Our tour vehicle broke down an hour outside of Boise and were towed here because the reviews seemed good... Dropped the key off with a note on what we thought was wrong around midnight and they had us fixed up before noon the next day, went above and beyond to help us in our hurry to get to our next date. Nice, professional, and fast!

Worst customer service ever! I was told the service would be done by 4 or sooner. When I arrived to pickup my truck they hadn't even touched it. I understand things come up and schedules change but a simple phone call would've saved them my business.

Great price and good communication. They shipped fast ! Very clean truck low miles . Even though I'm 12 hours away I will definitely check this lot again before I buy my next ride!

Bad experience with this company... and wasn't even seeking their services. Just parked temporarily in the dirt lot between them and public storage. They left this less than friendly note on my window.(Using some other company's letterhead)When I tried to tell them this might seem a bit aggressive towards potential would be customers and they should not use other people's letter head they just kinda laughed it off and said "we have had a big problem with people parking there"Then put up at least a dang sign or something. And use your own letterhead. And maybe try wording it better.They did not listen in person, so I hope they see this review and take a hint.

Went in for evaluation of fast battery discharge. Precision found a computer chip that was pulling the charge down rapidly. Replaced, and battery held charge, but later began to discharge again. Precision quickly rechecked, found chip was ok, but said that our (fairly new) battery was prone to early failure. We had them replace battery with one of theirs, and no further problems. They didn't charge for the re-evaluation.Services: Electrical, Battery

I want to say thanks to precision automotive. We aren t from the Boise area. We went to Boise for an appointment that we had in the morning. After our appointment we had some car trouble. We couldn t go over 40 mph. I called around some mechanic shops and of course lots of them are busy for weeks. None could schedule us in for that day. Called precision automotive and explained my situation and they said they are booked for weeks but will check out the van that moment. Waited a short time and they checked my van and explained to me what needed to be done. They got the van fixed up and I was able to drive back home with no problem. The owner is amazing and staff as well. Thanks for everything!!!

Absolutely HORRIBLE repair shop! Avoid this place at all costs. Made an appointment to have some repairs made to my truck for over a month in advance. Arrived at the shop promptly at the scheduled appointment time. Repair should have taken a couple of hours. FOUR-and--half hours AFTER the scheduled appointment time my truck had not even been pulled into the shop. The appointment was at 11:00 am, the job would not have been completed until after 5:00pm. A complete waste of my day with nothing to show for it. When I did ask for my keys back, they had. no idea where the keys were. They actually tried to give me the keys to 3 different vehicles. This is a completely incompetent repair shop, with an even more incompetent office staff.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Let's face it, cars definitely aren't like they used to be when I could fix it in my own garage - if my car breaks down in today's day and age, I've got a 2000 lb paperweight sitting in the middle of an intersection. Better have insurance with a tow package and then get it over to Precision.I was referred by a family member and once again, word of mouth is golden! Dodie was able to schedule me as quickly as possible, work with me on the best pricing (and reliable parts) and I was pleasantly surprised with in-house guarantees, and service after the sale.Technology may come and go, but the personal touch will get you home again - thank you Precision :) 5 Stars *****Service: Engine repair

I brought my classic car in for what I hoped would be a somewhat minor repair, but after the diagnosis, it required a new engine. They coordinated with the machine shop, found me an engine to rebuild, worked to get all of the correct parts, and made sure the car was running perfectly before giving it back. Dodie allowed me a great deal of latitude when it came to replacing parts to dress up the new engine, and she contacted me when they found a part that required replacing. They took great care of me, and I became a customer of theirs for life.

The hardest part about finding a mechanic, is finding one you can trust. These guys are great. Dodie and her team are professional, courteous, and efficient. I took my truck to them expecting the worst, and came home with a solution that cost me WAY less than I was expecting. Get this they were the 4th shop I took it to. No one else could figure out the issue!I took it in at 9 and picked it up at 1 all better.Highly recommended.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My truck was brought in due to a fuel pump issue that required the fuel pump to be replaced. Was told it should be done the following day, called in and they said they're waiting for the parts to come in which they said would cost $600 sum to ship in from Oregon because they could not find any available parts in stock in town. I called autozone in Boise right away, they had the exact same parts in stock for less than $300 so I purchased it and brought it into Precision Automotive to save me the extra $300 that the shop would've charged me for the overpriced parts from Oregon. They fixed my truck for labor costs that amounted to $309, the moment I took my truck out of the shop I ended up with coolant leaking. Called back to complain and all they denied being responsible for it, well there you have it. A shop that fixes one thing, but you end up leaving with aqnother problem and they wont take responsibility. I wouldn't go back there. I've seen shops do better than them, shops who won't cheat you as a customer!!Service: Electrical repair

Dodie got my car in first thing in the morning and I had answers after thorough diagnostics were performed. Appreciated their honesty on what they recommended and very fair prices for how much time they spent on my vehicle. Very happy, and will trust them with my next car too.

