My starter went out so I had AAA tow my car to Southern Tire, They contacted me in the morning and they had my car ready the next day. So thankful for the great service

We took our car here to Southern Tire to fix our business vehicle and after $1,000 of work it had to be brought back twice. After the third time it still had issues so we took elsewhere.

Tim, Jamel and team..just fabulous!! The tires that were recommended were not in stock for my truck but I came back for a wheel alignment cause these guys are genuine. Always will be customer. Great service and brutally honest recommendations. Thank you guys!!

Terrific! Jamel got me a quote, found it better than all the rest I researched. They did an excellent job and the customer service was excellent! Jamel told me when the vehicle would be done and it was. Only warning; they are busy so plan ahead. They are honest about time lines. Told me around lunch time and the car was available at 1pm.

Pat is the mechanic there and he s done wonders to the blower motor in my truck. Jamel and Tim always makes sure everything is flawless. My favorite thing is that the owner doesn t push sales. No one ever tries to sell you something unless you really do need it. This is the best tire shop in Tampa.

Southern Tire Company came to the rescue for us yet again! I took my truck into a dealership and figured I'd get an oil change and have them check my brakes. I was told by the dealership that my breaks had 5mm left and were fine for the moment. Less than a month later, my brakes started to make a grinding sound. After contacting the dealership to question why my breaks are grinding, I was told to bring it back in. At this point, I did not feel comfortable taking my vehicle the dealership.I have had several previous positive experiences with Southern Tire, so I decided to bring my vehicle to them. Even though they were extremely busy, Tim took me in and got me set up for an inspection on my vehicle. A short time later, Tim called me and informed me that my truck rotors and pads were worn down metal to metal. I let Tim know what the dealership previously told me, and he replied that there is no way I could go through 5 mm of pads in less than a month. Southern Tire did a fantastic job of installing new rotors and new pads on my truck. When I picked up my vehicle, Elio (the mechanic that worked on my car) stated that he could not believe the condition of my old rotors and pads. Elio also reiterated that there is no way my truck could have torn through 5 mm of brake pads in such a short time. We all feel that the dealership did not do their due diligence in their inspection of my brakes, which in turn resulted in a much more involved repair. I am always astounded with the expertise and professionalism of Southern Tire, and am confident that Southern Tire does fantastic, honest work with reasonable prices.A gigantic thank you to Jamel, Tim, and Elio, for all your help in getting my truck safely back on the road.

I needed 4 tires badly. Dad, brother telling me to get in ASAP no more tread. I am a Costco member so thought about there but then I saw they needed to ship them in and there was no road hazard coverage choice. I remembered that my Moms group as well as a close friend recommended Southern Tire so I decided to reach out. I was able to get in same day. Friendly service throughout. There was absolutely no high pressure and I was given more than one option. I was able to pick a great tire, alignment, and road hazard. I feel safe again on the road and this is now my go to service shop.

Jamel and team are just great, period. Personable, honest, great prices, and always great work. Highly recommended these guys with anything you drive. They do all our tires, brakes, oil changes and routine maintenance on our higher line German Cars for a way better price than the stealership charges, with the same if not better work. They never pressure you into anything, never recommend things you don't actually need. Like I said they're just great.

Southern Tire is one of the few places in Tampa I trust with my car. The staff is super friendly and very honest. I go there for any repair service I need done and they never try to upsell me things I don t need. If multiple things are wrong with my car, they ll tell me what needs to be done now and what can wait so I don t break the bank. I highly recommend this place.

1/2 a star needed a tire fixed on my trailer tire they wouldn't help. I had to drive a flat tire up the road to get it fixed.

I am so glad I found this place! Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The manager Jamel (sp?) came through when I needed to replace my flat tire. I originally went to Toyota Tampa Bay yesterday where I purchased my vehicle but they wasted my time AND wanted to charge me double.I called Southern Tire Co. and Jamel told me I could drop off my tire and they ll have an even better brand tire for me today. Seamless and you don t feel like you re taken advantaged at all. As a woman who doesn t know cars well, I feel confident I can take my car here.

BEST OF THE BEST place to go!! Went to southern in the 70s and 80s, all our tires came from them. They were the place to go back then, probably still is. Great service, best tires, best prices. I remember them being on florida ave, but not sure. Richard Gilkison worked there, a Ken to my father, Charles Gilkison, the son of Ed Gilkison, that sold cars there at brooks Massey dodge in tampa. Just moved to Florida, and had someone recommend me to this place. My car was making a funny noise and they did a thorough check and fit me in despite how busy they were. They even stayed late after close to finish up my repairs. Amazing customer service. I will be coming here for all my car service needs from here on out.

Jamel is amazing! My wife s Model X was in need of some new tires. Jamel found us a great tire and reasonable price. Everything was communicated over the phone or text and when the day came for installation their key drop was very convenient. The car was completed when promised and the tires look great.

