Worst ace that I have ever been to. It looks nice, but if you have more than one tattoo, you will be followed around the store in a very non discrete manner. I was with my 13 year old son, and it was so obvious that he said something to me about it. I bought some lumber among other things, and when I pulled around to get it loaded up, they didn't speak a word to me except to say your ticket. It was 2 guys for 3 pieces of lumber, so it's not a hard job. They did not speak once it was loaded just walked off so I had no idea they were done. Would rather have loaded my own lumber but was just given the option. By the time I pulled across the street to orilleys, the lumber had fallen off my truck. Not any type of big bumps or anything there, so the lumber er was just thrown up there. Called today to say something about it and was told it wasn't their job to make sure it wad secure. Seems like if I can't pick my own wood or load it, then why would I secure it. Then come to find out once I've made the first cut that the 2x6 I was given was not ground contact but above ground lumber. Was told it would be a week before the manager was there for me to speak to about it. Real helpful ace

Ace of Gray has become a staple for my weekend projects. The staff has taken the time to ensure I know how to operate equipment I've rented (trencher, stump grinder, cement saw, and many others). The bulk yard materials (top soil, sand, mulch, river rocks, gravel, etc) are at a great price point. While they don't have everything I need, they always have the specialty items that I can't find at the big box stores.

I like this Ace simply bc it is convient but they know that and are a bit over priced vs. Home Depot or Lowes. They have cute gift items and a great UGA section. Just be prepared to get out your credit card.

Nice people, $10 off coupon over $50 purchase wasn't working but they handled the issue. Ace is always our favorite.

Amazingly clean and stocked. I've never been to an Ace store this nice! Super friendly staff, gorgeous garden area and they have such a wide selection of trees and plants plus such cute gift merchandise. My son loved the koi pond. I'll definitely be back there!

Very helpful. I knew what I was looking for and was pointed in a direction the gentleman came to see if I found the product I said no explained what I was looking for again and told him that there website shows in stock. I gave him the number from the website and he was able to walk me over to the item. Was strange that was in a different location but the item was not for a pool but for ponds. He learned something new today.

Safe out Great is great. There are a couple of people there that know just about everything about the store including the locations of items. One person, Rick, is the one I usually talk to. He's super great. Thanks Rick for all your knowledge and helping me with all my DIY needs.

Ace in Gray Ga are good people to do business with. Needed two keys cut for my son's car as it only came with one when he bought it. Trying to give our business to my local Ace in our home town I called to see if they could cut the key blanks he ordered and to get a price from them. Local Ace said they wouldn't cut the keys because we didn't buy them from there. Curious, I asked local guy their price and got a major shock. They wanted nearly double the price to buy and cut one key from them compared to the two blanks my son ordered and had Ace in Gray cut. Called Ace in Gray and asked if they would cut our key blanks and the gentleman on the phone said they would be glad to do so. We had to take the 60 minute drive over there instead of the 15 minute trip to the local guys, but they made it well worth taking our business to them. They had to work on one of the keys a bit to get it where it would work in the car but the guy was very patient and kind and worked on the key until it was right. This required my son to take the key back in the store a few times until they got the key to work. Nice, courteous folks, big store, has a lot to choose from. They have earned my trust and business. Highly recommended, look forward to seeing them again.

I shop here frequently for my business. Employees are friendly and usually helpful. About 25% of the time they are out of stock or don't have what I am looking for. Hopefully they will improve on stocking items.They have been good lately having what I need in stock so I figured it would be good to update since they have much improved on stocking merchandise.

