Palace Saimin on King Street is a true hidden gem that transports you back in time with its old-school taste done right. This quaint spot may be small, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor. The menu is super simple, featuring saimin, udon, and BBQ sticks - perfect for those who know exactly what they're craving. While seating can be a bit of a challenge depending on when you arrive, the quick and friendly service more than makes up for it. Just a heads-up, parking is limited to a few stalls in front, and whatever you do, DO NOT park at the Post Office across the street. If you're in the mood for some authentic local comfort food, Palace Saimin is the place to be!

Update. No update, Toyota doesn't want to reply at all, has replied to another review two weeks ago but not to this one......I wonder why? Basically proving my point for me Toyota, you guys are still a joke.Horrible communications, Horrible customer service, Tried ripping me off for 600 bucks for a part i didn't need??? Alapai said he would call me back but left early for the day, The new guy Richard ended up calling me, after i left a complaint and voiced how upset i was with the service, he didn't know what was going on and only made things worse. There was a point during the call where i said something to the fact of "Probably best if you didn't call at all" which he agreed too.Took 3 days to figure out what was causing my check engine light and it was a guess at best. When i picked up my car Alapai was still out and i had to get the car myself, guess no one wanted to see me and apologize to my face about all the issues i was having. Pretty sure when they reply to this review they'll give me some fake apology with a promise of doing better? What a Joke, not bringing my car back here again.

We purchased our 2001 camry brand new, we are it's only owner. The car has been garage kept and meticulously maintained. The milage is very low and the interior is perfect. We took it in for an oil change and safety check. After the car had been there for 4 hours we received a text saying the car didn't pass the safety check. We called to find out why. We were told that the cv boots were badly deteriated, the half shaft axle needed to be replaced and that the car leaks oil. It'll take three weeks to get parts and cost $3000+. Then they sent pictures showing cv boots that were totally deteriated but in the background I could see anodized aftermarket aluminum parts which our car does not have. In another picture we could see that the car pictured was a different color than ours. Fake pictures. We asked what oil is leaking and they sent us a picture of a puddle of clean motor oil on the floor. Funny how there's no oil on the floor in our garage where the car has been parking for the last 23 years. We refused the work and after bringing the car home I inspected the cv boots myself and found only one had a small tear. How sad that Toyota Servco would sacrifice their reputation and integrity and attempt to squeeze every dollar out of customers with bogus claims. One last thing...they wanted to charge us $165 to diagnose where their puddle of oil came from.

Very professional staff. Alapai explained all my service benefits and how to use them to keep my vehicle prime. Some renovation was going on, but the waiting room was big, with complimentary coffee and vending machines in the room.

The waiting area could be improved by making it larger to accommodate more customers. However, the service provided is satisfactory and the mechanic is helpful.

UPDATED 15 Mar 2020. I had previously given a poor review of the service center, but based on the corrective actions they made to ensure I was a satisfied customer I am changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. They went above and beyond to correct the problem, but most importantly took ownership for obvious issues. Although it would have been better to have it done right the first time, I had never had issues with them over 3 years until that point. I would recommend their service center to my family and friends. If I was staying on island I would go to Servco first to purchase a new vehicle.I am a Toyota loyalist. My car is a Scion FR-S RS 1.0. It is badged as number 473 of 1500 made. (Photo 1) I have tolerated long waits for car service with Servco for the past three years because I could always rely on quality. That is over after my last experience. After returning from a six month military deployment I brought my car in for service and multi-point inspection to make sure all was well. I stated that despite filling the tires the low pressure light kept coming on, and suspected a slow leak. I told the service representative that if I needed no tires it was no issue, just call and I'll authorize it. After service I was told all that was needed was an air filter replacement. (Photo 2)For a month more the tire continued to leak, and the wipers obviously needed to be replaced. I reached out to the service representative who told me to contact him with issues, and never heard anything back. (Photo 3)Finally I called and scheduled an appointment and was setup with a different representative at the Kakaako location closer to home. They confirmed what I already knew, and replaced four tires and the wiper blades. They discounted me $150 for service. (Photo 4)When I came to pick up the vehicle the alloy rims were covered in dirt and grime. I couldn't believe they wouldn't even wipe them with a rag.Upon further inspection I noticed scratches on the rims and complained to the service representative. He told me I could take it to another place out in Waipahu to get an estimate and they MIGHT cover it.He insisted that his staff could not have scratched it, and were so meticulous they would report if anything was damaged. This is untrue because they lost one of the custom valve caps and replaced it with a piece of plastic. (Photos 5 & 6)It's no longer about money. Now it's about time and an understanding of what a car like this means to a customer. I will not take my valuable time to get an estimate to fix a mistake their shop made. They also will not be making Scion anymore. So those custom valve caps are now irreplaceable. I've already looked online.Do not go to Servco if you actually love your car.

I'm duly impressed as every person I encountered here was friendly, personable, and highly efficient. Phillip went far beyond expectations in explaining features and functions on my car I wasn't even aware of. I definitely will be returning whenever my car needs servicing. They are pricey, but know what they are doing.

Everything from emails, texts, and phone tells you to come in at a set time for an appointment. My experience: Arrive and drop off vehicle at 1005am. I return at 1:40pm and see my car parked, optimistic that work was complete based on a Toyota recall...not a personally induced situation. I ask the service department, whom calls the service consultant that tell me the car has not been touched yet. Calm and collective I have to explain what it expectation management and to avoid misleading with a "Appointment" time to only not have an efficient system in place but a first come, first serve type setup. Now the manager is going to get my car in next for a labor job that is about 2-3 hours. So my whole day is spent waiting based on a ineffective and inefficient system.Major customer service failure. My next complaint is to the corporate office, but I will hold to see where this all end being that they close at 6pm, its Saturday, and it 1:55pm. Hmmm.

