Had my truck towed to them on a last minute notice on a hectic day and they got to it that day and was repaired the next day. Honest and very informative guys there. They treat you like a friend not a customer. Fair prices and great service. Thanks a million guys!! Hard to find customer service like this anymore!

These dudes are great for Allison transmissions. Brought in my 250k mile 06 Duramax with a toasted transmission. They have rebuilt Allisons sitting on the shelf so they were able to get it done quickly. They had the knowledge to recommend upgrades and they do the rebuilds in house giving them a super competitive price.

Saved the day. It really doesn t matter where you go, it's a wait to get in. Ultimate Transmission was worth it! Had an issue from a previous rebuild from another shop.Ultimate Transmission identified the problem and fixed it quicker and less expensive than I had expected. What more can you ask for. No crazy upsales, they knew what I needed and git it done, So far, so good, all is up and running as it should be. Thank you!

From the first phone call to arrange an appointment to picking my car up when done, they were great. They answered all of my many, many questions and simplified it so I could understand. I have a little red Hyundai Elantra that needed transmission work badly. I purposely waited about 7 months to do this review, just to make sure that the transmission work that Ultimate Transmission did was properly done and would hold up over time. ..Thankfully, it was and it certainly did. Matt , Dave and crew are all top notch. the quality and care they put into each transmission is unmatched. They are straight forward, they will tell you what they recommend and why you need it. LISTEN TO THEM !! I just had the put a trans in my 2006 Mega cab diesel. shifts like a dream and pulls like never before. May sound weird, but the low stall converter they recommended and installed actually gave my truck noticeably more power. I could not be happier and will highly recommend them. Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Matt! Matt helped me out by giving me technical input on some drivetrain work I was doing at home. Truly think I would have spent a lot more time on the project had he not allowed me to pick his experienced brain. The shop as a whole has nearly a decade of building transmissions for my friends and I and we haven t had one fail or miss a beat. If you need anything drivetrain you have definitely came to the right place if you go to Ultimate. Prices are inflated all around the world but Ultimate Trans chose to inflate their customer service attitude by treating everyone like an old friend and that s what I call good business practice.Service: Transmission

We have a fleet of Trucks/Vans that we send to Ultimate Transmission whenever we need maintenance or repairs done. They are very thorough and take great care in making sure they find anything that might be wrong and get it fixed in a timely manner so we can get them back on the road. I like the updates I get via email on when service is due. They have the best mechanics in town and are extremely knowledgeable. We would not take our fleet anywhere else. 5 stars from All Valley Fire Inspections & Services!

I'd never take my truck anywhere else for transmission work. Everyone down at ultimate are awesome and know their stuff. Had a 48re tow series installed in my 2006 Dodge and it has been amazing.

They specialize in performance transmissions, and really know their stuff. While they can rebuild a transmission to stock, their labor rate is rather high, so you might want to roll the dice on a cheap reman elsewhere. But if you need a transmission to hold far more power than stock, and to last, it is money well spent. They use high quality parts (which are not cheap) and have the knowledge to put them together to last. But you do pay for that knowledge and skill-- don't expect them to be cheap, but they can put together a great transmission.I had gone through 2 performance Allison builds from supposedly reputable builders before bringing my truck to Ultimate. The transmission has been flawless, and at a higher power level than before. I've come back for every other built transmission I've needed for my projects, and I have not been disappointed.

So I am back for the 3rd time which brings me to integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing even when nobody's looking, like putting in all the parts promised with a refresh. So I'm hoping to be able to change my rating and update this review with a reliable running transmission that I paid for.

They know their business and their business is your vehicle. In addition to their expertise in transmissions, they have skillfully accomplished other general repairs and service on my vehicles. I can trust them, if they say something needs repaired I know it is required. Equally important, Ultimate does not "sell" repair work or service that is not required.

Matt/Jake are really on top of their game. Took in an old NP208 tcase and they helped give me some options on replacement to get my truck rolling again. Great communication from the team and they are quick about it.After I got the rebuilt tcase in, it had a small leak. Took it back in and they had it done in a day and back to me. Also, helped check a couple other items for me and gave great recommendations on who they would take it to. Appreciate the extra mile taken!

