I was referred to Robert and his crew months ago. When I first went in, I had issues with my 2011 dodge durango. He was super nice, professional, and genuinely wanted to help me out. Before the work was even done, I had to come back and forth to the shop multiple times because It was a unique issue that was tough to diagnose. He stuck with me and we finally got the root issue fixed, and I left SUPRISED that I didnt have to pay more for the time he spent with me on this.Robert seems to be a great guy, and he has a solid crew who knows what they are doing. I am now bringing my dodge, and my hyundai into him for any maintenance and/or repairs that need to be done. I wont go anywhere else.

This auto shop is very reasonable, fairly priced and honest.They are not crooked like a lot of the shops in town and do a good job!

We have 2009 Honda Odyssey touring and needed to replace the alternator. Gary s place was closest and we did not know when our van might just die. He was wonderful and be done within 3 hours!! The cost was so reasonable and NO overcharged!! I would recommend ANYONE to get honest service from Gary s Place!! My next mission would be A/C and I am going to go back to Gary s Place! Thank you so much!!!

I went to Gary's Place because it was so close to home. Its a small little shop. But Robert was amazing! He was very professional, communicated with me in a timely manner and had my car fixed really really fast. Gary is the most honest mechanic you will find in the valley. His son Robert runs things now but honestly, Robert is amazing. We never consider going to someone else. If you want good honest work go to Robert. Best service in the valley

Gary's Place got 4-5 stars on every review I read...so let me give them 5 more! I couldn't be happier with the cv axle replacement they did on my old Toyota Tercel. Reasonably priced, excellent service, friendly, & professional. Thank you Robert!

Fair prices, great work, knowledgeable about what was and what was not wrong with my car. Didn't charge me for what I thought was wrong with my car which turned out to be a simple fix overall I would recommend Gary's place...

I came here for 3 pre purchase inspections when I was looking to buy a vehicle. Robert was honest and helpful showing me red flags with the first two. Had a different mechanic for the third (forgot his name) but he was helpful as well and I ended up buying that vehicle.Price was extremely fair for those, and I will continue using Gary's Place for my automotive needs.

Quality workmanship at a reasonable price, done in a timely manner. Gary and his son take pride in there work and it shows both on the vehicle and on the bill. If you want to be treated fairly by honest gentlemen with a high degree of integrity this is the place for you.I don't know what the gentleman who stated they didn't do free estimates is talking about. He must have been a jerk when he arrived. They treated myself and my wife with respect and consideration. They preformed an inspection and gave us an estimate in a matter of minutes. We made an appointment and they were ready for us when we arrived.I had my wife check on a brake job and new shocks at two other places. Then we took it to Gary's Place and he replaced everything using exactly same parts for almost $400 dollars less than quoted at franchise stores. The work was fast so the labor was less and we weren't slammed with a huge mark up on parts. We now do business there whenever the need arises .These people are good, if you have any questions get an estimate from where you are used to doing business and then check with Gary. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Gary's has been very helpful to me on many occasions. Recently I purchased a used vehicle and paid Robert to change all fluids and install new timing belt, thermostat, fuel filter and other components. The work was done fast and honestly. I feel fortunate to live close by Gary's Place. Thank you Robert for the help with my 4Runner.

Definitely coming back. Brought my car in with a bad belt and they had it fixed in an hour and a half, including part delivery time. Robert is awesome! Took time out of his day to help diagnose the problem with my truck and then got it in with short notice so I could make my weekend trip. My major issue was fixed within 24 hours of me contacting him for help. Thank you!

We first heard of Gary's Place when (Due to a death in our family) our vehicle wasn't running well and we had to get to Twin Falls for a family funeral. With very little money at hand another family member told us about Gary's Place.Although this was a sad time for our whole family, Robert, owner, put a needed ray of shining light in our life. We haven't forgotten that day or the Great and reasonable job he did which allowed us to be with our family . Thank you Robert.

Good prices and honest work. Took car somewhere else (a radiator king) for radiator flush they punctured holes in heater core hose tried to screw me for several hundred kicking myself for not goin to Gary's!

Towed my car over for an estimate. After a voicemail at work I called back the next day to let them know I couldn't afford the repair. Gary's response was that he had already done the work without my consent and that he would be holding my car until I could pay the sum.Long story short I was appalled and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Gary wants your money period. He's an old salty guy that does things old school so if you're as salty as him you might click. If you're looking for good customer service I'd go elsewhere, he's only looking for a paycheck.

Had these guys fix a radiator in my car and truck. They put an aftermarket in my car with a unit that was supposed to be mounted to the radiator. Instead of mounting it they let it ride on the bottom of the car engine splash cover. While my wife was driving on the freeway it pushed the cover underneath the car and ripped the guard to shreds. I had to pay the dealership to fix this and mount the unit.For my truck they did a shoddy install and didn't check or replace the lines running the coolant. Either that or they used the wrong coolant. Either way the line developed a leak and I will get to repair that myself. I have stopped using mechanics altogether in the treasure valley because they all seem to be junk or con artists. Do it yourself people. Its easier and you get to keep the tools knowing that you did a GOOD and CORRECT job that wont cost more down the road.

Very rude. One of his workers was rude to me too. Garys son is nice but gary was very rude. He said "I can fix anything" then I get the car there and he says well i cant fix carburetors. He made lots of rude comments. And i pulled out one of my spark plugs and it wasnt gapped right. Then i pulled all of them out and all of them werent gapped right. And they couldnt get my distributor in. And they still charged me.

Always heard that the term "honest mechanic" was paradoxical. I learned here that, although they are a rarity, they do exist. I think some people have confused Gary's PLACE with Gary's AUTOMOTIVE. Completely different places, but I have personally known people who thought I was talking about Gary's Automotive, and I had to correct the misunderstanding. I have been to both, because I did the same thing when my sister first told me about Gary's Place. All I remembered was "Gary's," and "Automotive" is more well-known because they are larger, so that's where Google told me to go, and that's where I went. Big mistake and so glad my sister set me straight. Unfortunately it was too late at the time, but have only ever gone to Gary's Place since, and don't plan to ever go anywhere else again.

I no longer live by this auto shop but always go out of my way to take my car there when it needs maintenance. They have proven to to reliable, efficient, well priced and most importantly, HONEST.Thank you guys!
