This is for camping, not hotels or resorts. The area itself is beautiful, and the campsites are spacious and woodsy. They have a great staff and the added games and atmosphere, with the Wine/Beer Bar and deck is very nice. The only downside are the trains that go by regularly, making it not feel as wilderness like as it could have. But it's still some place we will come on a regular basis. Good times!

The host was very helpful, I love the fact that they take you to your campsite. The lake is more like a large pond but still beautiful. Some people have complained about the trains going but I rather enjoyed hearing them. There were plenty of things to do. I loved the large chess game, and connect four. I would definitely go back.

4.7 stars. Not far off the 95 and good for a mini vacation.Pros:1. Quiet campground (other guests)2. Peaceful "Blue Lake"3. Pedal Boats4. Docks for swimming and fishing5. Wildlife viewing (turtles, ducks, geese & swans)6. Good RV power hookups (some with sewer hookups)7. Dog off leash area8. Horseshoe, Cornhole & other games9. Individual restrooms, showers10. Wine deck.Cons:1. Close to 95, you can hear all the traffic2. Train, train horn early in the morning and at other various timesThe cons are not the fault of the owners, just environmental factors that could take away from someone's stay.

I would have given it 4 stars about 5 years ago when we first stayed as it seemed a lot friendlier staff willing to please their customers but I'm not sure if it was sold since then but I had to give it only 2 stars this time because the negatives outweighed the positives.Pros: Friendly staff that helps you park if you need it. Location is fairly close to the town of Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint so you are never too far from civilization. Although I've never used it, they do have wine in the evenings for their guests...not sure if they charge or not. They also sell wood and when we were there 5 years ago, they delivered it to our site. Also, the site we stayed in that time was not full hook ups and the staff still helped us dump without having to move our rig.Cons: Everything everyone says about the pot holes, dirt road, train noise and turn off from the 95 is spot on. The one thing I didn't hear anyone mention is the noise from the 95 of cars that can be as loud as the constant train passing in the middle of the night. So, quiet and serene is not a good description. The "lake" although which can be fun for small kids fishing and maybe paddle boating, is more of a large pond that is dark and gloomy like and so when you first see it, you might be disappointed at it being called a lake. Although friendly, I didn't find it as hospitable as it used to be when we were first there five years ago and you get the distinct feeling that they are barely surviving as they will not do anything extra to refund or make things whole if you experience is not up to par. Here is why: We were charged half of the amount to reserve the spot we wanted and in order to keep a particular spot you pick, you have to pay a little extra to reserve it or you can still risk having them move you to a different spot if they want to. That's a first. It's true they can't control the weather and I don't really blame them for that, but good vacation industries will go out of their way to keep their customers happy when things are not up to par. We paid for six days and with the stifling heat, along with the fires that were in the area, we were smoked out and weren't told that campfires were restricted per an ordinance they were given before we made the trip there. The entire camping experience was ruined because the only choice we had to not to feel choked out was to stay indoors in the RV. We only stayed one night since this was miserable and decided to leave the next day. When we got home we received an email requesting our input of our stay and we told them a partial refund would have been nice since accommodations were not up to standards. Instead, we were told that in order for them to stay in business and because they have few drop ins, they have to take 50% deposits up front. This seems fair but we paid for the entire week, so it seems to me that in good faith and good customer service, 50% or even some refund at all would have kept us coming back despite the cons. They also claimed that charging 50% is better than some places that want all the money upfront when you book. We have been RVing for years in this area and there are much better places to go that do not do this I'm not really sure why they asked us for our input in the first place. Anyway, as a result we won't be back.

Just letting you guys know, we really enjoyed your park. The bathhousewas amazing, I don t think it could have gotten any better. The dogpark was great too. My son loved running around in the grass and theother people there were very nice and respectful. I didn t see one cardriving faster than they should, which made me feel safe having my sonout. The bar was quiet, cozy and nice, and the mimosa was off thecharts! Will definitely be coming back one day!6 out of 5 stars!

