My son s Volkswagen CC transmission needed to be replaced. The dealership wanted to charge more than we could afford. We began searching around for a mechanic who knew their way around Volkswagen vehicles and wouldn t break the bank, so we found Lewis Motorwerk. I am glad to say, we were not disappointed, and I can t speak highly enough of Lewis Motorwerks. They definitely were the best choice. They are very knowledgeable, professional and cost efficient. They worked fast and the car was completed as promised. It runs great! I really appreciated their honesty and I certainly felt they were just as concerned as we were about my son s vehicle. Phil and his brother Nick took the time to explain and educate us on the extra stuff that was going on and were very honest and straightforward. I have an older Volkswagen 2005 and we will definitely be going back for our auto service needs. We were so pleased all around with Lewis Motorwerks!

If you are a VW or Audi owner in the metro Atlanta area, Lewis Motorwerks should be your number 1-stop for all your repair and maintenance work. I trust the Lewis partnership (Phil and Nick) with my 2 VW Passats. Whenever you walk in a facility, your 1st impression will be marked by the friendliness of the owner & staff and the cleanness of the facility. That box was checked for me immediately. Next you want an accurate diagnosis of the issue and a clearly explained plan of action on how the issue will be resolved. Checked! You would also expect quality work as opposed to short-term quick fixes that would get you back in the shop in no time, while keeping the cost low or reasonably priced. Checked! Next, I appreciate the transparency and honesty. For example, services not needed won t be executed or charged. The Lewis staff may point out a few items that you should have on your list for next time, so you can plan and budget if it s not urgent. One of my VWs with 120k miles experienced acceleration issues and engine lights came on days before its scheduled maintenance. Phil diagnosed the issue professionally and knew right away that the throttle body was causing the problem. He recommended a replacement but offered cleaning/repairing the old part 1st as there was a slim chance for a much cheaper fix. It demonstrates how Phil and Nick will always prioritize quality of service while keeping the cost down. After the repair/replacement (with warranty!) and maintenance tasks were completed, I drove home a happy VW owner knowing that my car was going to be reliable again until the next maintenance appointment.

Had a wonderful experience. He fixed my car for a quarter of the price the dealership quoted me. Would highly recommend! Fair and honest.

Great guys. I called for a simple oil change and service which they were able to perform promptly and at a reasonable price.The icing on the cake in terms of service was that we were having trouble with a malfunctioning TPMS unit on an older vehicle. Basically the car kept warning us there was a flat tire when there wasn't one, along with large graphic on the dash and annoying beep.Lewis Motorwerks quoted whatever price it cost to get and install a replacement TPMS unit (or perhaps they said it could only be done by a dealership, I can't fully recall). It was expensive, not their fault. I mentioned that I had done some research and had seen a YouTube video where the faulty TPMS unit could be disabled via computer.The gentleman said "Well let's try it!" right there and then. We did, the offending unit was disabled within 5 minutes. And no charge! Amazing service and great folks. Won't hesitate to use them as long as we have this VW.

My first time, after recommendations from friends and neighbors, I called Mr. Phil and tried explaining issue with my Jetta. He immediately understood the issue, but asked I bring my vehicle in just to be sure. Brought it in the next day; he confirmed the problem. He immediately determined the fix and cost. Picked it up at end of day. Extremely happy and satisfied with the quality, speed to getting my Jetta repaired, and the cost. I wholeheartedly recommend this business. Thank you Mr. Phil and Lewis Motorweks team!!!

I highly recommend this shop, they are an expert at their craft and very passionate about Audis and Volkswagen. This shop is an absolute gem and I wouldn't hesitate the least bit to have my vehicle worked on here. Transparency, talent, and honesty is what sets this shop apart from your average shop.

Great service! Honest, fair prices, quick, and efficient. I've moved since I first started using them, but I gladly drive past a bunch of other shops to get to Lewis. You won't be sorry if you give them a try!

I bought a used car from a shady dealer that patched up the car to work good enough for a few days and then everything starting to hit me at once. These guys have worked on my car from day one and I keep going back because I trust them! These guys have replaced a very long list and have done an excellent job in guiding me on maintenance and repairs. I've done the dealership fluff but these guys are providing a service with great work and honesty as a core.

This shop has bailed me out of 2 potential crises. The first was when my 2010 Audi Q7 fuel door would not open (!); they took me in the same day and had the issue fixed within an hour. The second issue was that my same car had a rather large misfire in Cylinder 1, and, again, he took me in and replaced the spark plug within 30 minutes. Crises notwithstanding, they are consistently excellent and do not overcharge for projects nor do they start with the most expensive item to replace/repair. I will continue to bring my car here, and recommend anyone do so also. Thanks to the Team at Lewis Motorwerks!

