Highly recommend any and all import engine work. I had a DSM 4g63 and had these people inform me on what to use and answered my questions extremely well. At one point they left a main cap in there machine, I didn t realize it was missing until I was putting it together. one worker drove 30+ minutes to deliver me the main cap and even stayed to help install the bottom end of my engine. Will do all my machine work in the future with these people they re all extremely friendly and knowledgeable! Thank you IES!!!

These guys are all professional and their work is top notch. I love how friendly, reasonable and honest they are. I will definitely go there again and I will refer anyone I know to them. I really don't know how to thank them enough.Thank you all for making my truck work.Came in for a cylinder head resurfacing... found out that my Valves & valve spring where damaged. Not only did they fix and replace parts in a really fast turn around time but the price was extremely reasonable.Chevy S10 head gasket repair.

Can t say enough good things about these guys! Brent was awesome. Spent a lot of time to give me an estimate. Ultimately, we decided to go another route, but customer service and responsiveness was top-notch!

I have been dealing with Brent for about 10 years now.Bought one of his recycled engines when mine blew up.Brent came to cascade and hauled my pickup back to his shop. That's good service ! The engine now has 190,000 miles and is still running strong. He has also done repair work for me all first rate.I would absolutely give him and his staff my highest recommendation. jerry white

Absolutely amazing work and trustworthy employees. Had my engine replaced because of bad piston rings and they had it done quickly and perfectly and very very very reasonably priced. They sent me a repair order with a final price but when I arrived to pick it up it was about $800 cheaper than what I was expecting. It turns out they were able to clean and fix a part so they could reuse it. I was very impressed because any other shop would have just used the new part for more money. I also came in with a combo of cash and card and apologized for any inconvenience it might have caused and the first thing said back to me was something along the lines of "you're the customer we'll do it however you want". There was no annoyed undertones or anything of the sorts. He was just genuinely unconcerned about any inconvenience it may have actually caused. If I could i would definitely give more than 5 stars and will definitely be recommending this shop to anyone who needs work done on their car.

When my Honda needed a new motor, I turned to Import Engine because of their excellent reputation in the valley. Darren was able to source a replacement engine and have it installed quickly at a reasonable price. When an issue developed with the motor and they could not find a replacement, Brent went above and beyond my expectations and reworked a domestic replacement motor and installed it at no extra charge. The new motor runs great and they did a fantastic job ensuring everything was installed correctly and no detail was missed. I was not disappointed and their reputation is well deserved.

If you're looking for a place to take car of your car's needs, look no further. Back in late June, my truck broke down on the way back from McCall, and of course where I had no cell phone service. After a long night of waiting for a tow truck, I figured out that I had blown a spark plug. I spent the next day calling around trying to find a shop that would do the job but not break the bank. Every shop I called was telling me it was going to be about $900, until I found Import Engine Supply. I called and spoke with Derin, who said that he would not only do it less than that, but would get me in asap. I had the truck towed to the shop and within a few days, the truck was running great again. But this review doesn't end there.......We are now in the middle of August and I was driving the other day and right when I was going to accelerate from a green light, I noticed the truck running as if the same spark plug blew again. Long story short, I had the truck taken back to Import after hours. I left the truck outside the gate and left the keys, thinking I'll just give Derin a call in the morning about it.To my surprise, I called the next morning, Derin already remembered who I was and had already diagnosed that it was the same spark plug that blew before. Here I was thinking it was going to be a difficult conversation since they just did it and he would more than likely get defensive. It was everything else but that. Derin simply told me that he didn't know why it happened but that he was going to make it right and my truck will be done that very day. He not only took credit for it but handled with such professionalism and made it right. Definitely a happy customer and will be recommending them for anyone that needs an honest and reliable mechanic. Thanks again Import!!

I reluctantly went to Brent at Import. I went into his shop and spoke with him on the EJ20 Japanese import engines they sell. He assured me how simple the swap is. He gave us a checklist to follow to make sure we would have no issues. We had issues.I called Brent and spoke with him on the matter and to get ideas on what to do next. When I had the car towed to them they told us they would need a $500 allowance to diagnose and possibly fix the car. He assured us it would probably not be that, but just to cover his bases. To no surprise, the bill was $481. $80 of that was a storage fee. They said the car was done for 10 days and they called us. They called the wrong number but that didn't matter. They also charged me $75 for a used sensor they had laying around the shop! $75! These guys are priceless. I am not even going to waste my time calling them if I have an issue with this. They don't follow through with there warranties anyways. They are very good at finding ways to blame you or another mechanic for their work.

