Joe Buss has been my entire family s mechanic for years. I almost don t like to share this secret because he truly is the best in the valley! That said I am just not a gatekeeper of great service. I couldn t be happier with the care he has taken of our family. Car troubles don t feel like a burden knowing I can always trust our incredible mechanic.

Joe The owner is great. He's down to earth and doesn't take advantage of you. If you live or work by Gowen Field, check Joe's place out. BUSS Automotive is where it's at! He also offers a military discount, which you don't see as much.

Attention Acura/Honda owners .Take your car/SUV to BUSS and save ridiculous money over the stealership. Buss just did our timing belt/water pump/new serpentine/external oil pump re-seal on 2014 Acura RDX. Saved us a THOUSAND dollars and did bang-up job showing photos of work done. Can t recommend Joe and his Team enough. Thank You!

A good mechanic is one of those things that once you find, you are so very grateful for.I have gone here for over a decade after getting their recommendation from someone I trust and respect greatly.Buss automotive is honest - which is THE most important quality in a mechanic (besides proficiency and they are excellent there as well).They are also a local small business and I enjoy giving them my business. I wouldn't think of going somewhere else, and I have lived all around Boise. Joe (the owner) is trustworthy, friendly and professional. His staff is great too.I recommend Buss to anyone who asks for a mechanic in this area and I have for many years.

Great kind people! We need more businesses like them. I locked my key in my car and I didn't have the resources to get a locksmith out to unlock me. I called 10 area auto repair shops and nothing, but someone referred me to them and i see why! Without hesitation they loaned me the tools to unlock my car and ever gave me instructions on how to use them. I needed a win today and they made it happen. Kindness, love and servitude still exists. Let's all bring it back!

They did an amazing job! We had some regular maintenance done on our car for the 100k mile service. They charged us $700 less than the Honda dealership quoted us. Also, there was a slight miscommunication about when it would be ready and the guy insisted they d just drop it off to our home (about 20-30 min drive away) due to the inconvenience. They have earned our repeat business for sure!!

I've delt with these guys 4 times now, and I have to say I've found my mechanics for life. They do good work, AND if something comes up outside of their control, they'll be sure to make things right. They have a great warranty on their service and will always make sure your vehicle is running properly.5 out of 5, would recommend.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Fantastic experience! Was looking for a new mechanic; car was having issues and called them in the morning. They had car towed and was able to diagnose and fix the same day - luckily not a big issue. Felt the prices were very fair, even had a military discount. Staff was friendly, took time to explain and felt they really cared. A few weeks after started to have problems, took in and again same day looked and fixed. Also didn't charge for minor things - unexpected. We found our new mechanic! Highly recommended

Joe and his crew are true professionals. There is no job they can't handle and he will shoot you straight on pricing, timeframes, services and if you should explore other options. I've had 4 vehicles serviced here for a multitude of situations and Joe has been great to work with.

We have been taking our cars to Buss for years. They always do fantastic work and never over charge. It always amazes me how quickly they diagnose the issue and repair the problem and they do it at a very fair cost. Much less that what the dealerships charge. I have been recommending Buss Automotive for years and will continue to do so. It is awesome when you have a mechanic that you can trust.

I got both our truck and car oil done here, they did a great job and checked to make sure everything was good till my next check. They were reasonable and very courteous. They came highly recommended, from where I work and most of the people do their our maintenance on their vehicles.

Honest and one of the few mechanics left that don't overcharge unlike most mechanics in the valley. Thanks for not ripping people off out of pure greed. Highly recommend!

Buss Automotive has been our trusted mechanic for several years. Joe is honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and fair. He has helped us with several of our vehicles and has been wonderful at advising us when we need it. Joe is easy to talk to, and is also great with teenagers with their various used auto issues.

I've lived in many states and so far I've never found a better auto repair shop than Buss Automotive. They're great mechanics, they have competitive prices, and they never try to sell you something you don't need. If you tend to keep vehicles until they die, it's particularly important to have a mechanic you can trust. Buss has told me NOT to bother fixing a few things when they plainly could have gotten a thousand dollars by saying the repair was critical. They're very military-friendly--actually, they're just friendly, period. Recently I had my car in the shop and was suddenly called out of town for six weeks. They stored my car for a very reasonable fee, which I appreciated. Highly recommended.

Buss automotive has been my only vehicle service and repair shop for at least 20 years, I've lost count by now. Joe is very knowledgeable and does consistently expert and affordable repair and service work. You can't do any better ! JACK

So, nice to do business with a shop that stands behind their work and keeps their subcontractors to the same high standards. I've been taking vehicles to Buss for years and they always do top notch work with no surprises. I don't hesitate when asked, always recommend Joe and his team!

I have an older pickup with lots of miles and these guys have been great to work with over the years. Time and time again they have fixed my broken pickup and gotten me back on the road quickly, which I appreciate because this is my work truck. Their prices are fair and they've always been honest, never selling me something I don't need. They always provide fast, courteous and professional service. I can't say enough good things about them. I have used these guys for many years now and they have never let me down. I know almost nothing about cars and frequently come in with very minor concerns. They have always taken me seriously and addressed the problem (from a twisted seatbelt, burned out headlight, oil changes, strange noises, to brakes and other more major issues) quickly and thoroughly. I've never felt that they tried to up-sell me, and in fact they have told me that something wasn't necessary and/or could wait until a higher mileage. Their prices are always extremely fair and I trust them completely with my car - I highly recommend them.

Joe runs the most quality shop i have ever worked with. They stand behind their work and will fix it if you have concerns. Secondly, Joe will provide very honest and selfless opinions about what he would do if presented with the same decision on whether something is worth fixing. For example, a slow leaking brake cylinder, just keep an eye on brake fluid level and you will be fine . With him, i have no doubts he always puts his customers first. His service is always so prompt too! Very quick to call and give an update on what the diagnostics uncovered. I cannot recommend him enough. I have never heard anyone have such an experience from an auto shop! I just need him to open a new shop in north idaho!

We love Buss and have been going there for a few years now after a referral from family members. They are honest, affordable, and are always seeming to go the extra mile when fixing our cars and many times have fixed something extra with no charge to us. They have customers for life!

Co-workers from Gowen Field recommended Buss Automotive for repairs to my truck, and I'm glad I did. Had them inspect my vehicle before a long trip and was very pleased with upfront and honest quotes, great prices on parts and labor, and genuine concern for their customers and service members. Will absolutely be returning, and recommend them to friends and family.

Our vehicle broke down and we called Buss Automotive. They were courteous and quick to respond. Andy had us back on the road again quickly. Professional, knowledgeable staff and great service. Nobody wants to be broke down, however, if you are broke down we would recommend you give Buss a try!

Knowledgeable, they didn't nickel-and-dime me. The oil cooler lines they replaced on my suburban were very nicely installed. Honest and upfront pricing. Bring your vehicle to these guys if you need help.
