Steve & Bebe might be one of the most honest mechanics I ve met this far. They really care about their customers and provide honest and quality care for your car. Not to mention they are just really nice and easy people to talk to as well. My ABS light was on & they did not give up until they found the root of the problem! Definitely would 10/10 recommend and will be coming back when needed.

If you're looking for honest and great service on your vehicles this is the place to go to. Steve and Bebe are just 2 great guys and mechanics with a wealth of knowledge between them. If you haven't been there I suggest you go there and give them a try you will not be disappointed at all.

I took my older model car to various places for general repair until I met Steve. Now, I will not let anyone else touch my car. Plain and simple, he knows cars. My father was a customer of Steve's first that turned into friendship. Steve was only place my dad took his vehicles for any service for 20+ years. Now my husband and I use him for all our service as well. He has stellar customer service, amazing pricing, as well as most importantly he's honest& will never try and "sell you work". If you truly want TOPNOTCH service don't go anywhere else for service to your vehicles!!!!

First i want to say Steve is an honest mechanic. I brought my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, power steering gear box they need to be replaced he's called me and advise me. It'd be better for me not to spend money I'm fixing to truck after a few days of pondering the idea for selling it to a junkyard the junkyard was going to give me $520 I mean I would have sold it if I had another vehicle but times are tough It's hard to save money at this time, I mean it was a gift and I didn't spend money for the truck right now might be a win-win hopefully. Again I would like to sing Steve at Top Notch Auto Repair for being an honest mechanic you cannot find guy's like this anymore.

My mother in law recommended this place to me when my pathfinder had issues. I took my vehicle to Topnotch Auto Repair, and within about 20 minutes the problems were discovered and suggestions on how to correct them. While Steve was making the repairs to my vehicle, he made a note of other areas that needed attention for future reference and things that needed to be addressed ASAP. Steve and his team worked quickly and had me back up and running in no time. Steve is a straightforward type of person and is very upfront with you. I didn't have any feelings of being cheated or ripped off. I will be a return customer and will recommend him to the folks I know.

I have never had such an amazing mechanic in my whole life! Steve has been keeping my should-be-dead car alive for nearly 3 years now. He is incredibly skilled, honest, patient, and helpful. He is real about what needs to be done, could be done, and what not to worry about (because frankly the car isn't worth dumping a ton of money into). He gives me options and thoroughly explains what's going on. I've called him many times on hours and after hours and he's talked me through how to manage small fixes (no charge), he's stayed late for me several times, and always keeps costs minimal. I truly feel like I have a guardian angel in this mechanic. Truly, cannot recommend him enough!!

In addition to this review, I had a bad experience using Steve to fix my BMW's a/c system. Look for that under this first issue.. This review is about how my father decided to use Steve to have the valve cover gaskets done on his Mercedes at "top notch" thinking he'd save a few dollars .. I'm very sensitive to smoke and was driving his car after it was supposedly repaired and I could smell the smoke from oil dripping off the engine. My father took it back to Steve and Steve said that it was fine and sent my father on his way. I decided to take it to Mercedes of Tampa and had it checked because I didn't trust Steve and was physically affected by the oil burning.. I followed the car into the back at the Mercedes dealership and had the tech show me where it was leaking from the gaskets while it was up on the rack. It was hard to see unless looking at it from under the car at the back of the valve covers. My father brought it back to Steve with the write up from Mercedes to have it re-done under Steve's repair warranty and he didn't do it right a second time. I brought it back to Mercedes a second time and it was still leaking, he said he would do it a third time and it still wasn't done right so we eventually had it done at Mercedes.. Again, I followed the car to make sure there was no foul play on Mercedes' part. Steve is either incompetent, a crook, or both. Don't waste your time trying to save a few bucks because time is money and your time and health are the most important things in this world..THE OTHER ISSUE...Went to Steve after freon leaked out of my BMW and the air was blowing warm. He filled it with freon, put die in it and said he saw no leaks. (I didn't really know anything about ac systems or freon and though it might need to be recharged on an older car as a normal thing) Because of this I decided to keep the car and put some money in to the suspension. About a month later, the air was blowing warm again. He told me it was a heat exchange valve,charged me for a repair and said the a/c was not leaking. A month later the air was blowing warm again. He filled it up again and probably put in too much because as he was filling it, he said the guages to measure freon aren't very accurate and then the freon leaked out in a cloud through the dash about 5 minutes after I left his shop. He then said it was the evaporator, he replaced the evaporator and cleaned the other a/c parts with something and when I drove it afterward, my entire mouth was bone dry.. Made him buy the car from me after that because I could no longer tolerate what was bothering my nose, mouth and throat. For about three months I was getting dizzy driving the car because he wasn't fixing the a/c and was probably breathing freon coming through the vents

Took my sister's van in to clean out some diesel that accidentally got out into the tank. Best price around, and they identified and repaired a valve leak, runs better than ever.Took my SUV in with check engine light, diagnosed actuator failing, replaced per spec with fresh oil in no time at super reasonable rates.Highly recommend, very knowledgeable and affordable.

Great repairs at a reasonable rate. Steve won't let you get repairs you don't need. I trust him for all our car repairs - foreign and domestic. He's the best!

Top Notch has been the preferred mechanic in my family for decades. Friendly staff who are very thorough and reasonably priced. Will tell me what needs to be done and when it should be done, no BS.
