BEST MACHINE SHOP IN THE TREASURE VALLEY!maybe even anywhere. I've been to other machine shops before, but none compare. Since I've been going to northwest I've only made the mistake of going somewhere else once and it cost me over $20k in damages. You're in the right place, don't go anywhere else even if you need to save time, the wait is worth it.

10/10 -- PerfectAbsolutely recommend this shop for machine work.State of the art tooling, great staff, and a certain 'good vibe' to the place.Justin was the main person who assisted me but several other kind people helped.I rarely if ever give perfect ten out of tenJune 2022:It took a long time, but that was expected as Justin made it clear from the start. They rebuilt my 98 Honda B16A2The total cost of rebuilding it was ~$5,000This shop was $2,500 in labor but considering all the fine tuning work I am happy with the price and result.October 2021:So far they have been timely and kindWill update once work is done

Spark plug #8 broke off inside my head. I removed head and to took the head to Northwest Machine where they extracted the plug and put a insert in the head for me. I got the head back reinstalled and now my truck is back on the road! Thanks Northwest Machine shop.

I cant say enough about North West Motor Machine. The owner Justin is involved in the community, treats his employees like family, and his work in machining is known for excellence. If you need any CNC machinery done either personally or professional these guys do it right. I've spent time with so many of his customers, and they say the same. Don't waste your time with any other machinist, this is the place.

I took a set of heads in to be resurfaced and pressure tested. They loosened the rocker arms and did to return them to correct specs. Poor work for the price I paidService: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I have used this shop for two different jobs. They were on time (quick even) and did excellent work. On one job, the cam bearings I supplied were oversized and the cam would not fit. They fixed it by installing new bearings and would not let me pay for the new bearings because "I should have caught that before sending you home."A business nowadays that stands behind their work like that is a rare thing. I highly recommend them.Service: Motor building

Awesome crew. Took an old control arm in with some concerns regarding threading in a steel bushing and they took care of the job same day and with no charge. Simply let me know it just needed to be brute forced and no need to worry. Have a nice day. Could have easily charged me even 10 bucks but they didn t feel the need. I know where I ll be taking my future business! Thanks guys!

Brought a block and head to get degreased and honed. They took longer than they said it would take to be done. Had to call several times to get updates. Got the block back. Finally got a call from them telling me the head was ready. I show up just to have them tell me that it still isn't ready come back after the weekend. They told me they'd call on Monday to let me know it was ready. Five days later I have to call again to make sure the head is done before wasting more time and gas. Justin was very helpful however the guy behind the counter was very unprofessional.Service: Motor building

Was told 2 days, took 4.. was told 1 price on email then upon arrival price was different...Very over priced. Had machined work Priced 70$ higher then a shop 20 min away. Had a bolt that apparently was broke off and would charge 27$ to remove. When all I had to do was put pliers and turn it out. work that was done was decent.

I was told this machine shop was one of the best in the valley after giving my motor to them they reassembled my bottom end they bolted my head to the block they also billed me for freeze plugs and when I was filling the motor with coolant I started leaking coolant from one of my freeze plugs and they would not pay for removing the motor to get to the freeze plug they wanted me to get the freeze plug so they could get to it easy and didn t take much responsibility they also put in my crankcase pressure pipe and coolant pipe that are pressed into the block the coolant pipe was put in wrong every time forcing me to move the pipe because it was off and it was shrugged off as not a big deal a few hundred miles later the coolant pipe developed a major coolant leak they said they would not fix it for free since it was not a new part that was installed also my crankcase pressure pipe that is pressed into the block came loose and my TOMEI metal head gasket started seeping before 1000miles on the motor and again they said they would not cover it because they didn t buy the parts my top of the line head gasket should not leak within 1000 miles if it is torqued properly I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP THEY HAVE NOT WORKED WITH ME AT ALL AFTER I SPENT ALMOST $4000 THERE HAS DEFINITELY BEEN A SHIFT IN OWNERSHIPService: Engine repair

We've been sending all of our machine work out of state for the last 9 years UNTIL I was told about NWMM. They have done several jobs for my shop over the last year and I'm very happy with the quality of not only their work, but their friendliness and promptness. It's not easy finding a machine shop that can do what we need on Porsche engines.

They rebuilt my stock iron cylinder heads and cleaned up my Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 intake manifold for my Ford 390 FE engine. They were honest and affordable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Do not trust the mechanics here. Had an aluminum head pressure tested and machined. I was told it was good to go, come to find out they stripped a cam stud out of the head and stuffed it back in, then let me pay for it thanks guys.