I feel mixed about this review, because I have visited this Ace Hardware 6 times over the past 2 days... And the first 5 out of 6 trips were decent.However, I was working in Gray today, 30 miles from home and 30 miles from my specialty tools. I was having an idle issue with my chainsaw and needed a tool to do a half spin on an idle screw. Yes, a half turn... 3 seconds top. Having spent $300 in this store in the past 36 hours, a normal human being and/or business that appreciated their customers should have no problem with allowing a customer to borrow a tool for 5 seconds right? Wrong.The guys at the service counter brought up some 'legality' issues. "It is actually against the law for us to allow you to borrow a tool... Or for us to sale it to you""Against the law" huh? The tool police are going to swoop in and put us all in Ace Hardware logo'ed handcuffs... I pleaded with the guys and explained: "Guys, I still have a full day ahead of me, and the tool I need is 60 miles round-trip from here... Man, come on... As a human being..."Their response: "Well we are a Stihl dealer and 'that there' chainsaw is a Husqvarna..."I was waiting for a punchline, but they were serious.On my departure from the store, I ran into a manager and started to explain myself and predicament... He didn't give two craps either. I said, "man, you guys must make a ton of money here because you sure don't appreciate your customers... Dude, I probably will never set foot in here again..."Managers response: "okay."Little does he know: I am building 3 houses 2 miles away, and I am super stubborn. So, I won't be back. Headed home to do a half spin on a screw, then headed to Lowe's.

Very professional and friendly staff at parts dept. They are very knowledgeable about parts for your mower. Have you ever bought a belt for your Lawn Tractor and when you try to install it's the wrong length? That is why even tho I live south of Macon I don't mind the drive. I have been buying parts from Ace of Gray over five years and was NEVER sold a part that didn't fit. Prices are very reasonable also. Five star rating as far as I'm concerned. Try it,I think you will agree....

I had heard wonderful things about this store they are true. This was my first visit, I will be back and often. They have a wonderful gift shop. I crossed out 3 people on my gift list. The staff is friendly, nice selection and clean always a plus.

First time there. I had some keys cut. Their key station has a large selection of keys and key fobs at a reasonable price, 2/3's - 3/4 cheaper than the dealerships, quite impressive.

I called to find a belt for my cub cadet mower as my wife had met an employee at her own job as a server. The gentlemen was very nice and recommended she should shop there for our parts. Well I spoke to Charles in power equipment and he was not the same gentlemen. He was not very nice. He was short with me and told me "before I keep rambling" about my mower part. This was not good customer service. Don't drive out of your way for this place. When they were hiring for his job they should have kept on looking

I loved this place, until now. We are in the process of rebuilding our deck and have spent a lot of money on lumber and materials in this store. My husband bought some screws at the Ace in Macon. They were poor quality. He went to the Ace in Gray, and they refused to take them back since they were bought at another Ace. Bad business to lose a long time customer who has spent thousands over $40.

Nice store. Lots of stuff. Clothes, shoes. Quick grab and go gifts for any occasion. Really nice store, a bit expensive. Handy to have for Last minute fill in gift, birthday, anniversary etc.

Cute place, however the young fella in the lumber yard was no where to be found when it came time to get my lumber. If I weren't as honest as I am I could have loaded my truck up with all the lumber I wanted. To the young lady inside singing....good job!

Ace of Gray is a good hardware store and so much more! This place has the most unique gift shop; everything from clothing, home decor, jewelry, baby gifts, children's toys, and of course then there's the entire hardware store. The people are always helpful and friendly here.

I loved there store. Help in the gardening department. A lot of charm. I needed help loading large flowers and I pulled up to the door and they brought them out. I will be going back.

First time to go in this Ace Store. The biggest one, so much in side as well as in the nursery, not just a hardware store. We were in a hurry. Looking for "Grampa's weeder", but they were out. Got a GA Dawg decal and some succulents instead. Will try to go back and see the rest of gift and flowershop.

I have dealt with the people at Ace Hardware of Gray, Georgia for quite a few years now. Their people are VERY knowledgeable about their departments, and every body bends over backwards to ensure that you get the right item or part that you are looking for. If it wasn't for this Ace Hardware my equipment and my disposition would be in very sad shape. If you need parts for your mower or anything in hardware you need to check these people out first. They ARE the Ace Helpful Hardware People!