What a great experience! After arriving at another campground and finding it unacceptable to stay for even one night we contacted Blue Lake late in the day and Nick went out of his way to get a site ready for our late arrival. The site was clean, spacious and absolutely beautiful. Over the next few weeks of our stay we continued to be impressed with the whole resort. The lake and surrounding grounds were gorgeous, the dog park clean and well cared for, the laundry and bathrooms were some of the nicest we ve ever seen, and Nick continued to be an extremely gracious host throughout our stay. We highly recommend Blue Lake RV Resort and we look forward to our next visit!

Pleasantly surprised at how much we like it here so far...A Very friendly and helpful staff, sites are pretty spacious, Scenery is Amazing, they have restrooms with showers and a laundry room that are adequate, they have a small lake with docks you can fish from. They have a floating raft you can swim out too. Fish/turtle food you can purchase to feed them in the Lake. Paddle boats , kayaks, canoes to rent. Lots of yard and table games to play around the campground. Fire pit rings and picnic tables at each camp site which is nice. Wine/Beer Bar on the office patio facing the lake open each night for a couple hours for campers to come and enjoy, They have ice, snacks, beverages,ect...to purchase at the office as well. They keep the campground looking really nice. Looking to extend our stay here because we are impressed with this Blue Lake Resort!! Definitely would recommend this Campground/RV park to everyone!! We will be back in the future we are hoping!

Great little campground with awesome management. Most of the spots are in a wooded and shady area. We stayed near the front of the park in mostly unshaded spots, but I reserved a day in advance so I was just happy to have a spot. Awesome wine/ beer patio open from 6-9pm that overlooks the small lake. Spaces are large and all that I could see had picnic tables and fire pits. I had an electrical issue at my site but it was quickly addressed and resolved. If we come back to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Definitely a cool little place. Paddle boat, and kayaks available to rent. My kids enjoyed rowing around the little lake area. There were turtles swimming around and you can buy food for them and they come right up to your hand. Caught some fish in there as well. Also some games for the kids (or adults lol). Very nice place to stay for sure!

The spots were solid dirt and our site was on top of the one next to us. It would have been better suited for a smaller rig (we were in a thirty foot trailer). The lake was actually a pond and was so scummy I wouldn t let our kids swim in it. The dog park was a nice touch and lots of fun sitting areas and outdoor games. Right next to the road. Hosts were accommodating and so nice. Turtles in the pond were super cute! The wine bar was a nice touch. Showers kept flooding the bathroom but they were clean. Laundry was expensive.

The moment we parked we were sad we were only staying for one night. This place is great. Beautiful area and large wooded sites. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. They even have a no leash path for the pups. Kids had fun in the lake and we caught a bunch of fish. Little ones but still fun. This place had a great vibe. Only negative...it is close to the road and train tracks but I didn't really notice too much noise.

I have go to be honest here I simply do not see how others can give this place a five star rating. To start with, the entry is a pitted dangerous hairpin turn off of busy Hwy 95 that is LONG overdue for repair. Then there are the railroad tracks right after that. The office folks were friendly and polite and we were escorted to our pull through site. We have a 35' fifth wheel and we had plenty of room for both our fifth wheel and our truck. The site had 50 amp and full hookups. The pull through sites are on a dry dusty exit road that funnels all of the campground traffic through the road. The dust was horrible. No dust control whatsoever. Not even a sprinkler. The "lake" was more of a pond with no beach access. Access to the lake was by several docks. Lots of algae and lilies along the edges. The bathrooms were very clean with heated concrete floors. There was no attempt to hide the construction material that was behind the bathrooms. Not a good look. Many of the sites were perched on the side of a hill. The drive through sites were level with dirt and weeds. Again, not a sprinkler in sight. The train noise was incredible, and I don't hold that against the owners, so be prepared for the horns. It sounds like they are coming through your campsite at 4AM. I believe I overpaid at $50 a night. We left early because we could not stand the dust any longer.

