I sent my recently purchased truck to Transmatics. I expected to have a costly list of repairs, as it was running like absolute garbage.These are guys you can trust. I wouldn t have batted an eye if they had quoted me $1k. I wouldn t have known the difference, but they did exactly what they said, I picked up my previously non driving truck, and drove away for $200.If I do have a major repair in the future, There s no other place I d rather spend my money.

Leon's a great guy, no pushing for unnecessary services. Great service at affordable cost. This place is a bit tricky to find, just drive to the end of parking lot. He needs to bring the board closer to the road or make it bigger. Its almost almost always a drop off, so drop your vehicle and call them to get the updates.

The automatic gearbox on our Mercedes B180 just stopped, it sounded like a manual jumping out of gear. The gr�a took it to the garage we purchased it from. After two days they admitted they couldn t fix it. Friend s recommendation Nick. It was delivered to him during a Spanish holiday. Once back he got straight on it. It proved to be problematic but, three weeks later it was done and we drove home with it in perfect working order. Big thank you to Nick. Definitely recommend

I had gone to 4 places pertaining to a solenoid with no positive help. I googled and found this place and went to see Leon. Leon drove my vehicle and put it on the diagnostic and found no problems but told me if the light comes back on make sure i get my vehicle back to him. He was extremely helpful and had plenty of knowledge. His personality is AMAZING . This is my new go to mechanic. Thank you for Leon and keep being great!!Service: Transmission

This review is overdue, had major issues with my transmission locking on second gear a little over a year ago. Took it to this place and after some conversation we had an idea of what was going on but due to covid, suppliers were having issues delivering parts I needed. Specifically a TCM. Leon honestly gave me some honest advice, I looked around and eventually found what I needed. He performed the work and haven t had issues since. Would suggest you stop by and just chat with him if you re having issues.

Leon is the best!!! I called him on a Saturday after contacting another place about my need for new transmission lines. After reading the reviews here on Google .Leon said that he would put my lines on for a very reasonable price. The other place wanted almost double what he charged me!! Even though his shop was closed he made arrangements for me to pick up my car when it was finished and when I needed it. He did an excellent job and I have referred everyone who has asked me if I knew a trustworthy mechanic. Just like I'm telling you take your car to Leon you will not be disappointed. He is very honest and straightforward. He made me feel very comfortable.

Leo is a good and honest man. I came in for a transmission. It was actually not the problem. Another place would have taken me. I recommend anyone should come here to be treated right

Charged us $250 to change the solenoid but didn't fix anything. I had to take my car somewhere else and spend another 300 bucks to fix the car. The owner said they don't know what to do if the problem is electrical in nature. Maybe the next person can take the heed and ask appropriate questions and do more research before dropping off their car and getting billed for nothing.

Leon is the best mechanic in Tampa maybe even in Florida. He is the cheapest and most honest mechanic I have ever met. I have been bringing my vehicles to him for the past 4 almost 5 years as well as referring my family and friends to him. He is very compassionate about his work and quality his customers receive so I never worry about "I hope it is done right". Anytime I have an issue with my car I call Leon and tell him what's going on and he gives me a general idea of where to start and if I can't do it he does. I would highly recommend "Transmatics" for any repair service. You will NOT be disappointed EVER. Thank you Leon for eveything

If I could give a zero, I would. I m going to be very honest and transparent because I don t want anyone to go through what I went through. We called Leon letting him know we came to FL from NC for vacation. Our car gave up on us. We have a 2017 Nissan. He said he could fix it. We get our car tow to his shop. First of all he had no jumper cables. So he said he couldn t diagnosis it without the car running. It was very disappointing because we had already pay so much to get our car tow. So my husband got an Uber and went to purchase another battery. My husband comes back and changes the battery but our car was still shaking and stuff. So they come and say it was the gas pump but than later on said it wasn t that our car was fine. After that they were charging us $100 which my husband ask for what. Which he said for changing the battery. Which my husband change. After that my husband said but I change the battery and your sign says free diagnostic. So he end up saying don t give me anything. We left and 5 minutes later our car turn off again. We end up wasting money Again on a tow which tow our car to Nissan and was fix in an hour. Please please always be careful where you take your vehicle. Now we finally get to go home to our babies after a long stressful day.

Had the transmission rebuilt in my Acura TL back in January and haven't had any problems. Quality work done at an amazingly affordable price! I got quite a few estimates locally and they were the best price by far. Leon was knowledgeable & friendly. Great to find an affordable and honest repair shop. Will definitely be going back!

