothing was really severely urgent.Not sure what the new management is doing but it feels a bit like price gouging over there now.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Honest-1 is such a personable place and nothing like the other auto places! I just got my oil changed, but they give a full inspection so you're not missing out on anything that needs your attention! A few of my neighbors have been going there for years and I'm sure to stick with them as well!

Friend brought her vehicle in for AN OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION. One of the service advisors called her about issues to her vehicle that needed "immediate" attention. She repeatedly turned them down, and they continued to push and push for these repairs. It made her very uncomfortable that despite saying NO multiple times, they were still trying to force these repairs upon her. We have brought it to another REPUTABLE mechanic, and he agreed that these were not repairs that needed to be done immediately. No means no, and I wish that this shop would understand that.

Had multiple issues with axle and wheel bearings of my 2008 Nissan Altima car. Have been experiencing issues with shaking and other indications from long but my past car servicing contact had either not identified the issue or even if identified, had not fixed the issue. Honest-1 auto care was upfront with diagnosis and after getting inspection done, reached out to couple of other auto care shops but the price of honest-1 auto care was best and the performance of the car has also greatly improved.Would definitely recommend their service.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Great place. Performed regular oil change for my Honda Civic sedan, good experience. Owner appears to really care about their service, happy to have them a stone s throw from my house.Update 2/24/2023 - still continues to be an awesome place under new management. Joshua was very helpful with the drop off and pickup and walked me through the whole process. Wasn t pushy at all to perform some of the recommended-but-not-urgent services. Appreciate the thank-you cookies they left in my cup holder. Great place to get your car maintenance, I know I ll keep coming back.

I had new brakes put on my sub back in Feb.Recently, I heard a grinding noise. I took my suv back to Honest to find the trouble.The service employees listened to what I had to say; they took the extra time to search for the problem; it was a very small loose fitting clamp. From the moment I drop my car off. Don was very attentive n answered my question. They drove me home. I was impressed. When they left me a message that the car was ready. I didn t see the msg till almost 4:30. I called n asked what time they close. They close at 5. I said pls don t go I m on my way. Thank God I was with a friend n she drove me there. We got there a little after 5 pm. I ran in the door n Angel. ( Who I had talked to before I left. ) was being very friendly. I was tasting. Thank you so much. For staying till I arrived. He was great. Then to check out to pay. Don showed me n explain to me what was done. But I was confused. So he was very kind n explained until I understood.They are very reputable , professional, friendly , easy to talk to. Yes I would reclined them to my friends. God bless them. I m a 68 year old great grandmother n I am very proud of these young Men.Service: Wheel alignment

I would rate Honest-1 Excellent. They kept me informed every step of the way.Their diagnostic of my car was able to inform me of up coming possible repairs and/or problems that might need attention in the future. I liked how they listed these diagnostic levels from blue, green, yellow & red on how urgent a problem would need attention. This allows me the ability to save money for any future repairs.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

From Merriam-Webster:Honest - free from fraud or deception; reputable, respectable; marked by free, forthright, and sincere expressionI went to Honest 1 for an oil change and a free AC check. The oil change was fine. The free AC check was complete BS. The extent of the free AC check was this:Sean (service advisor): Is it working?Me: No.Sean: Well, to hook it up to our AC diagnostic machine is $150.So they don t really have a free AC check. That is an insincere advertisement. Basically their free AC check is to turn it on and see if it s working. Well I don t need a mechanic for that, and you don t either.Furthermore, they didn t actually fix my AC. When I was called and told the car was ready, I went and picked it up, drove around the lot for a few minutes and only felt warm air coming from the vents. Sean and Craig hooked it back up to the AC diagnostic machine but were unable to figure out what the problem was.I could not leave my car with them as I was taking a vacation the next day, hence the importance of the AC working. But to be honest, I didn t want to leave it with them either. I was starting not to trust them with the second most expensive thing I own.My final complaint is that no coupons or discounts were offered to me, even though their website and mailers mention a $50 discount on repairs over $500. When I called them to see if they would still honor the discount, Charlie told me they would not. If I wanted the discount, I had to ask ahead of time. That does not seem forthright to me at all.Naperville Automotive Solutions has always been my go-to for car repairs. I just figured since I already had the oil change scheduled I would see what Honest 1 could do for me. After this experience I will not be returning. Not even for an oil change. But hey, they saved $50. I guess that was worth it for them.

While they do a total inspection of the car, the report showed I needed over $4,000 worth of repaires while is insane. Most things can wait a while, loke after winter.

Charlie and his team were kind, courteous and knowledgeable about what was going on and fixed the car for an extremely reasonable price and solved our issue . So thankful to have found this business. Performed a very thorough inspection of my car. He found a number if issues, some of which i knew about and some that i didn't. I ultimately decided it was time to replace it. Angel was very pleasant and professional even though I didn't have any additional work done.