I would have given this place a 5 star rating, but the turn in coming from the north is very tight. There is a paved turnaround on the right about another quarter of a mile up the road so that you can turn around and approach the campground from the right; if you re hauling, especially, it s definitely much safer. I would not recommend anything over 30 , either as there are a couple of tight turns in the campground itself. The showers here are pretty bad, as you have to push / hold the knob in to get and keep warm water. It will turn icy cold instantly if you don t! Otherwise, it s a very nice, quiet place, and the staff here is very friendly!

Quaint, beautiful rv park that have sites either under the forest trees or under the stars at night. They have kayaks for rent and sometimes you can catch a turtle while paddling along in the lake! Dog friendly with an off-leash area and a dog park too! We even saw wild turkeys roaming around a few mornings with their babies. Park is easy access from highway which was nice while still maintaining that campground feel. We enjoyed our stay and so did our dogs :)

The staff were so kind along with the fellow campers. The dog park was great for our hyper dog too. We enjoyed this little RV resort and recommend it to others looking for a quiet family friendly place to stay.

Not the best for tent camping but the bathroom and showers are great. We spent two nights with them and the weather was super hot. The stars at night were amazing. The adult beverage deck was pretty cool too.

What a nice spot for weary travelers. Owners were very accommodating with a pull-thru for our rig. Lots of activities available though we weren't there long enough to appreciate.Bathrooms/showers and laundry were nice and clean. Only drawback would be the train whistle as it goes by. We would definitely come back.

The staff is awesome and super welcoming. Boats, rafts, paddle boards! The bathrooms are THE best! Heated floors if you are staying in colder months. The wine and beer bar is super cozy with a fire place, as well as a deck that overlooks the lake. There is so much to do at this RV Park, I definitely recommend! 5/5

I give it 2 stars only because the elect water and sewer all worked great. But the facility was aweful : pothole making driveway feel like you needed 4 wheel drive, mosquitoes eat you alive . Dog park severely overgrown . Trains Close and Loud, no satellite reception. Very bad Wi-Fi reception even with my jetpak, and not cheap. never again.

We absolutely loved Blue Lake! Heidi and James were so friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful. It is a very special place and wonderful for kids as there are many fun things to do including fishing, swimming and feeding the turtles and fish in the lake. There is a train track near the property and you do hear trains throughout the day, but we thought that was one of the most charming things about our stay. Our almost 2 year old loved everything he experienced there, especially seeing and hearing the trains. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Amazing little place! We have been RVing full-time for just over a year and this was the first place we stayed at after leaving our house forever. It was off-season, in early June that we visited and they weren't set up for RV season- I only mean that the wine bar wasn't open, but they were happy to sell us a bottle if we wanted. No complaints, in fact, none at all. This tiny lake has a LOT of fish and a lot of potential for the serious angler. We were amazed at our perfect spot overlooking the lake and even more surprised at the incredibly reasonable price.Do yourself a favor- if staying at Blue Lake, splurge for the extra $5 or so dollars and get a spot overlooking the lake, which is also like 30 feet from the water. We stayed for a week, and if we didn't have to go south, we'd have stayed for a month. There simply aren't many RV parks like this in the Western US, in fact, we've only found one other.Wonderful place. If we hadn't permanently relocated to coastal Oregon, we wouldn't even be telling you this now, we'd keep it to ourselves. This spot is SPECIAL!

45ft Class A towing. There is a sharp turn to enter the rv park. Nothing to be concerned about, but you need to judge it properly. We made it in without disconnecting. Interior roads are gravel and were dusty at that time. No low hanging trees. Guided to our sites without any issues. Majority of sites had a beautiful canopy of trees which...drum roll...no SAT service. Space was pretty much gravel, but was good sized. We did use the lake for paddle boarding and that was great. Idaho=trains, but tolerable. The owners could not have been ANY nicer. We had a serious issue that required a semi and trailer to pick one of our coaches up and we are so thankful for the kindness of the owners. We would totally stay here again. Very calm. Very quiet. Best firewood of the season!!!