I don't know what else I can say about these guys other than they are absolutely amazing and their customer service is really top notch. I needed a new NV4500 for a tuned 12V Cummins and after talking with them, they recommended a build for me and I drove the two hours up to Boise to pick it up. Came back home, installed it and took it for a test drive. Transmission shifted great but when I got back I noticed there was a small hairline crack in the aftermarket aluminum tailhousing. I phoned them up and they said to bring the truck up. Drove up the next day and they replaced the entire transmission for me with a new unit with a cast iron tailhousing. Everyone in the shop seemed to want to jump to help me out--they pulled my truck in the bay as soon as i pulled up and treated the warranty as if it was one of their installs. I think I counted like 3 guys working on my truck. Went home that day with a brand new unit installed professionally and ready to roll. Shifts are buttery smooth and I couldn't be happier. No better place in the Mountain West for diesel transmission work. THANKS GUYS!!!

These guys always deliver! Any issue I have, they always investigate to find the root cause. Very reputable, reasonable, and never make you feel like you're being taken advantage of. Let's not forget that they build a phenomenal transmission! I'll never go anywhere else in the valley.

Dave and his team are experts in their trade! They were fairly priced and worked hard to get us taken care of with the replacement of a transmission in one of our vehicles almost a year ago. Recently I had a situation where I was hunting, struck on the top of a mountain and broken down. Without having the truck in front of him Dave was able to give us several options and solutions to get us and our vehicle home safely. Thank you!

Let me tell you Matt and Dave go above and beyond to solve your transmission issues. They built a transmission for my Dodge Ram to handle performance mods and towing. Seven months after the fact, I was having some minor issues and they stood solidly behind their work and addressed every concern. You will not find more honest guys that are passionate about pleasing their customers. I have sent friends to see Matt and Dave and would not hesitate to do so in the future. I took my 74' Scout to these guys following an attempted replacement of the flex plate by a local diesel shop which left my rig barely driveable.These guys were incredible; they fixed the shiftpoints, drivelines, replaced a number of leaks, transmission pan, plus more and stuck with the initial quote for parts & labor on a classic vehicle that has had a full after-market diesel engine swap + re-built trans (so you can appreciate the unforseens they encountered and were able to diagnose & repair). These guys really were professional and knowledgeable. Really appreciate their integrity, feedback and service. Would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone...they are busy for a reason!

I gave this place FOUR chances to get the transmission I bought from them working properly. Not only has it leaked transmission fluid constantly since the first time they had it, but they charged my debit card over $600 the FOURTH time they tried to "fix" it (after I already paid over $2200 for the transmission in the first place). I finally got so tired of wasting my time and being taken advantage of that I junked their transmission and bought a new one ELSEWHERE.Rude, condescending owner and staff that doesn't stand by the work they were paid for.

Bought my first trans for my Powerstroke back in 2010 from Dave and Matt. I did have a problem when I first installed it. Some idiot(ME) did not get the torque convertor seated all the way into the pump and cracked it when first installed. I showed up to there shop unexpedly Monday morning and they jumped right on it and fixed my screw up. I was on the road by noon headed back to Utah. Transmission has been great. I currently have about 70k miles on it I have had a trailer hooked to it for probably 50k of those miles. I have since bought several more transmission from them.

I have had 1 (the first time) good experience and 2 bad. Unfortunately I would much rather send my stuff elsewhere and pay shipping. Hope they get whatever figured out and do better.

Ultimate Transmission is, in my opinion, the ultimate transmission shop in the Boise area. Dave and his brother know transmissions and are more than happy to give transmission advice and answer any questions you may have.Very few shops are willing to work on performance diesel transmissions. Ultimate Transmission is so confident in their work that they offer an unlimited mile 3 year warranty, or if you are racing your vehicle (including drag racing diesels) you get an unlimited mile 2 year warranty. If you do drag race, you'll run into Ultimate Transmission at the track racing their personal vehicles. That says a lot right there.
