Master Tech Auto is outstanding. Every time I've brought my car in for repairs they have been accurate in their diagnostics, clear about what needed to be repaired and what it will cost. They have never trying to sell me something I did not need. And they have always gone the extra mile to ensure I was safe on the road before a trip. I now have a friend from Atlanta who brings his car to Master Tech because there is simply not enough good things you can say about their professionalism and expertise. I won't take my car anywhere else.

I had a smell and smoke coming from the right passenger side hood of my F 150 Platinum. I dropped it off at Master Tech Auto, the next day, Tim Bolt the owner sends over a $3,378 dollar estimate telling me one of my turbos are leaking internally. 2,069.00 dollars, 20 parts at an insane upcharge after looking up each one. I just wanted my truck fixed, the smoke worried me. I get my truck back, over the next 10 days I can still smell and see smoke even worse than it was before I brought it in. I took it back to have him look at it. He gets me under the truck, explains my truck was "pissing oil everywhere" mind you not a spot of oil on my garage floor. He then shows and tells me the right valve cover gasket is seeping oil, causing the smell and smoke, which is why I brought it in the first place. He then proceeds to write e another $740.00 estimate to replace the valve gasket covers, he said I might as well do them both, and took 3 hours of labor off, down to $440.00. I just paid this man $3,378 dollars and he just basically admitted to not fixing the original issue. I went home to research and pretty much figured out that he just took full advantage of me being a woman and really not knowing what or why. I called him very upset, he was very nasty, rude and defensive. Asked me what I wanted, I said to have my truck fixed. He then said to bring back the following week and he would replace ONE gasket free of charge. At this point, I could not or did not trust him to touch my truck, free or not. He replaced a turbo that was never the issue. My truck is now in another shop getting the actual repair done. I am spending $4,080.00 to repair a cracked right gasket cover which caused the oil leaking, smell and smoke. HE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. I just want others to know what he did to me and proceed with caution and be aware of what he is estimating and or quoting you to repair your vehicle. He doesn't even deserve A star.

The computer board on my 2010 Ford Flex broke. I was worried about taking it to the dealer for fear of being over charged. I asked a couple of friends who they would recommend. They recommended Master Tech Auto. Mr Bolt was very knowledgeable. His staff repaired my car at a very reasonable price. There were a few bumps along the way, but everything worked out. Mr Bolt kept me posted the entire time. I had to reschedule a couple of appointments due to health issues and a busted water pipe, and Mr Bolt was very understanding and worked with me on rescheduling.I'm very pleased with the repairs. He had his staff fixed a clock on the dash at no charge. Thank you Mr Bolt and staff. I will be back when my car needs repairs or routine service.

I have been taking my Ford F-150 here for years. Tim and the crew take very good care of my vehicle. I highly recommend if you want a local mechanic that shoots straight and runs a great honest business.

Very rudeThe repairs are under either mine or my husband's name, We have had 2 of our vehicles worked on there, the last being a Ford F-150. I called to check on the truck and was rudely told that you were very busy and that my husband had already called for an update. 2nd i was asked which one of us you should even be speaking to about the truck. I tried to explain that he was a truck driver and our schedules were a lot different but the gentlemen that i spoke with didn't seem to care. I understand that this day and age a lot of companies are under staffed and the employees that are working get over whelmed but that is no excuse to be rude to a customer.

I have been taking my vehicles to Master Tech Auto for over 16 years. I would never trust my vehicle to anyone else. Tim is very honest, trustworthy and reasonably priced. If it doesn't need to be fixed immediately, he doesn't try to push you to fix it. He's not a shade tree mechanic and is very intellectual! I never have any doubt about if my car is going to be fixed correctly when I pick it up! My family will continue to use Master Tech for years to come! Don't even think of retiring! Lol

Been using Mastertech for well over 12 years now. I took my Jeep into the dealer for some repair work and felt I was being taken advantage of and so I decided to give Tim a call. He saved me atleast $1000 on that visit alone. I have never trusted anyone with my vehicles but I have taken every one of mine to him to be worked on and never had any trouble. He will not push parts on you or tell you that you need something that you don't. Shop is clean and orderly and that is enough to show you what kind of business this is. Hard to find a legit auto repair place nowadays but this place is definitely the place to go for honest and great work.

Tim and his tech s are very professional. Reasonably repair prices and willing to go the extra mile for his customers. He repaired my wife Ford Escape which had a skipping engine problem and it s now running like purring kitten. We are very satisfied.

In 2001 I returned from a deployment to Bosnia with the army. I suffered a back injury while I was there so I was recovering at the local National Guard unit. I was having to travel back and forth to Atlanta for treatment, and my vehicle was in as bad shape as I was. While I was in Bosnia, my wife had to have our only vehicle repaired at a Winder mechanic (who is no longer in business). After several failed attempts to get him to fix a problem that he caused i was left stranded at fort McPherson.I had seen Master Tech Auto in passing and decided to give them a try. I was extremely pleased with the prompt professional service and even more so with their "we do it right the first time" attitude. After it was repaired for less than the quote my vehicle ran better than ever!Full disclosure, I'm now good friends with Tim the owner. However the above experience is how we met. Give them a try! You'll not regret it.