Kevin the mechanic is the MAN. 5 star service when we needed our Subaru's serpentine/alternator belts adjusted to eliminate squealing on a road trip cruising through Boise. Precision welcomed us for service first thing in the morning, and Kevin was the only mechanic in the shop at the time so he was very swamped for the day, yet he chose to service our vehicle FIRST and we saved big $$$ going to Precision. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Precision automotive, fantastic local shop with good people in the front and back, awesome prices too.

Very impressed with Precision's Honesty and professionalism. Have an older pickup I purchased and wanted to increase gas mileage by replacing plugs and wires. Precision told me the plugs and wiring were new and did not need replaced. Their honesty is greatly appreciated in an industry where telling the truth is not always the norm.

A good friend recommended Precision Automotive to me.They got my car in and got it fixed all on the same day I called them... in spite of the fact they had to wait for my car to be towed to them.On top of that, their bid (and final price) was less that other quotes I had gotten.I would use them again and would recommend them to a friend.

I sure wish you could rate below a 1 star. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a reasonable, competent, and honest mechanic. My girlfriend brought her car to this place after being recommended by a friend, they took three days to diagnose the problem. During those three days we were told that they would call us each day to give an update. It never happened... POOR COMMUNICATION.When they did figure out the problem, a fuel pump, they bid it out with an outrageously expensive part. They estimated the part to be $450. I can't find the same part online for more than $150 which includes a lifetime warranty. RIP OFF!!! They wanted to charge $255 in labor for a job that I can do in 1 hour? How does that make sense?I called another shop, described the problem, they quoted me $200 including the part. $65 for the part, $135 to install. That is a lot cheaper than the $705 this incompetent mechanic wanted to charge.After this bad experience, instead of waiving the diagnosis, they charged us $90.The bottom-line is they are NOT looking out for their customers best interests. STAY AWAY!

Precision Automotive is the ONLY place I take my BMW s. They are very reasonable and they are legitimate BMW mechanics. I have taken my last 4 Bimmers there and the quality of work and customer care is unbelievable. This is the shop I recommend to all of my friends...it s that good!

Do not take your truck here fixed about 4K$ In parts and labor that weren t necessary and then decided to tell me the real problem was injectors! Shady practices got my truck fixed up at Gem state!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Took 3 times to replace the starter, costing me $185 in added towing fees. Asked them to fix power steering fluid leak. They replaced the whole unit and some hoses. The unit they replaced was fairly new, only 8000 miles on it. What should have been a minor repair turned into an unnecessary giagantic waste of money. Not happy at all. Total RIP off!!!!

Dodie and the crew at Precision service all of my personal and company vehicles. They do a great job, are honest about when things will be done and communicate well. They have helped us out immensely in a pinch and gotten some things in when they probably didn't really have the time. Always makes a bad experience a little better.

I was looking from Mountain Home to Boise for an honest and fair price repair facility for all of my autos, I found Dodie at Precision and I don t plan on going anywhere else, even though I have to drive (100) miles round trip. A real old school place where they answer the phone right away with a real person and tell you the truth! RefreshingService: Auto engine diagnostic

My serpentine belt on my car was fraying so I brought it in to have it replaced. Two days later the belt fell off and I had to call a tow truck. I called the next morning to have them do the belt again and the receptionist was rather rude. They only reimbursed me for half the cost of the tow and they were very offensive, saying my driving was the reason it fell off. The last thing they said before I walked out, was I guarantee your belts going to fall off again and when it does I want my $30 back.

I ask for a review of what was needed to fix brakes and AC on a 2001 Volvo S40. The shop proceeded to inform me the car needed a new brake master cylinder, a hose and valve replacement on AC plus charging of the system. They said that an axle boot was torn and needed to be replaced, as well as a radiator hose. All to the tune of $1600.00. They then charged me $110.00 for their diagnosis and refused to release the car until this NON DISCUSSED or DISCLOSED charge was paid.Had the car towed to a competitor.They diagnosed a broken brake line that needed to be replaced, and AC that just needed to be recharged, axle boots and radiator hose were fine. What a difference!Get a second opinion when dealing with this provide!