Leon is awesome!! I have been a loyal customer toTires Plus for 15 years. I had an issue with my car which I thought was my transmission. As I always do I took my car to Tires Plus and was told I needed a new transmission and was given a $3,000 estimate. I called Leon had my car towed to him only to find out my car did not need a transmission and my transmission was perfectly fine. He has now earned a customer for life due to his honesty and good work.

A little late writing this. My old explorer started shuddering at 35 mph. I took it to a well reviewed shop and described what it was doing he did not drive or diagnose it just said go to a transmission shop also well reviewed. I described symptoms and he said 3500 and 2 weeks. Took it here 2 business days later he call and asks to change the plugs and wires. I was puzzled as I was expecting a transmission repair. He checked it again and said I think the transmission is ok let me change the plugs and wires. 300 versus 3000. Great 2 months later and over 4000 miles still going without a issue. Leon at Transmatics is a person you can trust to work on your own cars and to recommend to your closest friends, without any hesitation. He is very knowledgeable, does good work and will not be dishonest just to make extra money. He tells it like it is and fixes only what you need to get back on the road again. I recently found him myself online by looking only at top Google reviews of various transmission shops. I have just taken 2 older cars to him with the impression that the transmission was shot (not shifting properly or not going into gear). Leon quickly diagnosed both problems and neither one was a bad transmission. This unexpectedly saved us well over $2000. One car was $180 to repair and the other was $370. Both cars now run fine. Another less honest shop could have easily charged for a full transmission repair for these 2 cars when it was not needed. Please give Transmatics a try so we can keep the good guys ahead of the the crowd.

Thus was the best mechanic experience I've ever had. Took my car to a mobile mechanic, AAA and the dealership. It took transmatics 1 day to fix my vehicle like nothing was wrong with it.Leon was very friendly, up front and experienced. I can't say enough good things about Leon and his shop! Went in thinking I was going to have to deal with an expensive transmission repair and thanks to his expertise and honesty it ended up being a quick affordable fix! What a weight of my shoulders! He went above and beyond and even gave me a ride to work!! Thank you Leon, you saved me a lot of stress at a difficult time. I will definitely be a customer of yours in the future and I will highly recommend you to my friends!

I took my truck to another shop to be repaired and they gave me a cost of $768 and then I found Leon from Transmatics and he did my repair for $100. And the mechanic I had been going to I Really trusted but Leon did a fabulous job and I highly recommend him to anybody. He was very fast and very efficient and has great communication.

Leon was simply superb!! His customer service and professionalism is beyond great! As a female especially, I've had experiences where people in this industry have tried to take advantage of me. Luckily, my dad taught me quite a bit about cars and I have been able to see a fabricated charge that I didn't need. Leon is as far from that person as yo can get. He is repectful, prompt, polite, and fair. He's everything you're looking for in a automobile repair professional!

Leon was not only a standup guy, but a standup mechanic. I had taken my car to another shop to get an estimate and then I took my car to Leon's shop and he did it for less than half the price. Not to mention he did it in one day. I dropped my car off on Tuesday and had it back Wednesday and it's been driving perfect ever since. I highly reccomend this shop and will be taking my 4runner there for all my future breakdowns and repairs.

Leon took great care of me. He was honest, professional and caring. As a young female it s hard to find a mechanic who will be honest with you and not try and and overcharge you. He is my new mechanic for as long as I m in Tampa. Thanks Leon!!

Leon is the most personable and considerate mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was extremely down to earth and straightforward about everything. He diagnosed my car and told me exactly what was wrong, how he could fix it, how long it would take, what it would cost, everything. I took my car to goodyear and they told me there was nothing they could do and sent me on my way. After a quick google search I found Transmatics. I was having transmission issues and was expecting to spend a couple thousand if not more to fix my car but Leon eased my worries and it ended up being only a couple hundred. The most reasonable pricing I've ever seen and he was extremely quick too! I will definitely be coming here for any and all vehicle repair needs in the future.

Leon and his team are the best. He seems to be one of the rare mechanics that will let me know what's wrong with my car and nothing more. I've never felt taken advantage of.. and never had to return to him for the same service. I'll definitely be back, but luckily I don't have to yet ;D

If you are looking for a great mechanic, GO TO LEON! I just moved to Tampa Bay area a year ago and I had a hard time finding a reliable place to bring my car for repairs. I brought it to Transmatics after someone recommended to me and I will only go there now. Leon is very knowledgeable, affordable, and does a great job! If you are looking for a great place to bring your car for auto repairs, bring it to Transmatics!
