Very helpful and honest customer service- came in with the check engine light on my car. They were honest diagnosing the problem and encouraged me to see if the parts were under warranty at the dealer before just doing the work themselves. This was MUCH appreciated! I also always get my oil changed at this location and will continue to give them my business.

Can t get anyone to answer the phone and the voicemail is full. I have an appointment today for an oil change but can t come because my battery is dead. I wanted to see if they would also replace the battery-guess they re losing this sale too.

Horrible customer service. Made an appointment got there 10min early and the manager started arguing with me that his employee never told me that it was only going to take an hour. He wanted me to leave the car there until the next day for a simple oil change. Very rude and unprofessional. What is the point of an appointment then.

Very friendly and knowledgeable employees. They described the issues in a way that is understandable, with a clear choice of options on how to proceed and what their recommendation is. They treated me and my wife with respect, and were upfront on the pricing and time effort, and finished right on time with their estimate. What an amazing and stress free experience. I needed tires for my car. After doing some research I found a great deal on come Cooper tires. Ordered them online and had them shipped to the Midas in Arlington Heights. Once they arrived, I received a call and scheduled the installation. Dean was amazing from beginning to end as well as the rest of the staff. I travel from 30 miles to bring my car to this Midas and would not trust anyone else with it. Dean was the best! He explained the whole process and what they were going to do. Even recommended a better option of fixing it rather than replacing my whole exhaust system. When my car was done Dean went above and beyond to check my car as my engine light came on. He went outside and ran diognostic and was able to fix on the spot.I will be taking all my cars here and you should too!Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

I went in to get my headlight replaced. Turns out the bulb was just loose. They didn't charge me anything for looking and even though that may be customary, they were very pleasant and I appreciated it.

Made an appointment for 1:30PM. Went in and was told workers were at lunch for an hour! Called back on my way home and said I would be back in 1 hour as they suggested. Then they went on to tell me he could NOT service my car today, as there several cars in front of me. What happened to my appointment????? Will be taking my car elsewhere from now on!!!! Terrible customer service!!

Dropped off. Shop was slow took over 4hrs for an oil change. Never called me to say the car was ready for pickup. Had to show up and sit in the waiting room until the owner's son realized he had a customer waiting. Charged me for diagnostics I declined service for... $98 for a full synthetic oil change on a jeep Cherokee. Overall an experience that should have been more simple, seamless, and price competitive.Service: Oil change

UPDATED REVIEW, August 2022 Apologies in advance for a long-winded recommendation!!! In March, I sold my parents home and started living in area hotels until hitting the road. While staying at the Sonesta over next to 53/McGrath, my catalytic converter was stolen off my old car that I was in the process of trying to sell. Drove it over to Midas and Dean, the Manager, was not only friendly but worked hard to find a reasonably-priced solution.In conversation, I mentioned that I was going on a road tour trying to figure out where I was going to live. At the time, I was planning on leaving soon and wasn't sure where I could leave my old car until I came back into the area to sell it. Dean piped right up and offered his camera-surveilled lot that also had an unofficial police presence so it wouldn't get vandalized again. At that point, I had no idea how long my trip was going to be but Dean assured me my car would be safe!Flash forward to yesterday, August 16, five months later ...While traveling, i had completely forgotten about the car and was worried that he might have thought I abandoned it? Stopped in saw my car sitting in the lot (so relieved) albeit with the driver's side window open. I went in and met Tom (Dean was on vacay;) I explained who I was and I was kind of expecting to get a little attitude for the length of storage time but Tom just smiled and kinda laughed and said they were wondering if I was ever coming back. After several apologies, I asked about the open window and he said ...(here's the EXCEPTIONAL EXTRAORDINARY service part)... that every night, before they closed the shop, they would pull my car inside and then before opening the next morning, they would pull car out and put it in the lot. If it was raining, they'd obviously leave the window closed or if it started raining, they would run out and close it. I was flabbergasted, to say the very least; what an incredible way to ensure my car was EXTRA protected while in their post-service care!!! They had no obligation to even store my car but to go above and beyond like that was just insane to me!With a little more banter, I sheepishly mentioned that I'd have to leave it there a little bit longer until I could figure out where to get some stereo/camera wiring done on it. Again, expecting an exhausted sigh or something, Tom said "No problem!" He mentioned that it was on empty so I'd have to get some gas in it before I was able to take it anywhere, such a minor consideration for such exceptional extended care. I was ecstatic that, A) my car was still safe and, B) that no one was angry about the extended five month TLC storage! As I was getting ready to leave, the Regional Manager, Ray, stopped in and I explained who I was. They both kind of laughed and Ray has said he had asked Dean about my car a while back and Dean just explained and said it was all cool.Long story, well, even longer now ...I cannot say enough about Dean, Ray, Tom and the rest of the Midas Arlington Heights location! Not only did they provide amazing and reasonably-priced servicework, they took care of me long after the dollar signs had already rolled in and expected nothing in return! PLEASE highly consider this Midas for any servicework on your cars. I realize everyone has a different experience anywhere you go but this Midas offered incredible service and compassion and went above and beyond for me! If possible, mention this review as, during our conversation, Ray, Tom and I discussed the importance of honest customer reviews; I'd love for them to get special recognition for my experience as well as giving area residents a chance for exceptional care! Also recognize that they can and DO get busy; be patient and you'll receive amazing care and hopefully will be able to recommend them yourselves in the future!----------- ----------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL REVIEW - March 2022:Amazing service and personable employees! The manager is a sweetheart and make sure you tell him that he looks younger than his brother (bro works in the shop).

