When my 2008 F250 went into limp mode and I called Gem State Diesel they immediately instilled confidence with their detailed knowledge and wealth of experience. They knew the main issues with my truck s 6.4L and confirmed the problem during diagnosis. I am not a gear head so appreciated their willingness to talk through the repair options, value and longevity of the options, and additional maintenance going forward. These repairs are not cheap but I have confidence it was done professionally, correctly, and have a 2 year warranty for peace of mind.

The Gem State team thoroughly went through my 2003 Chevy Duramax bringing my truck back to a performance level where I can have confidence in its performance when I'm in the back country or driving the ALCAN. Joe and team were great at communicating with me as we considered the preventative items or if deferring made sense. If you have a diesel that that you want to keep for awhile, I highly recommend the Gem State team.

Joe is a awesome guy! I had a issue with my truck and his team discovered the problem. Highly recommended them for all you re diesel truck service. Also shout out to Bryce for educating me more on my truck.

No problems working on a 2007 Chevy Diesel. Didn't suggest I buy a new truck as others have.Very good at explaining procedures for repairs. Helpful with questions.

I was having some issues with my Chevy Duramax. I wasn t sure how to diagnose the problem. I called Joe at Gem State diesel & Turbo Repair. Joe spent a lot of time with me on the phone trying to help diagnose the problem. He listened intently to my concerns and offered multiple options for a possible solution. He was able to get me in right away. Had the truck diagnosed, found a solution to the problem, and had it back to me within 24 hours. Great service! Joe was very helpful and pleasant to work with. They repla eced three transmission cooler lines. Work wa done in short order, and my truck was back on the road. I would highly recommend Gem state.

Gem State does a good job on getting all my maintenance items worked in. They stand behind their work and quickly resolved any issues I had. The price of work is provided up front. They are not the cheapest around, but you truly get what you pay for and that is well worth it.

Super fast service and very professional. Saved my bacon when stranded in Boise with cold weather and huge fuel problem. I cannot recommend them enough. Wnet the extra mile to get me back on the road in a very tight situation.

Being the owner of an older truck we don t just need to come in on occasion for maintenance. But often for large projects.I have worked with multiple different mechanics in the area and none of them stand up to Gem State Diesel.Their communication is always consistent and efficient.Their mechanics are proficient and do an excellent job.They work hard to make sure that things are done in a timely manner and with the best possible quality of work.All while maintaining an upbeat and positive atmosphere.I highly recommend using their services for your truck repairs!

This is our go to for our dear, now getting old, Ram truck. Mike and now Joe, are the front desk guys. They are very honest, up front with the costs. No surprises. They get it done when they say they will, and whatever they have fixed is under warranty, so you have no worries.And a shout out to the gentleman in bays--thank you for your great work! We trust you with our lives as we pull our trailer into the middle of nowhere and back again!

They towed my Chevy Duramax from a Shadetree mechanic, who was diesel incompetent and had charged me over $6000 , had it 35 days, and truck was still in pieces.Gem State got my truck put back together in record time, tested and road ready. I can pull my 5th wheel again.These guys know diesel trucks, trust them forever!!!

We took our 350 Ford Diesel Truck to these guys for a major repair and they were amazing! They diagnosed the exact issue, repaired it and it runs great. Very honest, clean and a professional shop. They were very knowledgable and very reasonable with the cost. We have looked for a place to take our truck for repairs that you can trust and is honest in their work and dealings and we will use these guys as our "go to" place! Highly recommended!

Heading out on a short vacation Friday, when my alternator died. I drove over to Gem State just hoping to get one ordered. They found an alternator and had it installed within an hour!!! Amazing service. Gem State Diesel is the only place I will take my truck. Thanks guys!

This is the second time I have had my F250 7.3 diesel worked on by Gem State. They did a good job of diagnosing all the issues with the steering problems. The results are great, and the truck tracks much better now. I am very appreciative of the shop manager Bryan calling during the process with updates and explaining the issues and the necessary work to correct the problems. Thanks to all the folks at Gem State for their excellent customer service and quality work.

I called them in a pinch with my work truck when my check engine light and DEF system light came on. They had me come in the following day and by 5pm my truck was fixed and back on the road to work. Mucho appreciated and I also like the honesty and advice given. Keep up the great work!

They did a great job and did what I asked for and then some. I have taken my son's 1996 F250 Power Stroke to another diesel shop in town 3 times to have the same issue fixed. Each time I also asked for a bumper to bumper evaluation. All three times we took it, it came back with all "good", but leaks and other issues kept coming back. I finally had it and took it to Gem State Diesel. They not only diagnosed the issues I was aware of, but did a full bumper to bumper and found other issues.......they even made sense. They fixed everything in a timely manner and kept me informed of the progress. They even fixed a few things that I was not aware of until I picked it up, but did not charge me.I would highly recommend taking your diesel to these guys. Great customer service and honest. Gets the work done correctly.
