Unfortunately, things came up and we didn t need a trailer anymore. BUT! Dave was super helpful at the time with all the info we asked for. Very quick in his responses! He followed up with me after a week just to hear that I don t need the trailer anymore. He was very understanding and I am very positive that Dave will be the person I go to, when times change again and I would need to get a trailer. Thanks so much for your dedication, Dave!

He has a fast and do hundreds of tires a day. You can get in and out and their selection was fantastic. Used tires for cheap and great service.

Blew out 2 tires and required assistance. I had my vehicle towed to STAT.I was informed that replacement tires would be special ordered and vehicle would not be ready until following day. That was not a problem for me.I was about to order a Uber to take me home when I was offered a ride home.Received call following morning about 1000 stating vehicle was ready to be picked up.I own a tire and rim warranty, after speaking to the reps from warranty company I had to return to STAY office and ask them to supply the warranty company information. They assisted me immediately with this in order to expedite my reimbursement.I can't say enough good about this establishment. All the best and thanks for your support.

Today while on vacation, we stopped here after our truck's system, again said low pressure back driver's side tire. Again, we took it in for air. They were so polite and friendly, plus they didn't charge us anything. We tipped the overjoyed worker, said our thanks and happily went on our way without a problem. Now, that is customer service! Thanks again!

I heard about South Tampa Auto & Tire from the great reviews on Google and they weren t lying! I m a student down here alone and don t know anything about cars or have anyone nearby to help me. As soon as I got there he put the car up and started looking at it. He was kind and efficient, telling me that what was leaking underneath was my A/C and not oil and then helped me repair the shield that was hanging loose down below very quickly. I will 100% be coming back to South Tampa Auto & Tire for any work my car needs done.

I've always had wonderful experiences taking my car here. The staff is amazing and are always there to greet you when you walk in. They are honest and reliable and the prices are fair. Dave was incredible , he did a full diagnostic on my car free of charge. I am really happy I have found a mechanic shop I feel comfortable with and can trust! Highly recommend this place, as you would be in really good hands!

My family is military and so we are not from Tampa and know no one in the area. I saw the great reviews for South Tampa Auto and they are close to MacDill AFB so I gave them a try. My car needed a lot of work unfortunately. Robert was awesome. He was honest and honored the military. His customer service was great. He kept me updated on my car, explained the services needed, and was open to answering my questions. Joe worked on my car and did an awesome job. I needed a new alternator, starter, mass air flow sensor, and driver side power window panel replacement. I could immediately tell a huge improvement in my car s operating system the minute I drove away from their business. I recommend them to everyone and this is my go-to mechanic now. I am not a family member or friend of anyone who works at South Tampa Auto. I was merely so impressed with the overall service and price that I just had to write a positive review. Thank you so much Robert and Joe! Keep up the good work South Tampa Auto! It is appreciated and does not go unnoticed! - Leigh McCall

The only trustworthy and fair priced mechanic I've found in S. Tampa so far. I highly recommend them. They have had many opportunities to jack the price up when the job took longer than expected, but have never done so, and my cars are performing flawlessly. Don't let the location scare you away, they are a class act business that will take good care of you. 5 stars.

These guys are awesome, honest and friendly. I had taken my car up the street to a different chain store after having a puncture in my tire and was told I needed a new tire. I was skeptical, so I took it to South Tampa Auto and Tire. They patched it up in 15 minutes. They saved me $150. I also asked if they could put my spare tire back under my car. They did that for free and were super nice about it. Highly recommend!

100% recommend! I had an emergency that didn't need major work or would take a lot of time and the staff quickly helped and didn't even care about pricing. They were focused on helping me out and getting me back on the road. Service like this makes we want to take all my car care needs to them!

I've had Robert and his team do work on my vehicles that either I didn't have time for or didn't want to do ranging from tire changes to head gaskets. Robert has always been professional and communicated with me throughout the repairs and the prices have been very fair. My family and I are thankful to have a trustworthy shop close by.

Extremely competent business and great customer service! I had a crazy piece of metal stuck in my tire and they handled my issue like I would expect from any expert in their field! They were honest about what they could do to help me and I was greatly appreciative! Highly recommended! Locals are lucky to have a shop like this in town! Thanks again!