Visiting Winder Georgia for a few days. We had an accident in route in Atlanta. Stopped here to insure that our car was roadworthy enough to continue on our journey . Tim and his staff were so gracious and kind to us. In addition, we found their knowledge and expertise to be superior. Southern hospitality at it's best!

Called just to ask a question about an issue with steering after having suspension replaced at a different shop. The owner told me to come and let him take a quick look. Replaced a fuse and took care of the issue in just a few minutes. Would have been replacing my power steering pump had he not fixed the issue.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

My truck found it's way into several shops. And I spent over $1000 hoping someone could get it running right. Then I took it to Master Tech Auto and met Mr. Bolt. He kept it one day and it was ready. Now it runs as good as when it was new. He does excellent work. And Mr.Bolt seem's to be a really good guy.

Terrible experience, they showed me no concern for my issues with my truck after quoting a timing set repair at a charge of $1,500 for the repair and in less than a 10 mile ride home by the owner, and his commits about my nice subdivision, 180k + homes I get a call back that the repair was going to cost $2,300, Since he was going to use OEM parts ( I made it clear I wanted OEM Ford parts) and giving me a 2 year parts and labor warranty, I'm not from Winder and don't know any of the business here, I said OK, I should have known better, because of the looks of the shop, and that cat jumping all over everywhere, after the repair still had the same condition, and oil spots everywhere inside( carpet, seats front and back) he said drive it a bit and see if it will get better, he said I think you have a stuck lifter, it didn't get any better, really worse, now he said I needed lifters and rockers, another $1,200 repair, using OEM parts. I carried the truck back because I didn't want to do anything to void the warranty 3 weeks later after several phone call excuses for the delay in completing the work. One excuse was he said once the truck called for 5 different types of lifters and they ordered the wrong ones, I asked how did Ford get that wrong, now he say he wasn't using OEM Ford part, I said look we agreed on OEM part, that I didn't want any cheap parts from China ( all of the reviews will tell you if you plan to keep the vehicle Do Not Use the cheap parts, get the Ford OEM). Long story short 3 weeks later I get a call saying the truck was ready, and after they put the wheels back on I could pick it up, I asked why did you take the wheels off for an under the hood engine repair he said you know how it is big boys don't bent over high hood to good. WTH!!!! Went to get my truck after work, once I got there the tech wasn't there he had told me he was leaving early, however ever before I paid the bill the clerk needed the miles off the truck I told her I would get it for her. I decided to start the engine, still had the original reason I needed the repair (tapping noise). I went back in reported it, the tech came back, he and another shop guy showed and give me a rocker arm (1) and tried to say that was the problem ( I couldn't see anything wrong with the roller), I said the engine sound the same, he said not to him and the other shop guy, so he politely told me that he wasn't doing anything else to my truck, that I could take it, and my lady friend that was with me could leave his shop. I told him I wasn't satisfied and the original problems still wasn't fixed with either repair he did and I wanted him to honor the warranty, he said again you are welcome to leave and I didn't owe him anything. So I asked him to give me a invoice stating that, but I was still not satisfied.

Thank you, you should clear the cost of services so that informed decisions can be made by the customer. 10/20/2017 changed review to reflect the mess these people left in our car. The engine needs to be replaced and when we took the car back to them for this diagnosis, after they fixed the car the first time. The diagnostic test was 70 but the lady did not say that. All I had was 50. The owner was so rude and mouthy. So, the tow truck came and got it for 50, on top of the 400 we paid to have it repaired initially. They left all the parts off the engine and just thrown in the vehicle.

Asked for a detailed estimate. They sent it but left out the need for an AC evac and recharge to do the repair, which when asked they said would be an additional $140. I asked what other unknown charges I would get. CricketsEstimate # 220502462Perhaps this will refresh your memory.

My car is fixed, yes. But they never called me to talk about pricing or exactly what needed to be repaired. They just went ahead and repaired my car and demanded money. I never gave any written or verbal consent to repair "whatever needed to be repaired".Owner was very rude and the rest of the employees I had contact were rude. I would strongly encourage you to look for a more professional shop.

My wife called them and was told they could do what was needed to be done to her car. It was around 11:20 when she called and the lady told her that the guys go to lunch @ 12:00 , but that it would be ok to go ahead and bring the car by. I got there around 11:40 and told them what I needed them to look at and the guy had a really bad attitude and let me know that they went to lunch @ 12 and I said ok it is only 11:40. He said you can leave it & we will look at it at 1:00. I explained to him that my wife has called and said that they could do it now, and he said no we will look at it after lunch. Seemed like he could care less whether he had my business or not. Will never go back to this place, they need lessons on how to treat their customers!!!

I have used Master Tech for years and have watched him with other customers and he always seems fair. I know for a fact he will not sell you something you do not need. He has worked on 5 different trucks for me over the years and will get on to me for letting something go, if that is bad customer service I will take it all day long.