Called all over town for tires to fit my Charger 392. This place gave me the best information and the best prices. They accommodated my need to get it done the next day. Took two hours as expected and everything was done well. Knowledge, prices, and friendly people are a nice change. They know their business..Good places to eat across the street also.

Sitting in traffic and just witnessed a young man here helping an elderly lady put her walker in the back seat and guiding her to the driver's seat. The smile on her face truly showed how much she appreciated the assistance! We also go here for service and it's always great!

I use to recommend stc. They took 8 hours to put a patch on my tire, couldn t find the lugnut key I had to get a ride there to find it for them ( right where I said it was located).6/24/22 I see under all your reviews you aren t really taking responsibility. It is nice to see you respond to reviews but no you did not warn me it would take an usually long time when I dropped it off. After lunch would have been nice like 12:30 -1 but it was 4:30 when you called and said it was ready. What you didn t mention when I dropped it off is the fact you had cars from the day before to still work on, which I was told when I had to find the lugnut.

Thank you for your honest and reasonable repairs. I really appreciate you guys don't take advantage of customers. Each time I have brought my car in, I have been helped quickly and treated fairly. As a female, auto repairs have been a source of frustration for numerous reasons aside from the car issue itself. I feel confident bringing my car to you without reinforcements (my husband) because I have been treated respectfully and honestly each time. Sad to say, that's not the case everywhere. You guys have given me hope I have found an honest, reliable place to take all our vehicles from now on. As a family of 4, that's important.

Excellent independent service location. I have got a variety of work done over the last 3 years from servicing our cars, new tires, rim repairs, brakes and rotors. Their work is always high quality, friendly and efficient. Jamel and the staff there are very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Staff was friendly and they we re able to get my truck and my girls car in for new tires the same day. They were reasonably priced and never tried to push anything after we told them what we wanted. They also had my tires (Toyo R/T 33x12.50) on hand, which was a surprise as it s usually not the case. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and will be utilizing them again in the future.

Southern Tire Company is the absolute best repair shop in town. They are honest and do amazing work. I've been taking my truck there for a few years now and they are the only ones I trust to work on it. If you need some work done on your vehicle I highly recommend Southern Tire.

Southern Tire Company was recommended to me for tire and alignment work after I had mechanic work done and I cannot be happier. When I called Jamel and explained my needs and that I was not in a position to just drop the car and go, he helped to make it work for me. He and his team were professional, honest, and provided me three financial options (frugal, middle of road, and top of the line) and talked me through each one. I asked about my brakes and he shared that mine were not in need yet (I think I would have been up-sole in other places). Bonus, they offered me a free tire rotation every 7000 miles... maybe a marketing tool, but I am greatly appreciative!

Top notch service, honestly picked a random spot bc my car was in some serious need of new tires and an alignment. But I will for sure return bc of the great work and honesty of the shop. Jamel went above and beyond to ensure this will b my routine car shop.

Honestly these guys are the best. Go see Jamel, he's taken care of our business Jeep as well as my personal Cayenne. They always have exotic cars there which should tell you something, they're half the price of the local stealerships, and the team does fantastic work. Highly recommended.

Thorough assessment, courteous service, careful work, and honest!I called them at the end of my shift to have my tire checked. Front Tire had been running low and occasionally making the tire sensor go off on the Benz. No matter how much I refilled it at home, a few days later the sensor would go off. I was expecting a nail or some pierced object in the tire.I called them around 430pm hoping they could help. Gentleman on the phone said bring it in and we'll take care of you. I was there by 455pm. Juan was my technician and he did a great job carefully removing the wheel and inspecting the tire. He found the issue to be loose valves! Tire was fine. He had the torque wrench to carefully tighten the outer nut and inside valve stem. Showing me while he did it, I could easily see the reason for the leak. (even though he had already showed me using the soapy water technique which is tried and true in my book). Then he checked the other three tires and reset the tire sensors after a quick drive. I am very happy I called them and they deserve all the annual awards they get! I could have gotten charged more, but they were extremely fair and I let them know I was very grateful. I am keeping this local business on my short list for go to businesses!

I used to work here, great people great atmosphere! Stop by and see Jamel or GregFree rotation and balance if you buy tires from them. Jamel is always out to help customers in any way he can to make sure your taking care of.. he's always in a great mood and makes people laugh! The Mechanics Carrie and Elio are great at what they do, never disappoint..the owner Troy Ragano is definitely a great boss to have.. great with customers and serious with business. His father Tony was always a great man to me, always shook my hand and asked how i was doing? RIP it's hard to forget real, honest upstanding people.. this review is one i will never forget. So stop by and see what i am talking about. Visit Southern Tire if you need your tires and automobile fixed.