I am more than satisfied with my service at Lewis Motorwerks. I was told by 2 other VW specialists that I would need a $2300 repair but thought I would get a 3rd opinion from these guys and oh how happy I am that I did. That $2300 quote turned into a measly $350 fix which I can t say how appreciative I am of Phil & Nick. Not only did they save me a bucket load of money on my immediate issue, but they also sent me to the dealer for another very costly problem they found because it was covered under a recall that I had no idea about. Again, another bucket load of savings. I highly recommend Lewis Motorwerks for not only their workmanship, but also for their honesty.

I really believe and trust this place.The auto machics are very good.My car 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan shows me a new car condition when I get back here.I'm really glad I have a place to trust and leave it.I recommend this place to everyone!!!

The BEST Mechanics Ever!!!! I've used Lewis Motorwerks for over 15 years. I very highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for fair, honest, creative :) and efficient VW and Audi mechanics. They are a family owned company who are very ethical. I always felt comfortable that Lewis was not trying to take advantage of me being a female. They always explained the problem, options and suggested fix. Lewis has always provided me with great advice on options for repair, taking into account my budget vs critical to fix items. It is very difficult to find honest, fair and dependable mechanics. You will find all of these characteristics at Lewis Motorwerks!!

This is a competent, hardworking, family operated business. These guys have been in a position to completely take advantage of me but did the right thing by informing me exactly what was going on with my vehicle. I was quoted a price to repair my faulty window that I agreed to over the phone. However, when I got to the shop, the guy told me that the cost was going to be less that half of what was quoted. He could have easily charged what I originally agreed to pay and I would have been none the wiser. It makes me feel good to know that there are still honest people out there. I highly recommend Lewis Motorwerks!

Hey everyone, Lewis Motorwerks is the go-to place to get your car fixed. The honesty and integrity of the people that works here is beyond the roof. Almost great service. Been here before, and they fixed a problem(transmission) others have had problems with getting right(though wheel well cover mysteriously vanished)BUT... The last time I went, the transmission went bad after a year (not their fault as it was a used replacement-), and they had the car almost 2 weeks before deciding they no longer wanted to work on my car... Saying it was delayed (after I called wondering what was going on) because of a code (then when the code cleared, it was because there were NO codes?!- even though the problem is evidently the transmission) ... They wanted to pitch at the problem, describing A"LIKELY" fix... In the end Mechanics are good, but they'll try to squeeze every dime out of you.

Called at 9am, came in at 9:30, out by 11:30 with a fix. Walked me through the issue and gave me the options. Totally reasonable and very helpful. Going to bring my GTI exclusively here now, after it had been abused at other shops. Great people.

Let me tell you these guys do great work. Here is my story. So I was having an issue with my 2012 Volkswagon Jetta. Originally I thought it was the throttle body due to it not accelerating. Eventually the car did not start. I took my vehicle to 3 other shops before taking it to these guys. The first shop had no idea what to do. I then had the car towed to a Volkswagen specialist shop (Not Lewis) and they diagnosed the vehicle. They came to the conclusion it needed a new EMC and it would take 4 days for it to come in. After the 4 days the part comes in and is installed. THe car still would not start. Finally I gave in and towed the vehicle to the Volkswagen service department in Chamblee. They diagnosed the car and came back with a 4900 dollar quote due to 2 of the cylinders not working. Basically I need a new engine. They said it would take 5 days for parts and repair. Keep in mind I was already out of vehicle for about a week already. I ran with my gut and did not pay them for the repairs. I finally drop it off to Lewis Motorworks and they found that my cylinders were working perfectly fine. All my car need was a new set of wires and an emission coil. They repaired the vehicle, changed my timing belt. They did this all in one day. My final quote was 1100 dollars. I gracefully paid them and they sent me on my way. Through all the struggle I am grateful to these guys. I would recommend them to any would needs work on there vehicle. They were professional and was available to repair my vehicle in a timing manner. Thank you Lewis Motorworks.

I don't know what the previous review was talking about, I recently took my A4 into this mechanic because my neighbor recommended it (he has a diesel VW bug) and could not be more satisfied. The owner Phil was very pleasant and actually laid out the repairs I needed in order of level of necessity not price. In fact he was able to recommend which parts were interchangeable between VW and AUDI and which had to be AUDI, saving me a bunch of money on parts. I highly recommend this shop to any VW or AUDI owner.

Had to drop off my car to get the fuel pump replaced as well as some leaking caskets. These guys took great care of the problems and through the process of fixing the issues noticed that the plugs in the car were the wrong ones. They replaced them for free with. I highly recommend Lewis Motorworks.

Wow this shop is probably the best VW repair shop your going to find ththeththey located my problem and performed the repair for a good price and it was professional from start to finish the lead mechanic Nick is a genius and a good guy also and the rest of the team are great guys also they made me feel right at home. If you want your car done right so you dont have to keep coming back come to this shop.
