Highly recommend that you stop by if you re passing through. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. They even have a mini shop in the front of the restaurant where you can buy some of their cheeses to take home. You can also order from their website and they hand wrap all their cheeses for delivery. The Thomasville Tomme and Green Hill cheeses are a must have.

My husband and I had lunch at the Sweet Grass Dairy Cheese Shop. We had the Staff Favorites Charcuterie Board, my husband had the big cheese with bacon and I had a scoop of the chicken salad with a spinach salad. We also had a few glasses of their red wines. Everything was delicious. I have a gluten intolerance and had no trouble finding something to eat. We both thought all the cheeses were some of the best we have had in a long time, very unique and flavorful. The staff are kind and helpful. If you get the chance go by and check this place out. Be sure to get a reservation if you can it's always in high demand.Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly

We enjoyed our 1st visit here at Sweet Grass. Our waiter was great and on point! Hummus nd Brussell sprouts were super. I had the cheese steak sandwich and it was "ok". The couple with us feels that they have recently changed some of the ingredients used in the dishes possibly to keep menu costs down? They stated the steak frites was a different cut of steak now and not as good as before. We might try them again when in the Thomasville area.

It was very busy, so during our wait, we got to explore amazing downtown. Once we notified our table was ready, we were seated promptly. The waitress immediately notified us of the items they were out of, so we knew not to consider those items. The waitress was able to provide a wine recommendation for our cheese board selection. The cheeses and all the other things on the board were amazing. The chicken salad was a bit bland, but not bad I spread some garlic aoli on it and it was just fine. The hand cut fries with the garlic aoli and bourbon ketchup were great. We definitely will visit again.

We went here for lunch on Saturday afternoon and it was packed, obviously a very popular place! We found seats at the bar and my husband and I split a Cheeseburger with the Pimento Cheese and Bacon Jam with French Fries and Garlic Aioli...yum! Good beers, yummy white wine and tge Bartender was fantastic...super friendly and efficient! We liked it so much, we went back after dinner for a glass of wine. We highly recommend it!

Why did I wait so long to come here! Great location in quaint historic town. Love the decor and feel inside the restaurant and sidewalk tables.It's amazing when you walk into a place and there is a kind of buzz of people chattering, laughing, enjoying great food, drinks, and fantastic cheese.Service was fantastic and it felt as though everyone (including guests! and kitchen staff!) were smiling a cheery!When can I come back?

*NOTICE TO CELIACS*My wife having celiac an auto immune disease to gluten (wheat, barley, and rye) we chose to have a date night here and us a business owners ourselves this is nothing against the restaurant or staff it was a great place with great food and atmosphere. But if you have this disease I wouldn't recommend the risk as my wife had an attack which we had a 1:30hr drive home that was not a fun time as she was in paralyzing pain the rest of the night. So again nothing against this establishment it was great even down to the service just posting for those few who have the disease for awareness!

Awesome staff and delicious food! Ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the cheese shop burger with pimento cheese and bacon jam. A sweet and salty to please the palette. Bar manager Natasha was so informative and let me know 100% of the menu could be customized to accommodate gluten-free. My gluten-free bun was so yummy! If you re gluten free or not this restaurant must be on your radar if you re in or passing through Thomasville!

We stopped here for lunch at the bar and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The staff members were very kind and the service was exceptional. DJ was our bartender and she is the best! Definitely will be back the next time we re in Thomasville!

A friend of a friend recommended this place for some drinks. At Sweet Grass Dairy Shop located in Thomasville, Ga off of South Broad Street, I was skeptical at first till we sat at the bar. The atmospheric decor and magnificent setting is very welcoming, from liquor bottles shelved on the wall to a place full of cheese and charcuterie. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sammy and a Long Island Ice Tea. The bartender prepared our drinks. "Liquid courage" I can taste the rum, tequila, vodka, lime etc. I took delight in that drink. As we sipped our drink and waited for our food to come out, the bartender kept us entertained. What an EXCELLENT bartender. When my food arrived it was a big piece of fried crispy chicken breast with chiffonade lettuce, tomato, and house ranch on brioche. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The season on the chicken was flavorful. The service here was A+ A+ A+ A+ A+. I mean EVERYTHING was just spectacular and stimulating at this location. Food and service is worth every penny. You will get your money's worth at this place. From the moment I walked into this place to the time I left this entity. The bartender (Ian) service is off the chart naturally (above and beyond). Staff is friendly, pleasant and clean and a very heart warming welcoming establishment . NEVER seen nothing like it. I love it when food is always prepared fresh. Food here is scrumptious. I will be back for more of this service.

We loved the environment and feel. The food was amazing. Cheese curds, brussles sprouts/spinach cheese dip, cheese steak, and pimento cheese burger were all stars and highly recommended. We are definitely going back.

My brother and I decided to take a spur of the moment road trip to Thomasville, I have always wanted to visit there and I asked one of the locals where was a good place to eat and Sweet Grass was the first place they recommended. I was not disappointed, the only complaint was the wobbly table we sat at, LOL! it was a gorgeous day so we wanted to eat outside. We both had the cheeseburgers, grass-fed beef and their own made cheese and the sauces that came with the burgers were really good! I don't normally eat red meat but this burger was fantastic! I was cooked perfectly and great quality taste, the fries were even great, not typical restaurant fries and to top it all of a coke from a glass bottle. Our waitress Crystal was awesome as well. Highly recommend and will visit again.

Great chicken sandwich buffaloed. Fries were on point. Cheese curds were amazing. Beat salad was very good too! Warm smokey beats in a salad was a first for me.

2017 My food was great! But waiter was quite distracted with a table full of beautiful young ladies.... he forgot to bring appetizer, food was warm from sitting (not hot), cashier ended up serving us - BUT despite this, the food tasted good... would have given 5 stars if food were served hot and on time! Will return and give them another go! Recipes and ingredients fresh local high quality! 2018 UPDATE returned a year later and had similar wait staff experience but food was excellent and fresh! 4.5 Stars! ... 2019 Dropped to 3.5 stars today, my waitress was right on but this time the Hanger Salad was a miss :-/ ... wobbly tables, flies everywhere, salad greens not sorted and seemed commercially supplied. Didn t get that fresh local crisp flavor like before... smh!

+ s | Best burger hands down! I love burgers! Get a single patty bacon cheeseburger with condiments and toppings on the side and dress it up yourself. The Thomasville Tomme cheese used on the burger is ! Fries are my favorite! s | Sweet tea needs a little work but they could easily copy and paste nearby Jonah s Restaurant tea for a perfect pairing or enjoy it with a cold coke.Update: When I ordered dine-in I got two full strips of bacon instead of the back. Jam. When I ordered to-go I got mostly fatty part of the bacon. So watch for that.

We have been meaning to go to this restaurant for a while and finally had the opportunity today. My son and I shared the spinach dip appetizer, which was, in a word, addictive. We couldn't stop eating it. It could have been the whole meal. For lunch, I had the fried chicken breast sandwich, which was so good. He had the Philly steak sandwich, which he enjoyed very much. The atmosphere and staff were phenomenal! We will definitely be back.

We sat at the bar to order food and our bartender was too busy making drinks forthe next day. We had to call her attention when we needed to order our food and when we needed another drink.

One of my favorite restaurants to bring my friends to who ve never gone to Thomasville. You can t go wrong with anything. We also recommend getting Charred Brussels and Spinach Dip!Pictured is the Cheese Steak Sandwich.