The crew at South Tama Auto and Tire are awesome. John consistently kept in contact with me the entire week my car was in their shop, and Dave answered all my questions and was helpful with the whole process as well. I had been a loyal customer of South Tampa Auto and Tire since I moved to Tampa, FL back in 2019. Every service completed on my vehicle was satisfactory and without issue. Unfortunately, things change.In early August, it was discovered during a routine oil change at the dealership that my rear struts were shot. I received a quote for $2,000 to replace both. I felt that was extremely high and took my vehicle to my trusted mechanic, South Tampa Auto and Tire (STAT). I spoke with Manny after their assessment and it was determined that the rear struts were indeed shot. I was quoted a total cost (parts and labor) of $1632.45. Given my previous experience with STAT and the $400 savings, it was a no-brainer.In order to secure parts, I offered to pay $1000 in advance so that I could get the work done on a day that worked with my schedule. This was not required. I offered it up. Again, trust. On August 18th, the work was completed and the remainder of the balance was paid.Fast forward EIGHT DAYS. I began hearing/feeling strange noises in the front of the vehicle. Due to my location and not wanting to stress the vehicle, I took it to a nearby mechanic. It was determined that not only were the front struts now shot, but the NEWLY INSTALLED STRUTS were leaking and near failure. Stunned, I called STAT and spoke with Manny. On Monday, August 30th, I dropped off my vehicle to STAT. I watched the inspection and it was noted that the shock were leaking and replacements were needed. I politely requested a refund for the cost of parts ONLY. Had the rear struts failed after twelve months, I certainly would have exercised the warranty on the parts. However, after EIGHT DAYS, I had no confidence that a new set of the same parts would yield a different result. I did, however, offer to pay for the labor as that work was completed. Fair is fair. I was shocked to learn that STAT would NOT REFUND the cost of parts--a $1200 cost to me!I pursued with both Manny and the owner (whose name escapes). I was repeatedly denied the request of a parts refund. I decided to delete the expensive air shocks and go to a standard coil and strut system. STAT offered to install at their cost. Great. That did me no good. Now, I was into the parts for $2000! A free install did not move the needle at all. I couldn't believe the treatment I was receiving. I requested again to speak with the owner. He reached out ONE TIME...and left a voicemail. I'm a busy man and don't have the time to chase down an issue that I had NO FAULT IN. If they cared about customer service, they would have done more than ROB ME of $1632.45!!!Clearly, I opted to use the mechanic that identified the faulty parts to install the delete kit and have had no issues since. In all, I'm in to the repairs $3145 with not such as a word from STAT since the first attempt to contact me.I have no recourse now but to challenge the transaction with my credit card company OR to go to small claims court. Neither or which I have the time or energy to devote to.Shame on this company.

These guys are amazing. I just needed a tire balance. No wait, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Super friendly and great prices. I already recommended them to people in my office, and will be going back again.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and great customer service! They kept in contact with me about my car's needs, didn't try to sell me on needless services, and they were very competitive with their pricing! Car care was completed in a timely manner. Would highly recommend!

South Tampa Auto and Tire was an excellent and professional service. When I called them about having my headlights changed, they advised me to purchase the parts before arriving to prevent markups. I've never dealt with an auto repair shop that was willing to consider saving me money! Also, due to the headlights being pressed up against the engine, I had struggled to find a shop that was willing to change my lights for me. They were a great help and I will be sure to use them again in the future.

Excellent customer service. They update you every step of the way. Highly recommended. After coming here for years, I can happily say I will never go to another mechanic. Consistent service from extremely knowledgeable mechanics!

About 2 weeks go the valve stem broke on one of my tires and every other tire place was quoting me for a full new tire. This shop was recommended and fixed it for me at a great price, so today when I needed my spare plugged I thought of them went back and again they took care of it. Great shop great guys highly recommend

This auto shop is friendly, quick and efficient. The owner and his crew are always ready to get the job done. I appreciate the fact that they don't recommend parts to be "fixed" or "replaced" when it isn't needed! They are straight forward, honest and affordable!

Awesome service!!! Twice I have called for my daughter who is a UT student. They got her in and out in between classes and work. No miss no fuss. They treated her kindly and were incredibly efficient. I highly recommend them! Thanks to Dave and everyone there!

This place is amazing. I went in a few weeks ago to have my headlights replaced. I called beforehand to get a quote and was told it would take approx. an hour to complete. I got there and it took the guys less than 30. Robert was a fantastic help!! Will def. go back.

Love this place! They are great and have looked over my car a couple of times to let me know what's going on with it. They've done a bit of work on my boyfriend's car and he has been pleased as well. Great prices and friendly place to take your car. I highly recommend it!
