I took my two thousand and seven honda accord to george to have him Look at what I thought was my transmission. He just drove it, And every other diagnostic procedure he could do. As a woman, We usually get taken advantage of because most mechanics thinks were idiots.He had my card. Is they spin an exceptional amount of time They spent And didn't charge me a dime. I highly recommend them, They are honest, Professional, And very easy to work with

They Use old parts and charge FULL STICKER , and then his sugar coat it to make it sound like you got the best deal in the world

After getting an entire transmission rebuild at another prominent Tampa transmission shop, based on a friend's recommendation, and having the problem re-occur less than a year later, George and his team at Tampa Trans fixed the *actual* issue with honesty and integrity and my car/transmission is running better than it has in over a year. Thanks, George :)

Very disorganized, chaotic and untrustworthy.They diagnosed my vehicle 3 times because they couldn't remember they already did it nor did they keep paperwork of even doing it.Said they could work on my vehicle if I drop it off, but after several days of not tending to it I had to pick it up as they said it would be a week before even looking at it.Although I even called way ahead of time to confirm they could and they said "yes" after checking their schedule.Very disappointed.

I brought my car in on a whim, convinced the transmission had failed again. Within 24 hours and a few hundred dollars later, George had my car running like new again. Ladies, your cars are in good hands here!

Awesome service! George was very nice and very easy to talk to about the issues my truck was having. These guys know exactly what they're talking about. Brought my truck in with a destroyed transfer case. They had a new one in and had me out the door in 3 and a half days. Definately reccomend!

Refused service !The owner yelled at me over the phone instead of troubleshooting my transmission issue. Any questions or information I offered about the car was taken personally or as an attack on his ego. I have been living with my transmission issue for weeks, but the owner was unwilling to hear my feedback or help. My first clue should have been when he stated he "had a business to run" like 4 times during standard technical talk.He suggested I pick the car up after their "diagnosis". Upon picking up my car, the Transmission and check engine lights were still one and were not even cleared out. Further explaining their apparent confusion when the engine seemed sluggish (what happens when in limp mode).Maybe they do good with work trucks, but otherwise horrible attitude from owner. Never been treated so badly in my life. BTW, I almost never write reviews. It took this clown to get me to.

George is the best guy you can have if you need transmission work done. He's very fair and honest; doesn't overcharge, price gouge or recommend unnecessary repairs and stands behind his mechanics' work. Nice to know someone like him is still around these days!

After my van broke down on the side of the road I had it towed to Tampa Trans Autocare. George took my van right in and had the problem resolved in just over a day. He was more than fair with his pricing and have no issues with the repairs. I highly recommend Tampa Trans Autocare and Geoge!

Was referred to this shop by another non-brand shop. Took my vehicle there for a quick swap of a couple Transmission solenoids, where it had to be left overnight, with no call for an update (stranded). The next day, I had to call them and get an update on the work. Transmission was slipping and they did their "scans for codes" and apparently couldn't find anything, as I gave them the codes that I received from a reputable auto parts company, but they didn't go by them. Long story short, I drove away feeling good that they did a good job, but half way home, transmission slipped again. Had to trade my baby in for another car!!! I do not recommend this "company". Sorry guys, I thought you would be good to me!

I have going to the Tampa Trans since the late 80s. Back then they were a Cottman store, but they went independent a couple of years ago and are now a full service automotive repair facility. I have had uniformly excellent service from them. Their prices are fair, the work is done properly and they are HONEST. The shop never tries to sell me extra services I didn't request and everything has always been very patiently explained to me. I always recommend this shop to my friends and none has ever reported anything other than good experiences to me.

This guy George is a real scumbag creep! I had a friend meet me there to pick me up when I was going to drop my vehicle off. George did not know my friend was with me. He over heard George and one of his mechanics make sexual comments regarding my teenage daughter. George was in the shop with the office door open, my friend had walked into the office obviously George was unaware to this beings he failed to close the door. At the time I was grabbing valuables out of the vehicle with my daughter. I walked back in, gave George my keys and said hi to my friend. My friend asked me to walk outside with him and told me what he over heard. Upon hearing this I walked back in the office asked George for my keys he had the busted look on his face I did not say a word to him walked straight to my car and left! This man has issues! I ve since learned of other things about this mans character and it is not good. Stay away from this business at all cost!

Thanks George you and your team of repairmen did an excellent job at the major task of tearing down and rebuilding my Honda Accord transmission 1999. Great job! My car runs like new now! Amazing!

These guys do top notch work. The years extended to my truck and my girlfriends car are numerous. I've never seen the owner in a foul mood and the mechanics aren't yelling or throwing tools and parts around.

George did an awesome job explaining everything that they were needing to do to my truck. After a trans rebuild and rear diff seal my truck was back on the road at a reasonable price!

Absolutely horrible. By far the worst repair shop I have ever been to, I returned the truck to them probably about 8 times for serious problems or failures because of bad workmanship within the first 200 miles. Nice owner, but being nice doesn't fix bad work.