Gotta take care of the car. Clean waiting room and there's a Hui car share right there too. The service reps are friendly and knowledgeable. I like that they make recommendations and let me decide if I want to take care of it myself.

Overall, I had a great experience here.Had some issues with the brake system. Originally, they gave me a pretty large price tag but then it turned out it was covered under a warranty or recall. Got a loaner car for a day. Great service, friendly staff, will be back again!

I called to book toyota Honolulu first and they said the wait tine is long, we ll book you at the other one (this location) and you don t need to wait more then 30 min. I came at 8:40 which was my appointment time, they checked me in at 9 and said they need 2 hours for oil change. When I said that the receptionist booked me here specifically because she said it will jot take more then 30 min, they said, sorry, we re busy. I have a toddler, single mom, and my day is impossible to organize! This is just not professional at all!

I love being able to make an appointment online! When I arrived I was promptly greeted and checked in. They explained everything well to me when they did a walk around of my car, asked me questions about my concerns. I felt heard, and that I wasn't being taken advantage of since I am girl. They ask what the best type of communication is, I picked text messaging and they even sent an email with the summary of my visit as well as pictures to go along with. It was the best communication I've ever had dropping off my vehicle anywhere! I was able to pay online before I got there so I just picked up my keys and left!

Gave it 4 stars because of the way I was treated at the service center front desk. The technician who greeted me and got me checked in for service was pleasant and nice. When I walked into the waiting room I was asked to complete the online health screening. As I was doing so, one of the ladies at the desk radioed that the waiting room was full. Then they told me the waiting room was full and asked me to leave even though there were empty seats, placed at appropriate space apart in order to comply with the social distancing guidelines. Then 2 other customers walked in, as I was leaving, and were asked to complete the health screening and welcomed to have a seat.

Made a same day appointment online, had a diagnostic done and estimate in a timely manner. I felt they were honest about the repairs needed and the communication is ongoing and easy.Follow up: the repair lasted about one month, and the car had to be towed back. Even though the failure was due to their error for not tightening screws on an ordered part, they still charged for the fix.

Every time my car needs maintenance I go there. The professional staff make me feel comfortable that my car will be checked and be road ready the next time I get it my car. They check and fix everything in a timely manner. The agent that helps sign your car in is always in contact with and let's you know in detail what's going or what needs to be done. They are efficient especially with the safety of staff and customers, there's a protocol to dropping off and picking up your vehicle so that everyone stays safe .

Friendly, thorough service. I recommend scheduling an earlier appointment if you plan to wait for your car and want to grab a bite because most of the eateries in the area seem to close by 2pm. Waiting area is clean, socially distanced, with a soda machine and tv.

Literally the cleanest auto shop I've ever been in and the waiting room was nice too. Free water and coffee with vending machines that had plenty of snacks. Very fast complimentary wifi, I was watching YouTube and Netflix with no lag.I had to wait 2 hours to get my car serviced but it was very pleasant. All the staff was very kind too, if my car needs to get serviced again at least I know it'll be a nice experience.

I went to Servco Toyota because this is the first time I have ever owned a vehicle and I do not know all the little insider bits of wisdom a person accumulates through experience. I thought the dealership would be the most legit, it would have the parts, and be competitively priced. When I told people my reasoning they laughed. " Don't you know the dealership is the most expensive? If you're under warranty it is fine but if not don't go there." Another person said, "I go to Servco for maintenance, Lex Brody for brakes and tires, and I found place on Queen Street for Toyota." I hoped they were wrong. I dealt with Vince who was very nice. He even waited to see if I was coming to pick up my car but exigent circumstances prevented me from picking it up the same day. I was able to leave or overnight for free. I suppose it should have been free sine they did not do anything. The parts were not in stock and it will take 7-10 days to receive them. What was this $140 bill paying for? The response: diagnosis. That was the cost for them to look at the car and tell me what I had told them when I brought the car to them in the first place. I paid $140 for nothing. Does everyone get treated this way? My paranoia is kicking in and I feel I must disclose to you, my valued readers, that I tend to be unreasonably suspicious and feel insulted over nothing. But that does not make me wrong when I think I detect a rip off. Or does it? Is it reasonable to pay $140 just to have the car looked at? Another friend concluded: "that's why you support your local businesses, not the big national chain stores. Cross your fingers snd hope the neighborhood mechanic is not a tweeker. You should be able to get a much better deal from a local mechanic who is not on the pipe."

They served my 2020 Corolla pretty well. I had to pick up a Hui car across the street, they took me in their courtesy van and dropped off. Car is running great now and able to go many more miles.

I absolutely love this dealership. They are so helpful and really understanding. I need some new parts for my car, but I wasn't too sure exactly. And they let me come in, had a look at my car and helped me order the right parts. I will continue to come here for service.

So much quicker to get servicing done now that the new facility is up. Made my appointment the week before for 2 vehicles. It used to take 3 months. Service was good, quick, and reasonably priced.

Awesome overflow service center to the original Servco Service Center across the street at the dealership. This secondary location houses a humongous repair area and a decent waiting room with TV & free coffee and tea.Repairs at this location is almost always available, compared to the other location, and they also have free shuttle service depending on your location.

ANOTHER BUSINESS THAT CANNOT RETURN CALLS! But when they want you to buy a car, they ll call everyday 2xs a day! I have a problem with a car purchased from SERVCO And the service writer couldn t answer my question. I ve been taught in customer service work, if you don t know the answer, it s my job to find out and get back to the customer. No call back! And their recording is automated about 5-7 minutes long and wait on hold 12-15 minutes. That s a lot of time wasted only to get someone who cannot answer my question. I hope some other company that services Toyota comes in, and perhaps offer some real customer service.
