I have lived in 7 different states and 16 cities, and this is by far one of the best shops I have ever taken my car to. I can't imagine taking my BMW anywhere else. Excellent service, very fair pricing and super nice people. Highly recommend.

This is the best Mercedes sprinter service shop, they saved our van and fixed the problem when we were stranded. Very knowledgeable owner, you can definitely trust your vehicle at this shop! We recommend them 10000000%!!! They are the best, we re beyond happy and satisfied with their service!

On this trip from Canada to Yellowstone National Park in the United States, unfortunately, my car encountered some issues and struggled to climb uphill. I was traveling with my family and friends who had come all the way from Asia. Thankfully, Sean and Ken promptly helped me secure the necessary car parts and efficiently handled the situation, preventing any delays in my journey. Honest, straight-forward and no- nonsense. They charge Mercedes labor prices but are fair on parts. If you drive a Benz, you're better off here than the dealer.

GSA gets five stars from us. We had a service issue come up in our Sprinter while passing through a long way from home base. Sean and Ken took us in without delay, performed the service immediately and expertly, narrating the steps while we watched. Had us on the road in no time. These guys are the best in the business. Looked across the valley for non dealer maintenance for my Sprinter and GS was recommended. Have had a couple oil changes and otherwise routine maintenance performed. I m giving them 5 stars for there knowledge, willingness to share it and work with me on evaluating and determining an appropriate maintenance plan that is more use based rather than standard maintenance intervals. Some items more frequent and less frequent. Always willing to answer my questions.

Sean at German Star Auto provided hands-down the best service I've experienced in town. He was prompt, communicated well, got us scheduled within a few days, and had a diagnosis of our Mercedes within hours. We will absolutely be returning customers. Ken and Sean took excellent care of our sprinter van. We were passing through the area and needed brake work on our way to Canada. If you live in the treasure Valley and own a Mercedes Benz, German Star is the ONLY place you should take it! I have driven MB for over twenty years and have had as many mechanics. Ken and team are the absolute most knowledgeable professional and detailed. They figured out right away what my car needs, even when two others, including the dealership misdiagnosed. Fast and affordable as well. Honest and reliable. True professionals. I will not take my rig to anyone else ever!

These guys are awesome. Before I heard of German Star Automotive, I contacted two other businesses and neither one would work on my car (it's a difficult Mercedes to work on). They did a great job fixing my car; I was happy with the cost; They were professional, and I will return to German Star Automotive the next time I need a mechanic. No hesitation in highly recommending German Star Automotive!

These are great people, who will treat you right. Just because their specialists with German cars doesn't mean they will take advantage of you with high prices for simple fixes. You trust them to take good care of you, you car AND your wallet. Highly recommend 5*

Ken stands by the work that comes out of his shop and has proven that to me a few times now.When I bought a Mercedes that he had rebuilt from him in December, 2014 he guaranteed that there were no mechanical problems with the car. On a couple occasions some problems arose that he could not have foreseen, and he fixed them out of his own pocket.This is definitely a shop you can trust to do good work and not to take advantage of you. Not to mention they undercut the rates of the local dealer while providing excellent quality service.Anyone with a German car should give German Star a shot.

Ken and his crew are fantastic! I was searching for a local service shop versus taking my car to the dealer. I found German Star Automotive and love them. They are honest, direct, up front, knowledgeable and fair. Ken goes above and beyond - when my car had a belt problem, he came to my home and fixed my car in my garage. Talk about customer service! I highly recommend them to anyone who has a Mercedes Benz.

Ken and his team always go above and beyond. They are honest and the only German repair shop I would trust in the Treasure Valley! Always so helpful and prices are very fair. I'd be going there til the day I died if I didn't move across the county. I had my Torque converter on my Sprinter van start to rumble last summer. Went in for quick analysis they diagnosed problem gave great advice. Offered an affordable option for the repair got it done the next week without any issues. Still running strong! Today I went in for another noise diagnosis and more great advice. Checked my Vans computer and reset faults. No charge for the diagnosis and Fault reset. I scheduled the recommended Service. Its nice to have some good old fashioned free service and advice. They really earned my trust and business.

After one of the worst experiences at Boise's only Mercedes Benz dealership, Ken and Nick diagnosed my Mercedes Benz CL 6.3 AMG within hours. They had a loaner vehicle available for me when my car was both diagnosed and repaired. They were professional, courteous and most of all honest. Honesty is so rare to fine when servicing and repairing your car. I highly recommend German Star Automotive if you value honesty, knowledge of product, professionalism and friendliness at a price the dealership cannot come close to providing.

I've generally had good experience with my car repairs here. My first impression was that the team is honest and work hard to do the right thing for their clients. I've had my BMW 535 and Benz 320 both worked on here and saved tons over what the dealership quoted.

I wish I would have found these guys sooner. Ken took great care of our car and made sure we were completely satisfied. I am very happy to have German Star taking care of my car now. Finally, a Mercedes mechanic who demonstrates true care for doing it right! Ken truly took the time to diagnose a very difficult fuel issue with my S420. Ken had the methodical patience over the course of several days to find the elusive root cause, and he did this without just throwing expensive unnecessary parts at the car. The result is that the car starts and runs better than ever! Through the course of several other service opportunities with Ken, I know I can fully trust him to service my car. In my opinion, Ken is a top professional Mercedes mechanic. He tells you the truth and treats you as a valued customer.

German cars are so sophisticated. German Star Automotive knows that and handled the complicated Repair on my Husband's 650i with superb expertise. The owner/management are trustworthy and their costs are fair. So Glad we found them. Thanks to German Star Automotive, My husband's BMW is beast and back on the road.Many Thanks!!

I have gone to every Mercedes Mechanic in the Boise area and am very pleased with GSA. When I have called with a problem I could take the car in that same day, and when I get the car back it is in the same condition I left it in. For some reason at other shops I have to clean off grease or oil from the steering wheel, door handle and the carpet.Also, when I take my car in to get fixed I am nervous to hear what the total cost will be. I have been pleasantly surprised with the total cost when it's time to pick up the car.The fact that there is a loaner car is a huge bonus and the cars are equal in quality. Much appreciated!

They provide excellent service , and they are HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY. They are very knowledgeable and they have good prices as well.I feel very fortunate for knowing them, and now I have a no worries about my car braking down.Definitely I will recommend them.

If you have a Mercedes you know how hard it can be to find someone qualified to take care of your Mercedes. The own and staff are awesome to work with and very knowledge and skilled at their craft. Before you take your Mercedes to the dealer or to another shop I would highly recommend going and seeing Ken at German Star. It's a hidden gem behind Scentsy off Egale rd and Pine. I would recommend making it your first call if you need something taken care of on your Mercedes.

I have been taking my ml320 to German Star for a few years now and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves their car. They have given me excellent service, good prices, and always go the extra mile. A few times they have even repaired small things at no charge. I can see that they take pride in what they do.

These guys are awesome! I have been to several mechanics in the area and none of them have the same prices or quality that GSA offers. I would recommend anyone with a European car to give them a shot! They also have loaner cars or "chauffer" services to pick you up when your cars done.

Great alternative to a dealership for Mercedes / Sprinter care. Quick appointments and personable service. Kinda quirky to find the shop though