Darren was absolutely amazing went the extra mile to make sure that I was taking care. Within a half of a day he got me a transmission that was half the price of the other repair shops. It's nice to know that I can trust someone to not take advantage of me who is honest and reliable.

Took a 2005 Subaru outback down to them. The turbo took out the engine, and Brett and Darren replaced the engine for me and stayed within my budget, did it in a meaningful timeframe as well, these guys are Rockstar's for sure. Then shortly after that I took a 2013 Subaru outback that lost an air compressor and ruin the serpentine belt, and they had it fixed for me within a day as well. Cant say enough about these fellas at import engine and supply. They sure earned my business. Thanks for all your hard work. Thanks again, Todd

These guys are the best of the best! I'm very untrusting of anyone touching my vehicles or their components, but these gentlemen are the only ones I trust. they are extremely knowledgeable, honest and they get the job done efficiently. I wouldn't recommend anyone else and as another local business runner, they are the only ones I will put my name on. keep up the good work!

Rob really went the extra mile to get me back on the road in Subaru. I had a block that wasn't repairable. I had just rebuilt the motor. Rob found a replacement set of block halves and was prompt, courteous, and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a Subaru.

My partner and I went into their shop and spent good money on a EJ20 engine from them. Naturally it was not as easy of swap they had assured it would be. So we ended up having the car towed over to their shop so Brent could have a look. Thought maybe thats the best idea, he did sell us the engine. I spoke to him a week later and he told me hey good news its not as bad as we all thought it might be........well come to find out our bill was nearly $500. With a big part of that cost being a used sensor and a $80 storage fee. I do not recall seing a missed call from them....and maybe they did try contacting us. But you are running a very cutthroat, greedy business. Never in Idaho Have I ever purchased something of value from a shop or store and been treated like this. Pay good money for a product....take it back to have them look at the product they sold us, and spend even more money to get the product running. Then get charged $80 storage fee in the end because they didn't take enough of our money. Pretty greedy....not vey Idaho like.

Took an older motor from a tractor to have them look at. I let them know that I wasn't interested in spending tons of money to get this tractor back up and wanted an estimate. They quote for the parts they gave me was double what I could get on my own. Their machining charges were significantly higher than Jim and Dans Machining on Bethel and they quoted me for doing things that weren't necessary. The worst part was that when I told them i wasn't interested in them doing the work and went to pick up the motor they charged me $326 to do the ESTIMATE. Scammers. They were not up front that they would be charging those unbelievable prices for an estimate. Stay away from these guys.

They do good work. I had them fix a couple of oil leaks on my Subaru and they only lasted about a month but they warrantied the work and fixed them again. They've also replaced my driveshaft and an axle.

I've been working with Import for several years now and never once had a bad experience with them. Brent the owner has always gone above the call of duty to help me and my deadlines. Prices are very and the turn around is fast. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

*UPDATE* - I received a call from Darin and they temporarily fixed the problem the car was having with surging and CEL.I had IES swap a 2.5 to a 2.0 in my Subaru Legacy wagon. The 2.5 had leaking head gaskets and I wanted to get a few more years out of the car(CEL not on). After a few months the CEL (check engine light) came on and the code was for an O2 sensor , replaced the sensor,(s) after a few weeks driving, CEL on. I took it in to IES to address the issue , the car was also hesitating and surging, and after a few days, CEL on. I replaced Denso O2 sensor again, same result. On the final return to IES, they replaced parts at my expense and the CEL was back on after a few days. I have spent $3k+ for parts and labor and my car will not pass emissions and has been parked for the last few months in front of my garage. Not satisfied!

This place is an automotive abortion clinic! My son went in for a simple PCV hose r&r and when he gets it back he noticed an oil leak (never leaked before) First job sheet says they removed the turbo... so, back to the shop and they try to sell him a head gasket change for $2500 that they somehow discovered with a $90 smoke test and no compression test... hmmm. Didn t go for it, but as he drives away, the power steering pump is screaming like a tea kettle at full boil (it was just fine when he dropped it off). They try to convince him it s because it s cold and the hose became stiff at a frigid 45 degrees. I was listening to the whole sad excuse via his cellphone. They were working right next to the return hose. I guess they think we re all stupid.Weird because the Subaru dealership did a full pre-purchase inspection a few weeks prior and only found the PCV leak and a strut.Gee, I wonder if they re a BBB member?

Deffinitley one of the best mechanics in the area. They work really quick and get everything done right. One of the few places I can actually take my JDM swapped Impreza and know it's gonna get fixed correctly. Highly recommend!

First impressions aren't a priority. Along with an unclean office and shop. I went somewhere else that felt more inviting. I was referred elsewhere.
