I called KO Automotive in Cartersville because my Uber driver had recommended them and mentioned that they were an honest auto repair shop. They could not do the repairs on my transmission so I asked for an honest transmission guy and they recommended Richard @ Quality Transmission. Richard could not fix the Expedition because it needed computer programming - he could have charged me whatever he wanted for a diagnostic fee but he didn't charge me anything. You know Ford charges $149-199 to diagnose before they rip you off with their ridiculous hourly labor rate. So then Richard recommended Terry at Skene Transmission and I found another truthful and reliable mechanic. I hope they both stay in business for a long time.Service: Transmission

Richard is fantastic very informative and friendly, the car lot service manager that had my car taken to Quality on the other hand was a nightmare was without my car for around 3 weeks because of service manager communication, let's just say there was none. Richard at Quality was the only communication I had. Thank you for the great work and being so nice and understanding, I highly recommend Quality Transmission for your transmission needs. After the owner response I feel I need to update this review, it was not Quality Transmissions fault it took so long first week was service manager at car lot dropped the ball. Just know that great work takes time and I'm very pleased with the work completed by Quality on my car. Thank you Quality Transmission..

Richard did a phenomenal job and was communicative throughout the whole job! He gave me multiple options and fair prices, making sure I had a solid repair for a price that fit my budget. Fantastic experience, great customer service! Very pleased! My Chevy Silverado transmission stopped shifting properly and I was referred to Richard by a friend who owns a repair shop and he told me he used Richard for all his transmission repairs. After diagnosing my problem, he explained my options and I decided on a complete rebuild with a three year warranty! He was very thorough and explained everything in detail that he would be doing. Richard had me up and going in less than a week! I highly recommend Richard at Quality Transmission of Bartow Co for anyone that needs transmission repairs!! By the way, a great guy and very interesting to talk with!

Richard at Quality Transmission was the best! My Trailblazer died. I had it towed to the dealer near him to turn it back in. Even though he was busy with other jobs, he took the time to walk out and look at my vehicle. Turns out it was a simple fix. He is honest (which is VERY hard to find in a mechanic) I'm so grateful he did that for me! I will use Quality Transmission again and I will HIGHLY recommend to everyone I know!!! I only wish he did other mechanical work, but he does what he is best at!!!

I brought my 2007 Ford Explorer Ironman Edition in to have the transmission rebuilt... I've waited to write this review until I had put some miles on it, 3,000 miles later the truck is running just like it was brand new. I couldn't be happier with the service or professionalism that I received from Richard.Also the warranty he provided me is second to none. I've referred some people his way. Should I have any problems with any other vehicles.. Quality Transmission will be my first stop. Thanks Richard.

I broke down on a moving trip... Richard was able to overhaul, upgrade my transmission and had me on my way in 24 hours!! The repairs were flawless and the transmission performed better than when I bought the vehicle new!! Great job and highly recommended!!

My 04 Dodge Dakota was in need of a Transmisson rebuild in a bad way. I bought this truck fresh off the transport hauler having on 12 miles on her. I have done 98% of the couple repairs she has needed over the 248,000 miles I've put on her so when the trans decided it was time I stopped in Richards shop and after talking with him I knew he was a man that I could trust and he knew Transmissons inside and out! I couldnt be more happy with the price and the work!!! I dont think she shifted this smooth when I bought her! Dont think twice if your in need of transmisson repair he is the man!!! Small privately owned business...Richard is VERY smart and honest.He rebuilt my GMC Yukon's transmission for MUCH less than another shop which installs the "factory" rebuilt and gave a 3-year, 100,000 mi warranty.A little hard to find, use satellite view on Maps.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

By far the best transmission shop I have ever used. They rebuilt a transmission for my Dodge truck a few years ago with 72000 miles. The truck now has over 300000 miles on it and still pulls a trailer everyday with no problems. Excellent work and very knowledgeable.

This is the best transmission shop that I know of. Richard gave me a tour of his shop and I was very impressed by what I saw. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and if I ever need transmission work again, I will definitely go back to Richard. I am very pleased with the service I received there.

On vacation from Texas and transmission went out for the fourth time from rebuilds in Texas. Same problem, forward clutch pack failed...again. Had truck towed to Quality Transmissions. Met Richard, the owner, and he have me a tour of his shop. Most transmission shops are parts replacers and their diagnostic tools are a visual inspection. Richard has the equipment to completely rebuild valve bodies to make them as good as new. Richard rebuilt my valve body (big part of my trannys problem). He also said the forward clutch pack was built with inadequate clearance and there were parts missing from the overdrive section. Richard kept me informed of the progress throughout the rebuild and the final price was cheaper than he quoated when you factor in the upgraded torque converter I requested. Have about 500 miles on rebuild, 300 of which is pulling a 10k 5th wheel. Three year warranty too. Take it to Quality to get a high quality rebuild at a very reasonable price

Very friendly and knowledge technician. Be sure to take your tranny to Richard BEFORE it needs an overhaul. Keep em flushed and the fluid fresh. 1996 Ford Ranger with 500,000 + miles on it I want a rebuild but too expensive for the value of the truck. Excellent diagnostics on the test drive. Thanks!

I was having major slipping, torque, engine racing, and slipping out of gear problems. Set up a time to get it checked at Quality Transmission.After spending nearly an hour testing and troubleshooting my problems, I was informed that the problem was not a transmission problem. They also gave me the information I needed to fix it myself.The real surprise, NO CHARGE for the testing/troubleshooting at all. GREAT Service. There is no question in my mind who I am going to use and recommend for any transmission problems: Quality Transmission of Bartow County.

One of the most honest guy around,very knowledge in what he does would tell anyone who has a promblem with their transmission to go to him. Great customer service all around a great experience. Being from out state (Vermont)Was treated like a best friend helping someone out and could've token us for a ride. Thank you so much for the last minute help got us in and out in a very short time and back on the road. Highly recommend him for any job.

Says they are open until 6 but were closed when we got there at 5.EDIT: We did get out of the car. The door to the business was locked and the lights were out. No one was inside. We were traveling and stranded. I could have left one star because the service we needed wasn't provided but I left 3 and a text review in case someone else traveling through got stranded in Cartersville tried to find somewhere open after 5. How were we supposed to know the random dude walking around way in the back in the rain worked there? If you saw us sitting there desperately making phone calls when we pulled up and realized your place was closed why didn't you approach us?

Always quality work and excellent customer service. I live an hour away and it was worth the drive to have Richard and Austin install the a transmission. Great job!!!!

I had a hummer that would not shift and had been in 2 shops I pulled it from my current shop and took it here after referral from other people , WOW within 2 hours shop owner was calling me saying it was ready, broken wire . Thank you very much. hummer is driving awesome now.. and best of all NO FEE. Will be back here for all my needs.