Tom and his staff were very helpful and fair. He is the new manager there and is doing a great job working with the customer to provide a fair price plus they do not try to push extra work on you. They did my muffler for exactly what they quoted and even added extra parts I needed without charging me for it. They quoted a very good price for brakes for my other car too so I will be a regular customer there now. Thanks Tom and thanks to your top notch mechanic too!

I've been a regular customer here for the past three years or so. The management has changed hands so many times, it is apparent that their integrity has eroded over that time period. The people currently on staff don't seem to communicate as well with each other and they don't have a cohesive customer care protocol. They will be happy to charge you over and over to fix a problem that never gets fixed and insist they can can fix it if you just bring the car back and pay them more money. Their lobby looks nice and newly remodeled but the level of service falls short of how it was when I brought my car in for the first time.

I did the oil change and they charged 41$ and I moved from VA to IL so I asked them to put the new plate only on back side. They told me they will charge extra 10$ only for plate change. I asked to give me the screwdriver and I would do by myself but the guy told the screwdriver is their tool so that can't be shared. Also they added tax on it so total 11.49$ extra they charged for only plate change. I will not go to this place next time and also not recommend this for any others business.Service: Oil change

I stopped by last Saturday for service and I found my mechanic for life. They where extremely honest and explained the work needed to be done in my car, they were extremely patient with me and my lack of knowledge. The prices were great (i shopped around for the service that I needed and everywhere else was considerably pricier) The service was not only great it was also speedy. If you are looking for honest work done to your vehicle look no further.

I scheduled an oil change with the manager Tom and he was very friendly and courteous. The day I called Tom for service, he scheduled me at 3pm and right at 3 pm they started on my car. No extra waiting!!! They are in the middle of remodeling but the waiting room was very clean. I will take my Mustang back here for service along with my Ford Taurus. Tom is the Best Manager at This Midas I have Worked With ! He is Friendly ,speaks to Customers With Great Manners and has the Best Customer Service ! GREAT PLACE FOR AUTO REPAIR .

We were on vacation visiting family and my car needed to be repaired. I called and Tom was awesome - super nice, friendly and helpful! He repaired my car quickly and also checked to make sure my car was safe for my drive back to South Carolina! It was such a relief to know my car was repaired correctly and at such a reasonable cost! The oil change price stays the same, the fees fluctuate depending on who s the manager on call. I ve been here 4 times in the past year and every time you get different fees added on. No, not the oil disposal fee which they always charge along with most places. This time it was $4.99 Shop Fee... last time it was credit card processing fee. If you re okay with random fees every time, they re easy to get an appointment with, probably for this exact reason. Good luck.

I needed to help my mom get her exhaust repaired. This Midas was very accommodating and they did a great job at a reasonable price.Before coming here I visited a nearby competitor. The price was way higher there and they didnt have a opening till a few days later. Midas took care of us right away.If my mom ever needs anything else I will bring her car here.

I had an excellent experience at this Midas location. They are always friendly and very help and they do what is best for the customer. I recently took my car in because the windshield wiper was not working correctly. I had told them that I thought the motor had blown and I was fully prepared for them to have to replace it to fix the problem. They called me an hour after I dropped the car off and told me they had fixed it. To my surprise when I got in Joe handed me the keys and said that we were all set. All he had to do was tighten the bolt and he didn't even charge me. They do what is best for the customer and for that I will always bring my car back.

Had my brakes and rotors replace on my 2009 BMW 650i. This Midas did a wonderful job on my BMW. I am very happy with the results. Brake work was done on time and were very honest on what I needed and didn't need. They have earn my business. Going to bring in my 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport for brakes by the end of the year. They do a great job and very happy with my service. Highly Recommend!!!

Went in for your average full synthetic oil change and left with a check engine light. My car is not even 3 years old and has never had an engine issue or check engine light. But they said it was just a coincidence that the light came on after the oil change but to bring it in to see if they missed something. Brought it back in and all that was done was them showing me a screen saying something else is wrong. They shrug their shoulders and said we don t work on that and that it s my problem to deal with. So if it wasn t obvious from above, I will never use this place again! Thanks for the headaches!!!Service: Oil change

I had a great experience at this Midas. Scott was very informative, seemed very honest, and found some (important) issues with my car that I wasn't aware of. Prices were very reasonable and car is running great! Will definitely be a return customer!
